A journey at SGGS

Likes

The college campus is good to explore and hang out.
Clubs are good to explore our talent and have a fun.
College Life is good and chherful , many things to enjoy.

Dislikes

Strict rules and regulations for girls and boys.
Poor placement record over the years in core sector.
A lot of politics involved in many aspects.

Placement Experience:

At 7th semester students are eligible for the placements . Companies visiting are mostly of alumni connect and also of students passed out from the same institiute . Placements are good for IT sector and very less opportunities for core sector . Instrumentation and textile are the branches which get a good placement in core sector.

Clubs and over all campus is good, faulties are pretty decent.
Infrastructure and facilites are top notch.

Crowd of college, area of college is pathetic
Placements is below average , college entirely depends on mass recruiters for placement

A pretty straightforward answer is , I wanted to get in to IT but did not have the right score for it in cet exam so I opted for this branch , but later I found this branch better than IT because of the faculties of this institute.

Likes

Campus is very huge and neat and we'll maintained.
Sports facilities are available in the college campus
All the departments have good labs with well instruments.

Dislikes

There are very restrictions to the students.
Hostel fees is very high and mess food is also not good.
Security guards are from local village so they are arrogant.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for the campus from the 7th sem. To date there are 16 students have received an offer from two big companies namely Emerson and Honeywell. The average package is about 6lpa. Every year almost 90% of students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and curriculum are perfect for this branch. Most of the senior faculties are PhD holders from IITs. There is a 40-60 pattern for examinations. 30 marks mid term and 50 marks at the end term rest 20 20 marks are internal.

From 6-7th sem, students can apply to the placement. The placement is good and the package is also good. 70-80% of students can get placement from college. After my degree, I am going to pursue an MBA from a well-reputed college.
