GREAT INFRASTRUCTURE: The college area is always clean and is properly maintained, it offers one of the best infra in du, all the classrooms have ac.
EXPERIENCED FACULTY: The faculty is from top colleges themselves and is also occupied with a long years of experience.
VERY ACTIVE SOCIEITIES: The socities here are really active, hosting frequent events, inviting great guest and act as a full charger to your personality development journey.

Dislikes

POLITICS: During the election season it becomes quite hectic with all those people asking for the support and even giving free meals just for the sake, destroying the meaning of fair elections
STRICTNESS: The administration here is quite strict , especially in regard to attendence
LACK OF BIG EVENTS : specifically to our college , the events are not being upto the mark of the top college yet, waiting for some big great events

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specially about my course, it is really practical. You get to know about so many economic models and their application through a mix of a lot of maths. It brings in a whole new mindset to look at things going around you. It is highly relevant as well which is clearly visible from the fact that last year this course brought the highest package of 25lpa in the college.

Hansraj College:My experience

Likes

The environment of college is one thing i really liked
the teachers from my first year were very helpful with everything
The exposure i got in my first year was immense for my growth

Dislikes

the infrastructure and the staffs barely helped
the principal being very strict really damaged the experience
the library is barely usable and plus the principal made it a place where we cant even use our electronics

Placement Experience:

After your third year students become eligible for campus placements..There are many companies who visited and have shown interest in our students such as google,microsoft,SBI and many more..The packages offered are very confidential but the percentage of students getting placements are higher than average even im planning to get placements after getting my degree from this college

HRC is a highly regarded college in DU!!

Likes

One of our college garden is named LP and that is where most students spends most of the time.
Campus is clean like a whistle and even canteens are so clean that I have my lunch there daily.
Washrooms too are well maintained at our campus.

Dislikes

There is a boys hostel but no girls hostel at our campus.

Economics Hons can offer financial assistance and become great consultation too. So from Deloitte or the Big 4 many consultancy firms such as BCG and many more may not be that big but do come to our campus for recruitments.

Harsh Truth about Hansraj

The faculties are really good, they try to teach us exponentially rather than only going with the text in our semester 1, don't what will happen in semester 2.
The college has good classes with AC equipped in each classes.

Dislikes

I don't like the crowded canteen when ever i visit their to have food all the seats are occupied.
some classes do have really chilled AC but few classes the AC dont even work properly
The societies are good but the heads of well know societies are arrogant they ask stupid question to us rather than interviewing us based on our skills. Even the societies recently establish has some arrogant head's.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i am from a business and commerce background this course automatically attracts me, but these course does includes a deep knownledge on Accounts, Law and management which helps an individual to exel in business or some other fields in life. the curiculum surely prepare as it is a practical course full of real life knowledge which we study in law and management. and the course also have a broader future academic pursuits. The course curriculum and teaching methods is great only in MPA ma'am some times try to be practical and ask question but no one is prepared excpet some few kids some it gets difficult, like explanation part get's messed up i guess due to different perspective. The improvement should be with college timing the college must follow timings like Shaheed Bhagat singh college morning and evening classes which makes the college less crowded and efficient as per student needs. The frequency and timings of exam are ok.

HRC is a hostile college!!

Likes

HRC campus is amazing and best is the building with the top alumni names of the college.
SRK posters which is visible daily is a point i gaze daily and remind myself that I want to achieve those highs.
Our faculties are Lionel Messi of teaching as they are talented and works hard at the same time.

Dislikes

Politics is involved in societies and outsiders don't get chances easily.

At HRC placements cell has majority of students from our department and this is the sole reason why I have chosen this course. From consultancy to finance roles everything is possible at HRC as companies like Bain Capital to Boston Consulting Group, every group comes to our college for placements.

Hansraj College review

Likes

Hansraj College has all the basic infrastructure like labs, Auditorium, Seminar halls, stationary, cafeteria, wide wifi enabled library, ATM, also have a huge parking area, sports ground etc.
Our college has very good faculties and good placement records for various industry oriented courses such as Computer science, Electronics, Physics etc.
Hansraj College has many great societies in which you can work as per your interest. Also our college has a numerous well known alumnus who have given rich contribution to our nation.

Dislikes

I have felt sometimes our college is over crowded.

Placement Experience:

Geology course doesn't produce any campus placement just after UG since it is a field which needs in deep knowledge. But, Hansraj College make you apt for competitive exams after Undergraduation also the atmosphere here help you to prepare for Entrance exams for further education in best Universities. Also scoring very good marks make you offerable for various scholarships from top institution from all over the world since University of Delhi and Hansraj College are globally recognised. My current plan is to do an MBA or PG Diploma in Management (especially in the field of Environment, Forestry or Travel and Tourism).

Hansraj College is North Campus heartthrob as the campus is always full of energy and life.
From political backgrounds to art, a lot of renowned names have passed out from our college.
Our campus is bigger than many DU colleges.

Dislikes

Too much pressure as managing society work and academics becomes way too much consuming.

Placement Experience:

Hansraj College's active placements cell is managing both intenrships and placements. Mind you both are great as our college is known for giving students the core placements and therefore Mathematics Hons students are placed in companies where they can make the best use of their abilities and also in the role they are best suited.

Bollywood celebs like Anurag Kashyap and the King Khan, Shahrukh Khan were alumni of our college.
It's one of the oldest colleges of DU and thus have a special charm attached to it.
HRC is one of the top colleges of DU North Campus.

Dislikes

Classrooms are small and strength is high so classrooms become quite congested.

From Boston Consulting Group to Acer and many other consulting firms as we can best serve as Consultants. Junior reoles with a salary of 5 lakhs an annum is what we were offered and mostly in top consultancy firms is where students of HRC are placed.

A true review about DU

Likes

The infrastructure is really upto the mark the classes are very big and we hve 3 blocks in which the college is devided and a lot of extra spaces and building cor other stuff
The ground area is pretty big and we have a bit of equipmemts and a seperate badminton and tt court
We have a lot of seminar halls and 3 auditorioums and more are in yhe maling

Dislikes

I disliked a few professors as they seem less professional
The previous sports assistant was not off any help buy the sports head is attentively making progress for the students
Wifi and connection issues to a dmall scale but its not that big a deal

Placement Experience:

The placememts im hannsraj have always been good but not all get it only a few good courses see the majority of placings like all commerce and economics course annd the humanities side lacks in getting placements, but the name speaks for itself if ur from hansraj and the delhi university u can make up for it later using your learnings, my plans are to study more and do my business and startup side by side

Honest review of Hansraj college

Likes

AC in each classroom . That is not in every college of delhi university.
Hansraj college has excellent sports facilities, including a large sports field, an indoor sports complex.
Good aluminai network ex shah rukh khan, naveen jindal

Dislikes

Same students despite good in academic found lack of internship opportunities
lack of freedom due to strict guidelines and attendance policies,
Small campus size and also classroom size is not so large

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opt this course (Bsc hons chemistry) because it is easy as compared to others like physics or maths . The teaching method of allmost all the teachers is good . The frequency and timings of the exams acc to me is not so bad there is enough time to attempt all the questions in the exam.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
