An Inside View of Hansraj College.

There are many things that I personally liked about my college, but the library of the college has to be in the top list
The Speciality of our college is its classrooms. it is among the only feww colleges in du to have AC's in every class with smartboards and projectors.
The faculty of our college is also top notch

Dislikes

The Food quality of the canteen is one thing which disappointed me. The canteen in our college provides very cheap quality food
our college also lacks the required sports facaliteies that should be improved.
The fees of our college is also a bit expensive as compared to other colleges in DU . this is the one aspect which needs to be improved.

Placement Experience:

Placements levels in our college are average. The Average package in College is around 8lakhs. the highest package goes upto 36lakhs. placements are mostly offered to the students studying in either BCOM or in Economics. Around 60 percent of the students from this courses get the placement . many companies like Gshaw, DELL , McKenzie, DELLOITE,etc visits the campus for recruitment. aroun 50 companies comes every year.

My experience in hansraj

Likes

I liked the crowed of the hansraj college
I also like infrastructure and college enviroment
some faculty are good but some are wierd in nature

Dislikes

some professor are very irrogant and conservative
Politics in my college is very bad and its very create a lots of chaos during elecation
Studnet union is worked under college principal pressure.

I love to explore philosophy i loved to know the perspective of differnt differnt peoples and its very tough to get college in north campus like hansraj i worked hard for the same and after a lots of hustle i got my dream college

Dream college

Likes

Classroom are fully furnished. And ac rooms.
College ground is so maintained. All sports activities were accomplished.
Gardening and cleaningnes is so satisfying.

Dislikes

Campus is little bit small but not too small.
Due to same unsatisfactory reason sports ground is mainly closed.
Hostel fees is high for financially suffering students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is available in few colleges of Delhi University. So when I get admission to this college i don't know how it will be . But now I satisfied with the course and college both. Because I have learnt more than I expected.

Campus tour of Hansraj without going in campus

Likes

College gives good Exposure to the students
College environment is very safe as compared to rest of Delhi
Food facilities inside campus are very good .there are AC in each and every class room

Dislikes

Hostel is very small especially girls hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

I found course design to be very interesting. In bachelor degree they are trying to give students as much diverse knowledge as they can in the specific field. Apart from this I really liked the addition of environmental studies in curriculum as this subject is very important to all of us no matter which you are in which field

Great College and Campus Life

Likes

The campus life is awesome. You can find yourself surrounded with talented and hardworking students.
The infrastructure of college is great. The rooms, library, auditorium, seminar room, labs, canteen, toilets and cleanliness of open area is just awesome.
The area nearby college is also surrounded by other colleges of north campus. So you enjoy other college's events, workshops, seminars etc.

Dislikes

The hostel of college is not affordable. We have to live in rooms and pgs nearby so we can't use college resources like library
The academic teachings could be better. More advanced equipment and methods should be there for teaching and learning.
The faculty could be more experienced and more in numbers. This disappointed me the most.

Placement Experience:

Only third year students get placement opportunities. There is a placement cell of the University which helps the students to get placed in top companies like Infosys, Google, Adobe etc. Only a few students get placed as they lack important skills so most of them go for higher studies and government exams. I am also looking for higher studies in some research college.

As Hansraj College is one of the prestigious college of North campus of Delhi University. Along with all facilities the placement of Hansraj College is best average package is 600000 or 800000 but highest package are above 3000000 I guess

Average student thought on the College

Likes

The professors are highly qualified and are helpful and understanding
The college library is excellent with air conditioning and manh books available for all courses.
Various different societies and cells are there and each student cam find something they like and can find like minded people

Dislikes

Infrastructure is little bit old but the college is working on it
Non working Air conditioners in Some Classrooms which is a problem during summer.

I will say that the Placement is mediocre but also depends on your academic performance throughout the year , the college do provide opportunities for campus Placement but it can be quite tough to clear. The average package is around 8 LPA.

An Insight into the Student Life at Hansraj College

Likes

The faculty is top notch and there are a lot of courses in the college.
Vast placement opportunities and internship exposure. The societies are tremendous and give one a diverse experience in different positions. Opportunity to participate in various competitions to enhance our profile and glorify the name of the college
Great facilities like libraries, incubation centres, cafe giving one a feel of campus.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester, students become eligible to sit for placement. The placements are really amazing as top performing companies (Big4), startups, government companies hire students from the campus. The tier 3 package can range upto 25 lakhs per month which was the highest during our academic year.

Amazing College but lacks in few aspects

The college has a reputed Brand name which came handy while opting for off campus Placements and Internships. The Placements is decent here when compared to South and Off campus colleges and they have an average placement of 14,00,000+ offered
The campus life is pretty great I get to meet some of the best minds of India and it makes the atmosphere competitive on the same time which is toxic but good for personal development.
With exceptions the faculty is great here. Hansraj lacks in infrastructure as we have small campus and needs repairs. But overall the campus is decent as compared to other colleges.

Dislikes

The level of internship provided is not good and one has to look for off campus opportunities for the same. Even though college have 70+ societies most of them are not useful for CV and Placement purposes.
The Course Curriculum is not good but the college can't be blamed for this as it is prepared by Delhi University but the Course Curriculum has not updated for years and subjects like Hindi are being taught to students.

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester students become eligible for Campus Placements. Companies include Bain, ZS, LEK, Accenture, DE Shaw, PWC, Deloitte, Futures First, EY, United Airlines, Zomato, Digit, Airtel, Genpact, Lenskart, ICICI Bank, Grant Thornton, NAMO, Ecom Express etc. and 280+ offers are made, Highest Package is 23,00,000 and average placement is 820000 with Top Quartile Avergae of 14,00,000 with 26% roles in Consulting, 31% in Finance and 17% in accounting. My plan is to pursue CA

The college was pretty good in the aspects of studies and also in the aspect of infrastructure.
My engagement was quite good with everybody because, i believe in helping nature and all the staffs and faculty are very supportive in this aspect
The faculty of the college was more qualified and supportive in our academics. Professor are good and give further guidance for our future.

Dislikes

Some times senior professors was not supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because in the department of botany our college got 1st rank in all over India. And also botany is the core branch of any biology courses which belongs from plant biology. The frequency of exams was approximately 3 months in a semester. And level of examination was moderate which is pretty good for students.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
