Finance is booming everywhere in the world, especially with the introduction of technology in this sector. Finance was my field of interest since my graduation days. So I was quite clear about the choice of course. The student-to-faculty ratio is quite well. All facilities are Ph.D. holders and most have corporate experience as well. All faculty members have their unique teaching methods. Several methods including the case method are used. Evaluation is done through 60 percent weightage to internals and 40 to end-term exams. 50 percent marks are required in both to clear the exam. Exams are conducted timely and are not very easy or difficult to pass. A good understanding of the subject is required to clear the exam.

I am satisfied with the faculty members and they were pretty good as per my expectations. I have been studying accountancy and finance since 11th standard so I have theoretical knowledge about financial concepts, through my MBA I wish to learn about its practical implications in the industry. That's the main reason why I joined this course. Exams here are a little difficult to pass as the criteria are 50% for every subject in the end-term exam.

This course was recommended by a lot of peers and my mentors. The faculty: student ratio is about 1:15 which is more than sufficient all the faculty is highly qualified with prior corporate experience and diplomas from premier institutions. The teaching methods may be a bit lacking but that can be said about any B-school as it accommodates a wide variety of students from different backgrounds. we have 3 semesters in a year and the exams are conducted timely. I won't say the exams are very difficult to clear. If the student devotes ample to study the course can be very interesting

Courses are designed in the cased study and Real life work experience among traditional teaching methods. The student-faculty is around 1:9 .Almost all the faculty are Ph.D. Holders or PersuingPh.DD. The courses designed are 6 equal trimester systems. The first year has 3 trimesters while 3 the next academic year. The grading system is based on 60% internal and 40% external where you need 50% in both to pass the subject.

One of my friends applied for PGDM Finance at LBSIM last year and was shortlisted for the interview round. Here are the questions that he had to answer during his interview.
There was a year gap after his graduation, so they asked what he did in that time period. He explained that he was self-employed. After the brief introduction, the following questions were asked.
To his surprise, he wasn’t asked the general questions like Why MBA? Strength and weakness, etc. Overall his experience was good and he was able to convert the call.
