Amazing College but lacks in few aspects

The college has a reputed Brand name which came handy while opting for off campus Placements and Internships. The Placements is decent here when compared to South and Off campus colleges and they have an average placement of 14,00,000+ offered
The campus life is pretty great I get to meet some of the best minds of India and it makes the atmosphere competitive on the same time which is toxic but good for personal development.
With exceptions the faculty is great here. Hansraj lacks in infrastructure as we have small campus and needs repairs. But overall the campus is decent as compared to other colleges.

Dislikes

The level of internship provided is not good and one has to look for off campus opportunities for the same. Even though college have 70+ societies most of them are not useful for CV and Placement purposes.
The Course Curriculum is not good but the college can't be blamed for this as it is prepared by Delhi University but the Course Curriculum has not updated for years and subjects like Hindi are being taught to students.

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester students become eligible for Campus Placements. Companies include Bain, ZS, LEK, Accenture, DE Shaw, PWC, Deloitte, Futures First, EY, United Airlines, Zomato, Digit, Airtel, Genpact, Lenskart, ICICI Bank, Grant Thornton, NAMO, Ecom Express etc. and 280+ offers are made, Highest Package is 23,00,000 and average placement is 820000 with Top Quartile Avergae of 14,00,000 with 26% roles in Consulting, 31% in Finance and 17% in accounting. My plan is to pursue CA

The college was pretty good in the aspects of studies and also in the aspect of infrastructure.
My engagement was quite good with everybody because, i believe in helping nature and all the staffs and faculty are very supportive in this aspect
The faculty of the college was more qualified and supportive in our academics. Professor are good and give further guidance for our future.

Dislikes

Some times senior professors was not supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because in the department of botany our college got 1st rank in all over India. And also botany is the core branch of any biology courses which belongs from plant biology. The frequency of exams was approximately 3 months in a semester. And level of examination was moderate which is pretty good for students.

Hansraj - The most beautiful and serene college in north campus

Placement Experience:

semester 5 is when students become eligible for placement but now it is Semester 7. Major consulting and banking companies visit the campus. you have to be thorough with quant basics. The highest package goes as high as 20 lpa and the average is around 3.5 lpa.

Clear Your Myths about HRC.

The faculty of the Hansraj College is great. They are all assistant professors or professors with Ph.D Degree. They are highly educated and experienced. Always demonstrates the concepts with real life example henceforth making the learning easier.
It has made significant and unparalleled contributions in terms of producing scholars, bureaucrats, intellectuals, and sportsperson serving in different domains not only in our own country but even at international levels.
They students studying there are all scholars with percentage more than 90 in their 12 th boards which make the environment in the Hansraj College, competative. Apart from these HRC also provides NCC and NSS which helps in overall holistic growth.

Dislikes

Hansraj College doesn't enough give freedom. Expects students to follow their guidelines. Due to which the development seems forced not self desired. Attendance system in HRC stops students growth in the field they want to choose in their life
Popular for its loud politics which won't be the case in the coming years, just learn anything bad from the rowdy seniors. Though there is no Ragging in the college but it has it's own boys hostel which is famous for its ragging system.
It's doesn't organise much of cultural and NCC events due to money related issues although they have their funds in student union.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course in Hansraj College is only course which is private and one of the toughest amongst all the courses that the college offers to students . BSC Computer science Hons is bit difficult yet much interesting. We used to learn software engineer, Database Management System, DSA , Computer Networks , Artificial intelligence, machine learning . Every class is held frequently during a week . Equal weightage is given to all the subjects we used to learn. The course is not updated and needs to be updated according to the current situation.

Yes, the college provides very good placement opportunity. Average salary may be 6-8 lakh per year but you can get upto 20-25 lakh per year. Several of companies visit the college but I dont have more details cause I havent seen placements yet. From 5th semester student can look for placement opportunity.

Know Hansraj College (DU) with an experience of 3rd year student

Society - different society of my college such as debating, poetry, singing,civil services society,etc are very much active and always achieve top ranking among all different colleges of DU
Infrastructure of my college - each and every class is Fully air conditioned along with greenery outside class room's. It's LP area is very famous where shahrukh khan had proposed her wife.
Professors and staff - all of them behave very well. They work with Full determination to keep our future bright and maintain the position of our college among most prestigious college's of DU.

Dislikes

Hostel cannot be availed by all students ,only top scorers could get into it. although you can get it by another year if you score well in your semester exams
During examination there used to be gap of 5 to 6 day's on an average that makes it longer and takes a month to complete.

Placement Experience:

In the second semester, I was given an interview for an internship within college..that required IT skills that one must possess to avail of such benefits. I'm not sure about it as it is known mostly among commerce students I have heard about a highest package of 18 lakhs and an average of 10 lakhs I will be pursuing an MA in my course and going for civil services.

The infrastructure of hansraj College is really amazing and we enjoyed it every day..! LP area is such a relaxing spot for all the peoples.! Library attached with digital space is really a good place to learn new and feeling alive..!
The greenery of hansraj and one of the longest flag at gate is one of the prime attraction
Canteen is really good however the price of food is little high

Dislikes

The college is more concentrated on hinduism and it's essence.! The Vibes not gives the modern world experience like more Targeted on hindi language.
Food of Canteen is average and price is so high..!
The philosophy department of hansraj is not so much good..! I am really not interested in my department due to their inactivity

Placement Experience:

Internships opportunity is available for all students who take admission in college The hansraj College is one of the prime institution in Delhi University. Lots of companies make placement in hansraj College like Mahindra, tata, HdFc bank , the Hindu , dainik jagran, ramkrishna mission, and many more.. In my idea Highest package of my college is about 20 lac per annum in Mahindra finance.! The student is of commerce department hansraj College. The student which has good academic and multi dimensional knowledge gets placement.placement ratio is more than average..! ( 50 %) After getting the degree my plan is to prepare for upsc and net jrf examination

Hansraj: Naam Toh Suna Hi Hoga

Very clean and green infrastructure, the buildings are well maintained and regular cleaning takes place.
We have got 3 small cafés to chill after classes and a reasonably priced college canteen with good food options and tastes also good.
a two story library for students with quite a good collections of books. Very useful for college and entrance exam preparations. The library is also opted with free wifi and a computer for personal use.

Dislikes

The management can be really unhelpful at times and can make your problems even worse and be really unhelpful sometimes.
The college playground which is obviously for students to play is mostly closed due to maintenance, it's like closed 60 percent of the time maybe even 70 percent. Where do we play then? In the classrooms?
If someone ever forgets their id cards, they can't enter through the addmission slip which is online and a proof that we are for sure students of this college and a student might have to go back to bring the id card for entry.

Placement Experience:

I personally don't know much about how does the placement in my college works, but we do have a placement cell which helps students get placements and internships. That's all I know about the placements part in the college. But most of the students and my fellow classmates doesnt seem to care about the placement from the college part and are more focused on the government exams including myself. I plan on giving UPSC and CDS and if I get selected then well and good else I plan on giving banking sectors exams, railways and mass media. I'll be doing some part time job(s) after college to support myself and preparing for these exams side by side.

Life at Hansraj College: All about Academics, Clubs, and Placements.

I like Infrastructure: Our college has well-maintained Infrastructure such as AC furnished classes, 2 floor library with Wifi, Proper seating area in Canteen and so on.
Another great part of being in Hansraj is clean and safe campus. When it comes to this college, you'll find great variety of flowers with well-maintained lawns and clean roads and corridors. The best part is that they do keep animals' safety in mind.
Last but not least, I pretty much enjoy the friendly enviroment of the college. It does have healthy compitition, yet the extra co-activities and society helps in thinking outside of the box and enhancing our other skills

Dislikes

Although I like almost everything but I have to admit that DU including our college as well has to work on their management team. Times when we have exams or getting our admit card signed, many students has faced rude replies from the team.
Another thing for me would be Faculty. I admit my Faculty is pretty good, but I'm still not satisfied with the way they teach. I expect them to explain things than saying, "you might have already known."
When it comes to fest, Hansraj is not the ideal college. Usually, we don't have fest. But this year, we did have one, which also was pretty average. The management and finance team could do better.

Placement Experience:

Hansraj has a strong reputation for its academic and vibrant campus life. Hansraj Placement Cell facilitates placements across various courses. However, English Honours might not see the same direct placements as technical and management courses. Yet, students still have opportunities to secure positions in fields like content writing, publishing, media, advertising, and public relations. Many students also gain practical experiences through internships in Publishing houses, Media companies, NGOs, and so on. In the future, students can go for higher studies. Some can plan their career in the teaching and research field. Others can opt for creative fields like content creation, and journalism. There are slight chances for them to work in the corporate sector too as they possess critical thinking, and communication skills, which are highly valued in finding roles in Human Resources, Marketing, and business development.

A Holistic Review of Hansraj College

Likes

The infrastructure is just awesome with all the classes equiped with air conditioning.
Teachers are well experienced and has a ability to teach students in a better way.

Dislikes

Hostel seats are limited which are given on the basis of merit.

Placement Experience:

Current i am in my 2nd year of my college so didn't sit for the placement but i have seen my seniors this year getting an average package of 8 lakhs per year. There is a particular placement cell in the college and placement process is also conducted by them .

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
