A journey at SGGS

I wantes CS but I got EnTc . The faculty and lab facilities are very good at SGGS. They are friendly and ready to help students. The labs are equipped with all the required facilities. The only problem lies is there are very less job opportunities in core Electronics field. One has to pursue Higher education.

At 7th semester students are eligible for the placements . Companies visiting are mostly of alumni connect and also of students passed out from the same institiute . Placements are good for IT sector and very less opportunities for core sector . Instrumentation and textile are the branches which get a good placement in core sector.

Fees are considerably less as it is a Government college and also for category students reservation is there . One can easily afford the fees. Maharashtra state government scholarship is applicable for the students.

Libraries and lab facilities are good in the campus. Sports facilities are some what good but lack a lot in infrastucture. Technical clubs have good backing from institute. Annual fest are just common and nothing new or creative happens. Ther is very less support for cultural clubs by the faculties and the Dean

Hostels are very good. They have all the facilities and also separate bathrooms and washrooms for every room for SY, TY and final year students. For first-year students, the hostel is old and has common washrooms. But the intake of the hostel is very less ,and many students live at PG or hostels outside

I had applied through MHT-CET exam and the cutoff was varied for all the branches . For EnTc it was nearly 87 percentile. I had the benefit of resevatio of OBC category due to which I got scholarship for the tuition fees. For other hostel and other stuff the fees was full.
