Reality check to HRC

Likes

I liked that our college have students from whole around India
The fees is less compare to others universities
Professors are very intelligent and helpful

Dislikes

Sometimes I disliked the quota system in college
Sports equipment are good but not the best
Canteen food is not of much good quality

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum could have been better as it sometimes have some baseless points amd talks. Many bogus scrap courses like VAC and SEC they are not so important but still carry a big chunk of CGPA

Inside Hansraj college: A holistic experience of academics, placements and campus life

Likes

The faculty is top-notch. The professors are the best in the country and have very good experience. Their teaching methodology is also really good.
The infrastucture of the campus is really good. It offers various types of facilities such as WiFi, sports complex, eating outlets and many more.
The level of exposure that hansarians get cannot be received at any other college. There are many sessions with notable speakers like Om Birla, Naveen Jindal, SRK etc.

Dislikes

The college is very conjusted. There is a lot of public in the campus making it not a good place for hangout.
There are no placements for most of the science students not making it a good option for them.
The elections, at the peak seasons cause a lot of issues to the students. Candidates keep disturbing and destroy the vibe of the whole process.

Placement Experience:

6th semester students are eligible for placements. The various companies that come for recruitment are the big 4, deloitte, google, and many more.... And about 200-300 offers were made for my course. The highest placements go upto Rs 36 LPA and average placements go upto Rs 9 LPA. Almost 80-90% students get placed in my course. I wish to go for an MBA after my graduation.

Behind the scenes from Hansraj

The societies are really active. There is a variety of societies for all kind of people for fulfilling all kind of needs whether it is emotional ,social ,artistic or professional needs. The process to get in them is rigourous though.
Seniors are friendly and helpful , possibly more amiable then batchmates too .
Some professors are sincere others are not , but they do help in other ways . For eg they provide books and readings to students with financial constraint.

Dislikes

The environment sometimes can get very competitive and thus toxic.
Since the strength of batch is huge , it reduces teachers attention and facilities per head .
Girls hostel has only 4 washrooms for 30 girls and even the fee is way too high

Placement Experience:

The alumni network of hansraj is strong as it has been a doorway for many famous bureaucrats and entrepreneurs such as Naveen Jindal himself. The societies are very active as well which enhance real life skills of students which further helps them to acquire a job due to experience. The internship cell works for giving us access to prospective internship which starts from sem 1 too. The highest package stood at 36.5 lakhs . The placement cell of Hansraj is a student run cell that plays a huge role too . As I have said before , majority of students offered job (74%) were from commerce stream. The average package stands at 8.2 lpa and median at 7 lpa

My experience in college was nice and also the environment is nice in college.
You will find a lot of opportunities in college. There are varieties of societies in college.
The teachers are really very talented and well qualified in their fields.

Dislikes

I never disliked anything of my college. If there is any flaw even i have accepted it.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in our college. They are very organised and hardworking. You can apply for placement in your 5th semester or 3rd year. Many companies visit like TresVista, BlueStone, etc Average package is Rs 800000, and highest is around Rs 2400000

AN INSIGHT OF THE HANSRAJ COLLEGE

Likes

The campus is very big and vibrant. There is always something or the other going on.
The societies are always active and the LP area of the college is always crowded and is very happening.
The classrooms are very spacious and are fully air- conditioned.

Dislikes

The academic part of the college is not very great and there is no system.
The societies are not very welcoming as such.
The people are not very friendly and you have to find your people.

Placement Experience:

I am currently in first year so dont know about placements in detail but i know some seniors who have landed an average package of 5 to 6 lakhs rupees per annum. The placement cell of our college is very active and ensure the student are in touch,

My Hansraj life

Likes

Personally I liked library of hansraj college because it is a quiet place to to study in your free time and it have lot's of books on every stream to boost your knowledge
The second think i like is LP area where there is lots of social interaction with other stream students irrespective of their gender.
The staff is also very Friendly and they encourage students to choose your long term goals

Dislikes

The wifi connectivity in Library and limited availability of seats in Library
The gym is only open for the students who is in any sports

Course Curriculum Overview:

I pursue BA programme in HISTORY and ECONOMICS. It is course of my choice because i want to clear UPSC in my first attempt after the completion of 3 year college degree. This course is over-all better because there is no deep study in it and assignments are also Easy and less time consuming. And the life time is used for social interactions and other enjoyment of college life. The degree have 6 semester of 3 years . Each semester have 1 semester ending exams First in January and second in june. The exams is not that much difficult because only some self study and attention in class can achieve you higher marks.

The senior junior interactions . they're so helpful and so coperative
There are soo soo many societies available for different intrests
The campus is very beautiful and the infrastructure is deckled up with new equipments

Dislikes

The politics that happens in college is super annoying and toxic
The teachers are never on time and the classes get cancelled frequently
It's a no no place for introverts like you will feel lost

After graduation there are not much opportunities available for placements but after completing the masters degree you can easily get jobs and placement at some renowned institution of country like gsi ongc and relaince.

Better facilities like air conditioned classrooms and cold water supply
Professors are very friendly and Frank and always helping
Moreover there is sports facility as well if you are bored by studying a lot and you can play sports

Dislikes

Non relevancy of the syllabus start in the real life
Cricket ground is not available in the college and there is no equipment for cricket
There is no lift in the science department you have to travel last years

It is very comprehensive and attached with the real life experience is the tortoise the problems in programming which like the real companies want to acquire in a student or their employee that's all by the way I would like to add nothing

Likes

Colleges offer a wide range of courses and programs that help students gain in-depth knowledge in their chosen fields.
College is a great place to meet new people and form lasting friendships. There are numerous clubs, organizations, and events to participate in.
Students often develop important life skills such as time management, critical thinking, and independence.

Dislikes

Balancing Responsibilities: Managing academics, part-time jobs, and social life can be difficulty and stressful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Relevance and comprehensiveness by my course I want to become a scientist. And I have more opportunities in government examinations I chose this program because of my favorite subject. There are practical exams in this program also. They are using very effective methods by teaching faculty that was helped in understanding the material for the student. The examination conducted was average and more size, than the examination paper conducted on the given syllabus there I experienced it very well so I think this is a very beautiful journey for me.

Hansraj College: Insight

Likes

The best thing about Hansraj College is interaction and exposure we'll get here, like after joining different socities you'll be exposed to people, you'll interact with students coming from different roots of india and students from different streams
Another Good thing here is library of Hansraj College, which is well equipped with AC, wifi, clean Washrooms and comfortable chairs. Availability of books is also good
Additionally, the faculty is really good, professors are really helpful and well educated with great pedogogy

Dislikes

First thing I didn't like was the campus, it's quite small and classes are small too, desks are very old, I remember once the fan was that old that it fell downs on a students in the class, luckily he wasn't hurt much
Second is the labs, they are too quite old and needs to share equiments among the other labs
last is the placement, being NAAC rated A++ the college doesn't meet the placement record, so if you're planning to take admission here get your plan B with yourself

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for Bio in my 11th that's why I was already bent towards biology, botany zoology are the main branches of it so I opted for one of them curriculum is relevant and helps you to solve the real world applications, practicals helps you to enhance your learning outcomes course curriculum can be better if the subjects like AEC and VAC are removed as they doesn't help much

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
