Reality-check of Hansraj College

Likes

I really liked the infrastructure which is much better than other DU colleges.
Good facilities of Gym, Yoga room, and sports such as badminton, shooting, archery.
Strong placement and internship support. Strong Alumni network which is quite helpful.

Dislikes

Overall the Campus is a bit small seeing the huge strength of students.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placement from 6th semester itself. More than 200 companies visit the college and make more than 500+ offers. The highest package is Rs 22 LPA and the average package is Rs 8 LPA. The Median package is also RS 8 LPA. These are one of the highest among the commerce colleges.

The students are applicable to sit for placements starting from 3rd year onwards. Hansraj college invites big companies like accenture and amazon to hire from the bright minds of hansraj. The packages go higher upto 25 lakhs with average being a great 8 lakhs per annum. I also want to sit in the placement session next year.

Hansraj college is lively

Our faculty is supremely talented and highly knowledgable
Placements offered are top-tier and of unimaginable amounts
The infrastructure looks no less than heaven itself

The admin office delays a bit, but comes up with full accuracy

The placements at my college are lavishly rich in number and ctc as well. More than 90% students get placed each year with superb scores. Companies like bcg and apple visit our campus for recruitment. Highest ctc go upto 25 lakhs and average being 8 lakhs. I also plan to sit for the amazing process of placements at hansraj next year

Hansraj college life

Likes

The infrastructure is quiet developed as compared to other government colleges and is easily accessible to it's students
No ragging policy is strictly followed in the college and strict action is taken if anyone is found to be guilty
The teaching faculty is quiet good and makes sure to teach all the concepts in the class and doesn't take leaves very often

Dislikes

The attendance criteria is quiet strict. Students having below 67% are not allowed to appear in semester exams unless they submit a written affidavit for the same highlighting the reason for the shortcoming.

Placement Experience:

For Bcom(hons), most of the students who appear for the on-campus placements gets placed with an average package of rs 900,000/year to upward of rs 24,00,000/ year. Placements in consulting domain secure the highest compensation packages with a median of around rs 12,00,000/ year. The course allows students to pursue interests from diverse fields and not just stick to one single field to secure employment.

Hansraj: The Comprehensive College to Learn and Explore

Likes

The good crowd and the quality of students in the college is a good environment
The facility and infrastructure is well made and the college is large in size
The library is large and has a vast number of books available and peaceful environment

Dislikes

The washrooms can be improved and cleanliness can be better
Location is farthest from the metro station
The college can improve on various chairs and tables.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really well defined considering the syllabus being aligned to other colleges providing the same course as well. The course dives deep into various topics and gives a comprehensive understanding on the same. Various other internships or courses are provided as well.

My experience at Hansraj College

Likes

The faculty members are highly knowledgeable, approachable and always ready to clear doubt, both inside and outside the classroom, which improves understanding
The campus environment is disciplined, clean, and academically focus which creates a motivating atmosphere for students to remain serious about their studies
The labs library and computer facilities are modern well maintained and provide all the resources required for practical learning and project work

Dislikes

The only minor issues that during P hours from classrooms and labs become heavily crowded, but it affects the learning experience and interaction with teachers

Placement Experience:

placements at my college for computer. Science are decent and scheduling improving every year. Students become eligible for campus placement from the fifth and sixth semester through the college placement, reputed companies and several start-ups regularly. Visit the campus and offer roles in Stock furred development, data analysis, testing, and consulting the average package, usually ranges between 4 to 10 lakhs while the highest package for technical roles can go above 10 lakhs depending upon the company and profile around 60 to 70% of industry insurance get placed through campus drive. The placement provide good training, resume, guidance and interview preparation sessions after completing my degree. I plan to gain industry experience through placements and later Pari, higher studies and computer science, strengthen my technical expertise and career prospects.

HRC and North Campus

Likes

Professors let the student participate in the class instead of just giving the lecture
The societies of college are very active which lets the growth of the individual

Placement Experience:

The placement occurs in the college in the third year and major companies in the field of commerce (i.e, KPMG, Deloitte) comes to get fresh talent. The average package offered is around 900000 rupees and highest as mush i know was 36 lakhs last year.

I really liked them campus and the fact that it has 3 cafes . College cafeteria , NEScafe , Mitticafe
The faculty and teaching methods are amazing and helps me understand complex concepts better
I like the campus gardens and feild. Also like playing in the indoor badminton court

Dislikes

I dislike the washrooms as they not very well built or maintained

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are good for any 3 year program or undergrad college. It allows us to network with people from very good companies such as Bain and Co and Mckinsey. Students become elegible in semester 5.

A honest and raw review on ground level reality of hansraj college delhi university

Likes

Diversity is the best thing of hansraj college you get friend circle of almost from every domain and its really great for holistic development
The student union and its management is really great and they work for students problems
Ofcourse infrastructure, its the best. Every classroom has ACs and floor , building and everything else is well maintained and cleanliness is on top never seen such green lushy and clean college campus in delhi university

Dislikes

Timetable management is little off side for Students perspective but its hard for them as well to manage time for so many courses and classrooms with their respective faculty

Hansraj College Review: Academic and Student Experience

Likes

The faculty is AMAZING. They are very experienced and know what they are teaching.
Seniors and professors are friendly and will guide you through your academic journey.
Campus is clean and infrastructure is good too. The girls to boys ratio is like 50:50.

Dislikes

Attendance is strict and it is mendatory to maintain 67%,else you'll have to write applications.
No fun fest and events. HRC's principal Rama tries very hard to maintain discipline.
Garden maintenance fee is charged but students are not allowed in lawn. Gym is currently closed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I find the curriculum academically rigorous and relevant, with a strong focus on economic theory and quantitative skills. Greater practical exposure and application-based learning would further enhance its real-world relevance.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
