Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, popularly known as YCCE was established in 1984. It is a private institute, located in Pune, Maharashtra. The college has been ranked 126th by IIRF and (151-200) by IIRF in 2024 under the engineering category.

YCCE Admissions 2025

YCCE Nagpur admission to the B.Tech program is based on the scores obtained by the candidates on MHT-CET or JEE Mains & counselling conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. On the other hand, the selection of candidates for M.Tech admission is done based on GATE scores. 80% of the seats for admission to BTech through regular-entry, MTech, and MBA courses are filled through the CAP Round of DTE and the rest 20% are filled by the Institute Level Quota. However, the selection criteria remains the same for both the quotas.

How to Apply?

To apply to any course in the college through CAP, follow the steps provided below:
Register at the DTE website, for admission against both CAP and ILA seats.
After online registration, take a printout of application form
Appear for confirmation of application form and verification of documents by visiting any one of the designated Facilitation Centers (FC).
Candidates will get acknowledgement from FC to take part in the remaining admission process as per the merit list published on the DTE website.
Pay the registration fees through online mode

Likes

YCCE has huge, beautiful green Campus with great futuristic Infrastructure. Also the placement is good.
Campus has 3 canteens, auditorium, conference rooms, great labs and classrooms having capacity of 60 to 70 people
Faculty is great, helpful. All of them are great at there respective subject. Most of them are with phd and experience of average 4 to 15 years.

Dislikes

YCCE has more theoretical curriculum which sometimes gets overwhelming. They should make it more practical.
There fees structure is just not suitable for middle class people.
They don't provide relevant knowledge which will lead to make the student future career ready.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

For general category they have 120000 fees per year and for OBC, 600000 per year. They have policy of increasing the fees by 5 % each year. Complete cost for OBC student would be 500000 including stay. Student can opt for scolarship or other seats such as TFWS which reduces tution fees. In campus placement the normally role offered is junior software engineer or trainee or in core companies it is junior engineer. With the average salary of 4lpa

Top companies providing internship

Mostly the company in which you got placed gives the internship otherwise YCCE do provide internship in your respective core branch. I have done internship in SAP MM module in Capgemini, Where they given practical training of SAP and Technologies.

Top company recruiting from the camps and highest package

In 7th semester, placement process starts. To get eligible for placemen, one should not have any backlocgs. Companies like Capgemini, Accenture, Mahindra, TCS, Infosys any many more 100 companies visit every year. Highest package is 20lap and average is 4 lpa. I am 2023 passout and currently working in Capgemini as an jr. Analyst.

Student view on course curriculum

I was in Electronics and Telecommunications branch which deals with integration of both software and hardware for telecommunication and network aspect and I was passionate about that. YCCE has curriculum less practical but yes there content of course is good and also you get access to the huge liabrary.

Annual fest and great infrastructure of the campus

College life was great if I think of annual gathering 'Yash', semester wise tech and fun events, ongoing clubs and competitions. The liabrary was huge and had great ambience. Classrooms has 60 to 70 people capacity with digital boards. Campus has playgrounds. and ongoing sport events.

Skilled and helpful faculty in the college

YCCE has great faculty from first year to final year. All the teachers are well in there respective subjects. Most of them have with phd. and experiences on an average 4 to 15 years. All of them are helpfull. Teachers follow given curriculum which they need to complete in respective time. Classroom sessions are very interactive. Students can ask any question any time.

Admission process and eligibilty

Eligibility is on your CET score, with above 50 pointer you could easily get admission in YCCE. In caprounds only you can do the process. If you have reserved catogary then you can have benefits of less tution fees. There are semester exams and 2 term exams each semester.

This college offers a well-structured curriculum with a strong emphasis on practical learning, research opportunities, and industry exposure. While others college also has a good academic reputation, I found that this college provides more flexibility in choosing electives and specialization. The infrastructure at my college is modern, with well-equipped labs, libraries, and recreational facilities. On the other hand, other college had a relatively smaller campus with fewer amenities. The overall environment at my college felt more vibrant and conducive to both academic and extracurricular growth.

Things I like about my college is the infrastructure it has. My college is also known as green college because it has so much greenery. Also if i talk about education then it has well qualified staff who teaches very vell.
The food of the canteen is also very good and tasty . Our college has 2 canteens both are very good. The college provides so many opportunities to students to showcase their talents.

Dislikes

Things I dont like about my college is the dress code . Who wears jeans in college. My college dress code is very bad in entire nagpur.

Admission:

i chose this college over others primarily because of its strong electrical engineering department ,well -equipped labs and industry collaborations,which provide good exposure to students.Also this college was better than rest of the colleges present in nagpur.

Likes

The college has various events in which we can participate throughout the year.
Girls to Boys ratio is very good hence there is equality

Dislikes

Wifi is very limited but they have been increasing the coverage throughtout the campus.

Admission:

This college was near my home city Amravati and I wanted to stay near my parents as my dad is handicapped hence i chose ycce over other colleges, the fee structure is quite high for someone like me but it was good enough. You require score of either JEE/CET to crack this college.

Life at YCCE.

Likes

The exposure to various industries is quite great as there are multiple industrial visits throughout 4 years of engineering and many industrial experts are called for conducting seminars.

Dislikes

Dedicated lectures for sports and extra activities for be provided as student participating in events have to compromise on theirs lunch breaks or has to stay back after college hours.
There's a need for construction of more classroom and buildings as the college have expanded the field for admission over existing infrastructure, students are more as compared to available infrastructure.

Admission:

YCCE is among the best colleges at Nagpur the placement record is quite well and has earned a great reputation over the years. Choosing YCCE over other colleges over Nagpur for me was due to multiple reasons it has a close proximity to my residence, other than that YCCE is among top colleges of Nagpur with the highest placement record this year. I have gotten in contact with faculty members of different colleges as well and the praised YCCE over their own college that means that this college holds a reputation.

It is said to be one of the best colleges in Nagpur.
Campus has a lot of clubs and events to participate.

Dislikes

The ratio of boys and girls is somewhere like 3:1.

Admission:

I wanted to go into VNIT. And I scored fine in my JEE Mains. But was below 75% in Boards. If not that, I might've made it to VNIT. I didn't know I could make it to YCCE so I was thinking of going into Pallotti. But then I I was able to get YCCE in a branch of my choice so I took admission here.

Candidates interested in taking admissions to any course need to follow the given steps to make an application:

All eligible should register at DTE website compulsorily, for admission against both CAP and ILA seats.
After online registration candidate should take printout of application form and appear for confirmation of application form and document verification by visiting any one of the designated Facilitation Centers (FC).
Thereafter, candidates must get acknowledgement from FC to participate in the remaining admission process as per the merit list published on the DTE, website.
