BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with the placements from this college. Placements are given in the last year only. I remember Amazon had visited but for process jobs only. The highest package that i know is 3LPA. Only 20 to 30 percentage students were placed that too only in BPO jobs. My plans is to crack a good off campus core job in a good company.

The branch i choose is trending and market required and curriculum is almost on that so it good decent have have some fault like exssive of theory paper and theory knowledge less prepared for real life problems. I would like to suggest reduce some unnecessary theory thing and put some market based things practical thing that help in real life . Frequency of exams is good not so fast and not so slow it is decent .

The course is good. The semester exam of this college was very difficult. The passing criteria for exam is minimum 40 percentage. The campus of this college is too small it needs to improvement. Oberall the academic of this college is good

The placements are average in the college. From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements. About 60% students get placed in the college. The average package of our college is 3-4 lakhs per annum and the highest package last year was around 13 lakhs per annum. I will choose to do M.tech after passing out of the college.

From 5th sem student starts to get internship and from 6th sem students start sitting in college placement, many companies visit our campus during placement and also faculty members help us. You can also take off campus placement also

I am in first year so I don't know much more but yes placement is good but not so much according to me you have to be very skilled person and understand the sequence of company questions learn aptitude

The placement cell of this college is good enough.They prepare you for placement interviews in many ways. The college gives good placements to the CSE and IT students but the placement ratio of the other branches are not good enough. I heard that 30 students are selected in Accenture Company.

The placement of this college has been good in recent years. Many companies have visited our college Like Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant (Which are our main recruiters), Byjus, and Amazon. In 2023 the highest placement in our college was 11Lpa who got another 4 offer letter

In my college, they provide about 90% placement. The student becomes eligible for placements after 6th semester or at the start of 7th semester. The companies that visited the campus during my time were Cognizant, Edifixio, Johnson Controls, etc o name a few. The highest package offered was 5 LPA and the average package offered was 3.30 LPA. Approximately about 80% students got placed in that year and I had plans to sit for the government exams after my B.Tech.

From 6th Semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Generally 2 mass recruiters(Cognizant, Infosys) come and recruit 180-200 students. Other companies like EY and Kriti technologies took some(3-4 from other depts) Highest package 9 lpa, average 4.5 lpa In normal years 75-78% students generally got placement till date. I got placed after getting degree.
