Hansraj in a nutshell

Likes

The building is very beautiful. The infrastructure is good and it's clean as well.
The faculty is sufficient in this college. They do take classes on time and are well erudite.
The curriculum they follow is directed by University of delhi, so it's obvious that it's one of the best curriculum followed in india.

Dislikes

There's very strict rule of entering the library which hinders ones ability to access books in the library.
The canteen food is expensive. You either have to rely on outside street food or bring your own tiffin.
Some of the classes are smaller in size and it gets compact when too many students are to enter the class.

Placement Experience:

To be honest, college offers no placements for courses like MA. But it has a placement society which provides placement opportunities for professional courses like commerce and business. However, you get good jobs after getting graduated from top colleges of Delhi University. Many of the students of Delhi University clear top entrance exams because the college curriculum not only prepares you for the exmas but for entrance exams as well.

Campus provide a good environment to students for study.my college campus area is large and full of greenery which is a positive vibe. Building of my college is just renovated so it is well facilitated with AC and projector it is best college of Delh
In my college various types of course are there like some course of science, arts and commerce .due to this reason their students are from different mindset which give us different knowledge about their courses which will help in development of brain
Good things is to that my have various societies which will in developing personality of students.their is a sports society which helps us participate in sports events,dance society and the best society of my college in nistha society civil services

Dislikes

Bad thing about my college is fee structure which high as compared to all other courses of Delhi University,the fees of science course is too much high, college is not practical it only focused on theoretical thing.office staff College of is not good
One more bad thing about my college their no hostel facility for all students.due to unavailability of hostel students will live outer side of college and faces many problems like food ,travel and water, and the price of pg and flat is too much high.
College also provide Canteen facilities but the price of dish is high and can't afford my normal student,the gym facilities is also not provided by college but it is mention in college prospects. College also have library but the time is not suitable

Hansraj College: A deeper insight into the UNIVERSITY OF DELHI'S NORTH CAMPUS.

Likes

I liked the atmoshphere and the exposure provided over here.
The studies over here is a competition which pushes you forward to enskill yourself.
I liked the teaching and non teaching staff and faculty here.

Dislikes

Everytime there is some or other programme, event, game going on in here that makes the college interesting but at the same time it empties the classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is chemistry Honors and it is a bit theoretical and practical subject but less of a earning subject because we do not get placements directly after Bachelors in Sciences specially fields like chemistry, So a long future waits ahead. One needs to pursue higher education. But chemistry subject is very interesting and easy at the same time I would recommend everyone here that all the courses of Hansraj College are very well. We have internal exams, laboratory exams(practical's) and file and assignment submission and external(final) exams in a semester.

Review about Hansraj College.

Likes

The infrastructure of college is very brilliant. It has lot of facilities and is very helpful.
Each Student is assigned a mentor which help them and guide them throughout the session.
College also has great faculty. All teachers are very hard working and give their 100% to teach the class.

Dislikes

The curriculum is very bad, we have to study subjects which have no relevance to our core subjects and is a burden to us.
Syllabus is increased, no. Of hours is decreased which causes a very big problem to us. Syllabus doesn't finish on time

The curriculum is very ok. Basically ,When I was searching for the college after 12 one senior has refered me that you can take admission in this college in Btech Cse, As there is good faculty of cse in the college as well the infra was so good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Hansraj Econ Review

I really liked the faculty there.They were so supportive and helpful.
The infrastructure of hansraj was also very catchy.Its impossible to not love the infrastructure, be it the classes, sports ground or library.
The placement society was really impressive as all those who wished to get placed eventually got placed in good companies.

Dislikes

I didn't like the fact that the sports faculty only facilitates the students who are from sports quota.
The hostel guard was also not friendly enough. I have to really struggle sometimes for getting binto the hostel even though i was residing there only.
Although the crowd of hansraj was good but due to so much admissions for the 2023 batch, the professors were not able to connect with each and every student due to this some students felt left out.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was overall good and being a economics honours courses it was challenging at times. The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Likes

Faculty at Hansraj College possess strong academic backgrounds and engaging teaching methods. I appreciate the teacher's and professor's mentorship and their guidance for projects.
The college has a inclusive campus life alongwith numerous societies, events and cultural fests. This allows us to explore our interests beyond academics.
The college consists well-maintained classrooms, a well-stocked central library and a clean and green campus, providing a positive learning environment.

Dislikes

The capacity of college hostel is limited, and also off-campus housing (living in PG) cam be expensive for some students.

Our college's Lp area is the best thing, btw Lp stands for lover's point
Our college have 5 canteens -nescafe, coca cola,main canteen, mitti cafe and the amul

Bsc life Science do not provide and placement in any firm or Mnc (on or off) but it do provide research oppurtinties, internship and workshops in filed of Science . Inter college exchange program are held for internships too

A day at Hansraj

Likes

College has a really great infrastructure with red walls. We have 5 canteens in out college including amul and Nescafe.
College has a 3 gardens and a large ground as well. We have shooting arena as well as badminton courts. All the classrooms are fully air conditioned and clean.
I am pursuing bsc life sciences and college has good infrastructure including labs and latest equipments.

Dislikes

Attendance is compulsory and they call your parents if you don't have above 67% attendance.
Professors are very strict and rigid about your studies
Society culture is little toxic and there is dominance of commerce and economics in student bodies

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life sciences is a very diverse course which touches all the three domains of pure sciences that is chemistry,botany and zoology so it's very diverse. Classes are regular but not hectic. Every class is well structured and syllabus is completed on time.

There are few things I like about my college. The college's infrastructure while still lacking in many ways, is one of the better ones when compared to other colleges in Delhi University. The college canteen is also decent enough.
The canteen offers a variety of meals at affordable prices. No non-vegetarian food here though, so if you're a meat lover, you'll be disappointed. The crowd here is generally nice. I've had nothing but nice interactions with everyone I've met here.
The people here are diverse. Although, I have seen a good amount of them being from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Dislikes

As I mentioned earlier, the college infrastructure is still lacking in many ways. Renovations are going on all the time. Despite that many classrooms have old desks, air conditioning doesn't work everywhere, and only a small amount of rooms are
So much equipment is either broken or doesn't work properly because they've been using the same old stuff for years. The college by itself offers no internship opportunities but few do come from Delhi University.
I've heard from different society members, citing the lack of funding to societies to be an issue. Overall, I've had a very lukewarm experience in college. It has had minimal impact on my personal and professional development.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
