Faculty - the teachers are very good and friendly and teach very nicely
Svmcm scholarship , student credit card facility is available here .
Placement of our college is verry good . many mncs are came and they offers us a good salary pacakage .

Dislikes

The fees structure is very bad and they hike fees before any annoucement with 50% increament and all students were shocked and suffer a lot with this.few scholarshipfinancial assistance & job also provided.
No grounds, not even good indoor sports. there is no culture for sports.
In past pass is not hard but now from 2024 pass is not a easy process.

Know everything about B.P Poddar college

Likes

I liked the extra curricular activities and opportunities one get to enhance their abilities and know their skills. One could get hands on experience on many new things and be confident and socially active.
I liked the networking and placements percentage with a company relations. We get many opportunities for internships and many new things to learn from Google ,coding ningas in mid courses.we have many webinars and seminar with the companies and etc.
I liked the supportive environment of college with very helpful teachers, faculty members and other staffs .They provide a lot of guidance and helping hands.

Dislikes

It doesn't have a campus and advanced infrastructure.
It doesn't have playground of its own and other activities area.
It doesn't provide placements to Mtech students .

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year,students are capable of college placements and internships.the companies that visit the college are CTC (with highest placement), Accenture ,Wipro etc.the average package in college is 3.5 lakh per year with highest package 15 lakh per year.The percentage of students get placement is 80-85%. So one could get nice knowledge and opportunities by this degree

Placement Experience:

Placement of students start in the seventh semester first round is the aptitude round then group discussion. , coding , technical , HR round . Percentage of students Getting placement is 80-85 Percent

Campus of the college I don't like it anyway
Some assignmensts and many more thing yes.
Location of the college too much expensive

Placement Experience:

Our college is very much aware for the placements. Our placement head professors regulary tell us to prepare for placements like do problem solving, aptitude test, maintains some skills and all. Yes thats it.

The facilities of every department are very good.
The facilities provided are also very nice.
All the teachers are always available to clear our doubts.

Dislikes

The college campus is a little small in area.
Canteen food is also not st a top notch level.
Rest everything is fine in the college...

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course which i sm studying is very nice andhard also. As everyone kniws engineering is not easy. The trachers are too good, they just make the subject more interesting. The curriculum of the course totally prepares us for the real world.

Review on college life

Likes

Academics is really good in the college and placement is also good
Fests also take place , cultural as well as technical where students can participate and can learn a lot.
There are different forums and clubs where students can enter and live a nice college life

Dislikes

There are too many subjects to study and there are some subjects that are of no use
The cultural fest takes place after every two years so we can experience it only once in our college life.
Some subjects that should be part of the main course are not there.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after sixth semester and can do as many internships as they want during their four years of college life. Several types of internships suggestions are provided by the college itself and in campus placements , companies like PWC , Accenture ,cognizant do come.The percentage of students getting placed is good as a year before it was almost 90% and even this year it is still going good .I am trying to get placed in the college placements and then after some years go for higher degrees.

I liked the little lineance which the teachers show when it comes to attendance .
The attitude of the working staff is very positive.
The techers address the problems as much as they can.

Dislikes

The infrastructure here is very disappointing .
There are no fests held every year in the college.
The college should improve thier quality of computers in labs.

Placement Experience:

The college brings companies for hiring , however due to recession the placement has suffered . However the college manages pretty good placements . This year approximately 50 percent of the people were placed .

The year on year placements record is pretty good.
Most of the faculties are very helpful & updated.
Senior-Junior bonding is amazing, as it is a complete ragging-free campus

Dislikes

The campus is very very small, but nothing to complain as it is situated in one of the posh areas of Kolkata (near airport)
Compulsory uniform sucks, specially in the summers.
Co-curricular activities are not heavily supported.

Placement Experience:

The placements are pretty above market standards I would say. It brings not only mass recruiters like cognizant(4lpa),Accenture(4.5lpa), etc. but also comparatively better companies like EY(6.5lpa), PwC(7.45lpa),etc.

About my College.

Likes

Support from the faculties regarding studies and extra curricular activities
Arrangement of sports, seminar, workshops.

Dislikes

Basically Campus Life because it is small.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is moderate. In particular, the amount of internal exams in 6 month semester is too much. But the facilities are very supportive and they help us to take any decision and also help with all types of doubts regarding studies.

The Reality from a Insider

Likes

I love the food offered in the canteen at a lower price
I like the teacher as they are very friendly, they are always there to help
I love the library as they have all the books required to get upto the level technically

Dislikes

The campus is very small, i mean there are three buildings in total
As it is Very far from the city, i have to spend a good amount of money and time to be there
During rainy season water gets logged upto knees creating a lot of problems

Placement Experience:

From the the seventh semester students become eligible for placements. They're are various companies visiting like pwc, Infosys, accenture and many others, the average package is 4 lpa but based on your quality you can go upto 10 , 12 lpa

Environment - the environment is very good it is very friendly and very rich coding culture
Fees- the fees is very less compared to other private colleges in Kolkata

Dislikes

Campus - the campus is very small and campus life is non existent
Fest - their is only 1 fest in 4 years but tech fest is annually
Placements - I mean it can better than it is now

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year you are eligible to sit in placements, a quite a few companies visit the college for campus, the highest package was 12 lakhs and the average package was 5.5 lakhs and all are in campus data
