The amazing faculty who are passionate about teaching and always willing to help
The huge range of scholarship opportunities available for university student ranging from partial scholarship cover tution fees only and living cost they also offers 1 lakh worth of scholorship every year
There are fests, annual prize distribution for academic ,sports performance there are also book fairs, all festivals like lohri and holi are celebrated by gathering of students in ground or auditorium

Dislikes

There is not much anything to dislike. Students can get problems due to timetable as sometimes we don't have a free lecture.
Unwanted charges before exams is one of the bad thing of college
Many parties do unfair activities to win. May be its just to enhance rhe knowledge and competitions skills but sometimes students do wrong things but as i said the students who arent well disciplined are rusticated from our college. Our college has g

College has a great environment! Students are very much interactive and from well to do families! There are students from different states and our college also has fraser valley for students going to abroad
College faculty is great! Teachers are very well educated and determined to there work
Each and every faculty teacher has there own way of teaching

Dislikes

Nothing much to dislike about the college its just the amount of fines they implement on students
Only the fines are sometimes high because of shortage of attendance and skipping your mid semester test

The best part is college gives chance to each and every students there are events been held in the college where you can take part there are also university events and college allows ecah and wvery student to be a part of it! College organizes fest and events for students for great experience

Likes

Teachers are the best and if needed they provide you seperate extra class
Library and study room are open the whole day
Close to nature environment makes you feel more energetic and help you study well

Dislikes

There is no air conditioning facility in classroom
Sometimes the online app doesn't work properly as students have to face issue

Placement Experience:

College has placed a seperate placement cell to help students get placement and every year the issue a notice for every to enroll whoever is interested placement cell let them know everything about the interview how to face this and get them placement on a good level

The faculty is very nice intelligent and helpful
The infrastructure is quite nice and the facilities are good too
The canteen food is very appreciatableww

Dislikes

The campus is very small and its hard to socialize
You cannot expect exposure here because of less crowd
The fees is a bit high for the course and the college lack ACs and cameras in classrooms

There are 2 semesters in a year so if tou want internship you can start anytime it depends on the skills you have and if you are persuing bcom hons the 4 year which is semster 7 and 8 are more of internships only

Deep dive into my college

Likes

the cafeterias in college campus and canteen
Library is the best place in college campus
Independence: many students appreciate the newfound independence

Dislikes

Some professors are just boring and irritating
most of students are abusing in front of every one
Large no. Of students in the classes. Just crowd crowd crowd!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. We are still giving timed tests in math facts ! I know that's traditional, but it just isn't as important.

Faculty .members are very supportive.everythjng they teach and consider important is like compulsary to be found in the final sem examinations . Teachers are very understanding towards the students. Infrastructure pf college is awesome.
Infrastructure is awesome of the ggdsd college.
Affordable price for best studies in chandigarh.

Dislikes

Attendence fine is quite high.you must have 75% attendence.
Semester examination fees is not included in the annual fee.

Placement Experience:

Placementships are awesome .bca students graduated from our college got jobs at big companies like google,etc. They got packages of 13 lakh per year. That,s why ggdsd is the no. 1 college of chandigarh.

It was purely my personal opinion about everything

So i really liked the improvement they made over the years for the betterment of students comfort like the sitting arrangement.
The teachers were absolutely amazing and helpful. I never felt unheard
The opportunities for extra curriculum are amazinggg.

Dislikes

The canteen food was limited as in the options and there was inly one canteen
During events there should be no classes.
The charge for the fine is quite higher than other colleges

Placement Experience:

So the students are eligible for the placements from the 5th sem onwards. Proper interviews and test are conducted. I feel there is less opportunities in the very field we are studying mainly the roles are those which we dont want.

infrastructure and education system etc..
The canteen food is fabulous and tasty and yes hygienic
events are conducted regularly and every student is allowed to participate

Dislikes

the fee structure as it is a little bit high
they take the examination fees separately
there is nothing i dislike about the college

Placement Experience:

from semester 5th the students and eligible fod the placements ..the companies which visit us are ICICI bank ,amazon,deloite etc.the highest paclkage is 8lakh and the average package is4 lakh.i want to start my own startup after degree

My Experience at SD college Chandigarh

Likes

The crowd is very nice comparative to other colleges.
Talents is appreciated here beside academic achievement.
Helps in Overall personal growth. Builds confidence .

Dislikes

The campus area is less. Evening classes and timetable issues for BA students.
No doubt hostel has all facilities but the fee is bit expensive

Placement Experience:

Placements are for 5th and 6th semester students. Delloite and ICICI bank are the top companies and many local companies also visit. Average package of 5 lakhs. Most of the students gets placed but many of them do not join because of further higher studies.

College overall is a little small in area
Food in canteen is not that great but not bad also
In fines and everything they charge you a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose psychology and economics as my main subjects and the syllabus it teaches us will help us in future banking exams or CUET exams . The practical aspect is a little less. Because they don't offer you much internships but overall studying is good . Teaching methods are good as everyone has different approaches, but they can surely include some practical exposure. The exams are at the right time, and they're of moderate level , not too difficult or too easy.

Educator are good and supportive as have seen them the really work hard for the students

Dislikes

College Ground not maintained properly no lack of grass
Whenever it rains in the college campuses ther is always water which stays until sun dries it due to which mosquito occurs
Seeling and fand and projector are not been fixed according to the requirement there are no curtains in the classroom if their is projector in the class

Maximum no of student opt for BA only as some have plans for gov job other have family problem due to which max no opt for this course but the class timings and the time table must be changed and option for the section change must be there so that everyone can attend the classes accordingly
