Lbsim- A complete review

Likes

Record 100% placement with increase in avg package yearly
Expreienced faculty with deep knowledge of ther domain subject
A complete student driven institute where faculty only focuses on teaching students

Dislikes

Campus is not residential so metworking is difficult
Lack of sports inffrastructure and compact building
Batch size is increasing every year making it more crowded

Lbsim is much better than bimtech major difference is placememt avg package of lbsim is greater than bimtech. And the location iin which lbsim is situated is also good. Lbsim is known for finance so this influenced me to reject bimtech

LBSIM: Life Changing Experience for me.

Likes

Faculty is great. Frankly good experience. Teaching methods are nice. Curriculum you may compare with any top B school
Batch diversity is good. You can learn from your peers because everyone bring something new to learn.
Infrastructure is great. All tech stuff on point.

Dislikes

Not much Unstop culture. but they are improving it.
Small Campus, no residential campus so the typical "Hostel life" is missing.

Admission:

I was offered admission by Fore, Delhi, NMIMS Bangalore, Hyderabad, GLIM Gurgaon but I talked to people of different colleges on Linkedin. I found that LBSIM people were good at interactions and overall location, curriculum suited me the most. The admission process had a GD followed by PI. I was selected through CAT but selection through XAT is also availble. Cut off ranges from 72 percentile for RBA to 84 percentile for General. I had wailist at Fore, which got clear after the first round but the response of LBSIM's RBA was better than Fore's BDA

All about LBSIM

Likes

The first thing which about the Institute was the course of curriculum which the Institute provide for the student of all batch
second thing which I liked about the Institute was infrastructure. Which the Institute have.
Third thing which I like about the Institute is the availability of the Bloomberg lab, which is there in the Institute as it is not available in many Institutes in the country.

Dislikes

The first thing which I didn’t liked about the Institute was that the Institute was not providing a residential programme for PGDM
Second thing I didn’t liked about the Institute was the hostel facility was not there in the institute campus. It was outside the campus.
The third thing which I didn’t liked about the institute, was the hectic schedule, and no weekend given.

Admission:

I also applied for the Nirma University, Ahmedabad and I got admission from them, but when I got admission offer from LBSIM I rejected the application from Nirma University and applied for the course here because Nirma University's curriculum was old, and they were also not giving the international immersion opportunity to the student, which was given here.

Holistic overview of lbsim

Likes

I like the enviornment of my institute and their positive attitude towards the students in various fields like our college supports students in every feild like sports and competitions
Our institute have various resources to upgrading students like bloomberg terminal,analtiycs lab,a big library etc
The focus of our institute is not only academic progress but improve a student as a personality

Dislikes

Lower return on investment fees+hostel is nearly about 17 lakh and their average package is only 11lakh
Pgdm finance faculties was not that good
Hostel facilities provided by the institute was not upto the mark student struggles with quality of food

Admission:

Lbsim have strong tie ups with industry and their faculties were very good and also their location is in new delhi that gives us edge in placement other than the colleges that located in smaller cities. I face rejections but in some colleges i' am in the list but in term of placement location and fees structure i finalize the lbsim Candidates must score 50% in 10th 12th and in graduation with the good score in competitive exams like CAT XAT GMAT.

LBSIM- A good option for your management career.

Likes

The faculties are very experienced and knowledgeable.
They conduct several immersion programmes, which help students to gain leadership skills enhance their problem solving and analytical skills.
They maintain balance between studies and fun by conducting several events and competitions.

Dislikes

The total area of the college is too small.
The hostel is not inside the college. It is about two kilometres away from the college.

Admission:

I applied to and got admission offer in IMT, Hyderabad College for PGDM general programme. I didn't choose that college because they didn't have much reputation as compared to LBSIM, Because LBSIM is much older college than IMT, Hyderabad. Also the placements of IMT Hyderabad were a bit less than the LBSIM, that is why I chose LBSIM over IMT.

The faculty and the tech based systems that the college have. They have 14 terminald of Bloomberg Lab
Networking and learning opportunities that college provides

Dislikes

Rhe campus area is quite small. No sports facilities for outdoor sports except badminton

Admission:

The alumni base of LAL BHADUR SHASTRI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT is very big over 6500+. Helping you to build a network with them and to learn and grow. The companies visiting the institute for final placement are of tier1.

Schedule we have. No off even on sunday, and classes till late evening

Admission:

So the admission process was smooth and details were provided beforehand. Started with form filling then after selection gd was there after which pi and then within a month we got the result. All the information regarding the form and fees are available on the website (lbsim.ac.in). We have corporate seats for which are 3-4 lakhs higher then general fees but the percentile for this is less than the cut-off.

I have taken my CAT exam and got a score of 84.41 percentile. I decided to opt for LBSIM due to the institute having the best ROI as compared to other colleges of similar tiers. Shortlisting, followed by a GD and subsequent interview was the process.

LBSIM stands out with better ROI and Placement Opportunities

Likes

The internship and placement opportunities provided.
Peer learning with working in groups and sharing experiences.
The enjoyment at annual fest and other events.

Dislikes

Infrastructure can be made better with more facilities.
Some trimesters are very short and it becomes difficult to cover the entire syllabus.
Some faculties expect students to already know some concepts beforehand.

A good score in CAT or GMAT score and accordingly you could be shortlisted for the group discussion and personal interview rounds. Your admission is provided on the basis of a merit list that takes into account your GMAT or CAT score and your entire profile as a candidate.

Yes, as per the previous analysis of the cutoff, you can get the PGDM admission based on this CMAT percentile. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores, Prior Academic Performance, Work Experience, and other information mentioned in the application form. Shortlisted candidates will be then called for Group Discussion, Extempore/ Written Analysis Test, and Personal Interview. The Final selection of the candidates will be intimated to them personally as well would be published on the official website.
