The structure of societies in college, the rigorousness in recruitment and the kind of exposure provided by various societies in different fields including finance, consultancy, management specifically for bcom (hons) along with other courses.
The quality of social interactions with a hard-working, skilful and helpful crowd that goes out of their way to assist other peers in their personal as well as professional goals.
I also love how there are chat groups generated for different courses that update about various internship opportunities available at every stage of college including first, second and third year students.

Dislikes

The lack of certain learning facilities like access to computer labs as they are reserved only for B.A. Computer Science (Hons) students while Bcom (hons) students also require such facilities for practical application of accounting.

Placement Experience:

- In most cases, students become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester/ start of final year onwards. - Bain and Company, BCG, Accenture, Delloite, EY, KPMG, PwC, Infosys, HCL,ICICI, DE Shaw are major recruiters that show up very frequently for campus placements at Hansraj College. Overall there are about 200+ offers for placement across all courses. - Highest Package- 23 LPA, Average Package- 9 LPA, Median package- 8.4 LPA - Around 15% placement percentage across all courses for Undergraduation. Around 40-45% recruitment of specifically bcom (hons) students - Plans after getting the degree: Get a CFA Charter, Go for an MBA in Finance from Abroad

students start getting placements from 5th semester. Few of the companies that visited for campuplacement are deloitte, EY pwc offering various roles such as business consultant, auditing intern, research anaylst, junior associate, auditing intern etc. the highest package is abt 25 lakh and average package is 7-8 lakh. about 40 -50% students get the placement.

MY COLLEGE LIFE EXPERIENCE

Likes

Teachers are well experienced and motivates students
Surrounded by talented students encourages healthy competition
The college provide exposure through societies, seminars, fests

Dislikes

Academic pressure for first year students who are adjusting from school to college life
competition becomes stressful sometimes and affects mental peace
Strict attendance requirement and continuous internal assessments can feel exhausting

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course 8/10 . Curriculum is largely well structured and conceptually strong . it balances theory with analytical understanding , overall course is comprehensive , challenging enriching.

An honest evaluation of my college

Likes

Teachers are so good so hardworking always ready to help
Infrastructure is quite good , Ac's are available in all the classes
Non teaching staff is good and the college also offers language courses

Dislikes

The stationary shop is quite overcrowded and take huge prices
The canteen is not that good and is overpriced
The events are not that much upto the mark , improvement can happen

Curriculum is old and rigid , they still teach old methods and syllabus is updated very slow. But with introduction of sec and vac courses students have some different options which they can choose to study for their semester.

our campus is too good it looks too asthetic at night. So overall campus is very serene and soothing.
In my first semester, faculties are good except some we have good teachers in business laws and MPA
I also like the environment of my college which is very kind and helping nature. In starting I thought it will be gonna bad but in actual proved me wrong.

Dislikes

In first semester, when those student election things were going on many students came inside college premises with shouting. The management was bad
In semester exams all the students faced issue at collection of bags before the exam. College had a bad management for taking bags of students and many students got late to their exams.
Management decisions are bad as they eliminate the problems instead of solving them.

Placement Experience:

Bain & company, Accenture , de shaw any many more companies visited for campus. In last year two second year students got internships in Accenture and de shaw for around 60k and 90k. The highest package of my college is 36 LPA. Percentage of students getting placements is decent I don't have an accurate data. My plan after getting the degree is to do job practice for 1-2 years and then masters.

Insight about Hansraj

Likes

As soon as we enter there are trees by our sides and all a great college view can be seen
There is not only canteen where we can eat but also many other places are there within collage where we can eat and interact
each and every class are fun with teachers and its fun and each classes have AC which makes it suitable even in summer and there is no bullying and its fun

Dislikes

not having a strong Wi-Fi in classes as we only have it in library and canteen

Placement is offered from 5th semister as before that they are reccommended to do some internships to add value to their CV so that theu stand out and nott be a genreal common person for the job. Mnay companies have vistied our Campus like Aceenture, Nation with Namo,etc and a great offer are always given. Highest package is about 12-15lakh and position are of connsultants. i do have a lot of plans but am still explorig my strength

Hansraj College - A Comprehensive review

Really liked how diverse the college is. Its full of people from different parts of the country and from different background. The college life in general is really bustling and lovely. Everyone is really friendly and helpful.
Most rooms in the college are equipped with multiple ACs which is something that even top colleges like stephen's and hindu lack
The library of the college is very well equipped with all types of course and non course books.

Dislikes

The amount of people in the college is quiet large making the college quiet dense compared to other DU colleges.
The administration of the college is a bit of a headache. You might face trouble when you'll have to interact with them.
The number of papers offered in some semester is quiet less. You might might it troubling in a few semester when there are no good quality papers available

Placement Experience:

The placements are fairly decent. Although majority of the people who get placed are mostly from two courses - BCom(H) and Economics. I've seen some real top companies visit the college like Goldman Sachs and Bain. People from science courses don't get a large amount of placements. People from Maths and Computer Science still have heavy chances of getting placed.

A quite insights into the hansraj college

Likes

Societies which gives you exposure and helps you to continue with your interest and hobbies along with your academics
Well equipped Labs , seriousness of proffesors towards academics . The college has Nescafe, canteen and one of the best initiative by the students of enactus ...mitti cafe that provide employment to disabled peoples
The friends i met here from different cities , of different culture ,and of different vibe

Dislikes

Well though some Professor are very good , but some are very toxic , they dont shy away from showing biasness toward their fav . But well this happems in every college
The thing i disliked about the college the most is its inability in conducting a good enjoyable fest . Though college is very serkous in academics but it lacks in organising the fest , events, societies dont get properfunds as well
Dont expect very big campus like life because it hasn't. College start hote hi khtm ho jaata h .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well for me it was my prior interest in the field of zoology during my neet prep times , that made me to choose this course. Along with that the hansraj colege has good reputation in its zoology department as well . But the college still follow traditional way of teaching thatbinvolve teaching straight out from ppt , directly reading the sentences for some. Though mosts sof t he soecimens are available in the college but the only bad thing is that the ration of student to microscope is very high . Like most of the microscope don't even work. It becomes pretty hectic for us to study gor core sub along with electives .taking heavy subject from the pool of ge , sec , vac , is a kind of wastage because most if the teachers don't even take classes properly .

An Insight Into Hansraj College

Placement cell is really active providing good placement opportunities along with various internship opportunities
The societies are really active heeding to overall development of a student, the college also provide mentorship facility to every student
The diversity is very high in college both among students as well as teachers, also the college is very welcoming

Dislikes

The college lacks a bit in infrastructure where the washrooms are not clean enough, the classrooms are often smaller compared to the number of students
The events organised by college such as fests, freshers as well as other events are not upto the level
The student to teacher ratio is really high for some courses such as Bcom hons, making it a bit difficult to focus on individuality

The overall placement opportunities are good. Students become eligible for placements from semester 5th . Various companies that visit our college are - Accenture, E&Y, Deloitte, PwC etc. The highest package offered was 2300000 and average package was 900000 p .a. Approx 40 percent of the students secured placement. I plan to secure a placement after getting degree from college and pursue masters.

Likes

Infrastructure appears to be pretty much well maintained .
The crowd is healthy and competitive which helps you to work hard.
Canteen maintain hygiene and affortable too.

Dislikes

The attendance criteria of 67.5 is not feasible for everyone.
The time-table of classes is very hectic .
Few of the subject like SEC, VAC are not relevant.

Placement Experience:

Student become eligible for campus placement from 5th semester . Companies like HCL , Paytm etc. praticipate . Average placement of college is 9LPA and most of the students placed are from commerce . Highest package is 23LPA.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
