Amazing

Likes

This college has a supportive environment by seniors, professors.
The Alumini Network of this college is very strong.
The Campus is very green and clean and surrounded with many trees.

Dislikes

It has some lack of facilities like not having a gym for boys.
The Library of this college ipens at 9 am and closes at 5 pm which is very worst thing that i dislike.
This college does not organises fests like other colleges.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario of my college Birsa Institute of Technology(BIT), Sindri is not that much high but its average. But its very good compared to east side nit (lower nit). Its average package is 10 lakh per annum. Many apply for off campus andd has got many good offers like 45 lpa, 36 lpa..

Honest Insights of the College

Likes

Location is quite good noise free and large campus.
All teachers are good and highly qualified.
New hostels are built for our upcoming freshers.

Dislikes

There are some areas need to be cleaned like trees everywhere isn't that good😅
Faculties are good but we can't meet them personally outside until it's any event ongoing.
New hostels are built but some of the old hostels need some renovations.

Placement Experience:

First of all the placements are impressive. In technical branches the average salary is 6LPA and the highest package is about 65LPA (off campus ).One thing I want to say the core branches also have awesome placements here .

BIT Sindri : Review

Likes

Being such an old institution it is even older than many IITs due to which it has a vast alumni connection with it's alumni working in various major companies throughout the world. The campus life is also interesting new hostels are also being made.
The placement scenario is also amazing. BIT Sindri is one among the few colleges nowadays where even the core branches get handsome packages. The circuital branches have various on campus opportunities to explore and the course curriculum is strict.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is quite old. The campus lacks modern architecture and all the buildings seems to be made in the late 90's. Although new hostels and departments are being made but the old building need renovation.
The number of faculties are also less. The number of professors in each branch is not up to the requirement. Due to which we often have merge with other branches for lectures. The lab equipments present are also not updated with present time.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario of BIT Sindri is good it is one of the few colleges where even the core branches get good placements the students become eligible for placments by their 6th semester. The companies coming for core are Vedanta, Tata Steel ,JSW steel , JSL , JSPl and many more. The average packages offered by Vedanta and Tata Steel is around 13 Lpa and around 6-8 lpa for JSW and remaining companies. For the circuital branches like CSE/IT and ECE a lot of companies come for placements like Samsung, Amazon , TCS Prime, Yamaha ,Hitachi etc. The average packages offered by these companies range from 10 to 16 lpa where as DE Shaw offers the highest pacakge that is around 50 lpa. This was the highest pacakge of the year 2023. The percentage of students getting placed is also greater than 90% in most of the cases. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good placment at MAANGs.

The campus is very silent and nature friendly.
The friend circle you get is very nice and supportive.
The faculty members are very supportive in nature.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs to be renovated.
The campus needs more lighting and cleanliness.
More fests and events should be conducted.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester student become eligible for campus placements. There are various companies that visit the campus. Companies like Vedanta , ABG , JSW , JSPL , Deloitte , TCS visit here and hire students in bulk. About 80-90% of students gets placed here. I am going to work in an IT company after getting the degree.

Campus Life : Hostel Life is good and environment is greenery which gives nice feeling.
Course is also good not too much load of course subjects there is time in which you can prepare for GATE and CAT Exams.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not good. Also electricity is not good.
Official works takes lots of time and quite hectic.

From 3rd year onwards students become eligible for campus placements. About 100 companies visit the college including Tech and Non-Tech companies like DE Shaw, SAMSUNG, YAMAHA, TCS, TATA STEEL, VEDANTA, L&T, ITC, UNACADEMY, DELOITTE, JSW, ABG, SHREE CEMENT, ADANI and many more. About 2-3 offers made per student. Highest package is about 15-16 LPA. Average package is about 5-6 LPA. About 90-95% students get placed every year. If placement is good then continue in the company else plans for higher studies.

I liked the central library of our college.
I like the environment of my college . there are more than 450 acre of land mass
there is no ragging in our college. seniors are too supportive.

Dislikes

there are less girls boys ratio here in our campous.

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.

The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.

The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
