Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is according to industry standards. Faculties over here have Ph.D. and few have industry experience as well and are up to date with the current trends and teach accordingly. We have a trimester system over here and have and after 1st year during summer, we have our 2 months of a summer internship. College provides with the internship.
Internships Opportunities
Majorly companies for sales profiles come but during an internship, one should not be very stringent to select, a finance person can go for sales as well. A few prominent companies are Asian Paints, EY, Deloitte, Britannia, Marsh, Capgemini, etc. It's a 2 months internship and after internship we have to give our summer internship presentation in front of faculties and junior batch. Where we have to show our 2 months work done and our learning
Placement Experience
From trimester 5 companies start coming. We have companies for every domain from Morgan Stanley to Asian Paints. Big 4 as well EY, KPMG, Deloitte. Few others like Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Britannia, Bain & Co. 100% placement is there.
Fees and Financial Aid
Education fees are around 11.67 lakhs + 3.5lakhs for a hostel which now has increased to 12.5 lakhs for education and 4 lakhs for a hostel. A hike of 5-10% in fees is expected. The scholarship is based on academics, sports, overall performance, and the EWS category. The average package is 10 LPA and the average stipend is around 40k pm. 100% placement is there. A diverse pool of companies comes every year and an increase in the number of companies and packages can be seen.
Campus Life
So MBA, in general, is a hectic course initial few months are gone in just trying to fit in the new environment with the number of assignments, daily readings before class and before exams the hustle of preparing presentations for every subject, and sleepless nights. Giving 2 to 3 exams in a day. The campus is small but the infrastructure is really good. There are around 14 clubs along with a management body, aluminum cell, and placement cell. The library is there with all the books required and a separate section having past year question papers for students to reference during exams for practice.
Hostel Facilities
We don't have a hostel on the campus it's a situation 2-3 km away but we have a bus service for the college which is included. The room is spacious and has all the basic requirements. Cleaning is done daily and food quality is good. For outstation students hostel is mandatory. Proper registration is maintained for the entry and exit of every student. One should go for the hostel as it's convenient and no such restrictions are there. Timings are also very flexible.
Admission
So the admission process was smooth and details were provided beforehand. Started with form filling then after selection gd was there after which pi and then within a month we got the result. All the information regarding the form and fees are available on the website (lbsim.ac.in). We have corporate seats for which are 3-4 lakhs higher then general fees but the percentile for this is less than the cut-off.
Interview Experience
We had GDs and an interview round. So for GD abstract topics is there something that is trending in news. There are different courses offered PGDM General has the highest cut off 80+ percentile is required for this course rest percentile varies from 70 to 80. I kept myself updated with the current news and general affairs and worked on keeping my opinions backed by logic and facts.
