Hansraj College : The good , The bad and the opportunities

Likes

The atmosphere in the college is very positive and motivating .
The faculty is always ready to support students and help them in information they needed
The badminton court and the presence of ac in that is very cool

Dislikes

I disliked the presence of monkeys as they disturb students
The unavailability of cricket net or any pitch
In some blocks availability of uncomfortable benches is the issue but it is manageable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have great interest in management and accounting so that's why I choose this course and the limitation is that it lacked pratical situations it only deals with theory . The time lag in the exams is less according to me as I suffered incomplete exams in sem 1 or reduce the no.of questions or answer writing pages .

All you need to know about Hansraj College

Likes

I really liked the various societies of my college. There are good number of societies in my college where one student can get enrolled into according to their passion and grab many opportunities. And these societies help build your personality.
Various events that take place in the college. It's never like that our college is not having any event. Events are taking place in the auditorium where various renowned political leaders are as well invited to have one to one speaker session .
The environment of the college it is a ragging free area where no student is bullied or harrassed. There are various anti ragging community to look into this matter. So the college provides a healthy environment for the students.

Dislikes

Only thing which I dislike is the infrastructure I think the washrooms can be more well maintained and the other thing is the attendance category. Hansraj follows a strict 67 percent attendance category which is compulsory for all the students.

The college placements are really good. The college even has a placement cell that works quite well. The lowest package offered by the college is of 8 lakhs and the highest is around 30 lakhs something. Many renowned companies come in for the placement. The highest package goes from bcom honours.

Excellent experience but can be better with efforts of students and faculty

Likes

The library of college is lne of the best in whole university.
There are so many options for food and canteen. The college itself has 1 large vanteen and 3 cafeteria
A large ground for sports events and lot of equipment also there

Dislikes

The college admin staff is much strict even to its students and puts unnecessary fines and rules
You can't access the ground till 12 PM is one of worst rule
The college fees is very high as compared to all other colleges

Placements occur in two phases first in 3rd semester for Phase 1 and then Phase 2 in 4th semester. Percentage of people placed is low but the package and companies they got is excellent. The packages offered from 7.5 LPA to as high as 26 LPA. A lot of big companies visit the campus.

Holistic Experience at Delhi University

Diversity of people and variety of societies
Diversity of people and variety of courses
Learned faculty and exposure filled events

Dislikes

Tedious examination admit card obtaining process
No scholarships on purely merit basis of those who don't have financially weak background.
Strict environment with script discipline like school

Placement Experience:

Average placement package last year was 7.90 LPA. So, overall very beneficial for BCOM and economics students since they get placements. Would have preferred some wide ranging placement availability on the basis of skills than course.

The faculty here is very experienced and have great achievements in their respective fields.
The exposure of societies and the alumni network is unachievable
Infrasturcture is very good as conoared ti other colleges of university of delhi

Dislikes

Facilities realted to sports can discourage .
There are too many pokitical activities involved in day to day college.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements generally admfter 5 semester. Some beacme eligible after 4 also. The placements process starts in the 5 semester itself. The highest package in 2023 was 34 lakhs per annum.

Campus life is superb and infrastructure is wow faculties are also good enough but bsc geology faculties are highly qualified and superb an our department is located in main campus of Delhi University so u get to interact with phd scholars

Dislikes

We are not excess to hostel gate in events and Saturday Sunday. Which is very frustrating because main gate is little bit far.which I don't like and college garden we are not allowed as it is very beautiful and clicking pictures is in certain place

As for placement in consultation and other related firms but for sciences course u don't get placement. As u can opt for placement cell by doing internship u get excess to it from any course.u should have knowledge about particular subject.placement is not that good bt yes it give decent placement

The opportunities provided in the college is vast.
The exposure that you get in a city like Delhi.
Placement opportunities given by the college.

Dislikes

The college canteen doesn’t serve non vegetarian food and recently they've hiked the price
The security checks seem unreasonable, we go through it everyday.
Hostelers don’t get to use the ground past 5

The placements are very good, with the highest package being 30LPA and the average being around 8LPA. The placement cell of the college is very helpful and accessible for us students. The seniors and th faculty are also very approachable if we need any help or advice.

The infrastructure of college is great , most of the washrooms are clean and most of the things are done on online basis
Every class is equipped with 2 or 3 ac and new blocks have centralized ac
Every detail of student can be seen on the student portal , his attendance, mentor and other details.

Dislikes

Wifi services in college doesn't work well

Placement Experience:

Hansraj College has its dedicated placement cell which works quite well. You can find good companies coming here for placements. Average package revolves around 10 to 12 lpa which is expected to rise in coming years . But there are certain factors to avail good placement. Make sure to maintain decent cgpa to be able to sit in placements

The Honourable Hansraj.

Likes

The things which i liked the most about my college is the opportunities that they provide, there are more than 50 college societies in which you can enroll yourself and you will get learn alot of things.
There is also an internship cell and placement cell in my college which provides you internships on a regular basis which gives a corporate experience and makes you prepared well for the placements.
The faculty is highly qualified and very supportive, they understand students problem and tries to help them. The atmosphere is great because each & every student here is a topper which increased the competitiveness.

Dislikes

The only thing which i disliked about my college is the administration because sometimes it works very slowly.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 5th semester. There are really big companies like BCG, Bain & company, Big four, zomato, paytm, HDFC, ICICI,Goldman sachs etc. Which visits our campus for recruitment purpose. The highest package of this year is 36.5Lpa & average package is 8.63Lpa. The profiles which were offered for the students are for Consulting, sales and Marketing, investment banking, Accountant, HR, Finance, Content writer, etc. The percentage of placements is between 50 to 60%. I will pursue higher education after this degree and i will also sit for the placements.

Hansraj College - University of Delhi

Infrastructure is one of the best in the whole University. Hansraj college provides top of the art infrastructure facilities which includes various amenities like sports ground, basketball court, volleyball court, indoor badminton court, and more.
The Placement Cell of our college is oke the best providing the best opportunities available in the market including jobs in the fields of finance, consulting, accounting, computer science, marketing and many more. The Internship Cell is also good.
The faculty is quite good and even the best in the whole University. We have people who have earned their PhD in their own respective fields and are well versed with their domains. They continuously inculcate innovative ways of educating us.

Dislikes

One thing I dislike is the rigorous academic structure including the attendance criteria.

The placement is quite good at Hansraj. Students become eligible in their sixth semester to sit for campus placements. Some well known companies include Deloitte, ZS associates, Bain and Co., McKinsey, BCG, Pwc, KPMG, HDFC, Kotak Bank, and many more well known names. Highest package of this year went up to 24 LPA and average package stands at 7 LPA. The median package stands at 8 LPA. Most number of offers were made by finance and consulting companies and their roles. 80% of the students who sat for their placement got placed. My plans after getting the degree is to sit for the placement and get a decent package in finance background and after 2 years of good experience I plan on getting an MBA from a top B school.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
