Course Curriculum Overview

Specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose this course is that it is very interesting as well as we can get ourselves in to research fields as well as learn new things . This course is tough though

Placement of students start in the seventh semester first round is the aptitude round then group discussion. , coding , technical , HR round . Percentage of students Getting placement is 80-85 Percent

Fees and Financial Aid

The college do not provide any kind of scholarship but one can apply for national portal scholarship it is a central level scholarship and one can also apply for Swami Vivekananda scholarship which is a state level scholarship

Campus Life

There are different forums in our college , tech forum, robotics, orator's forum, sports, performing arts as well as visual arts . In our college cultural fest takes. Place in every 3 years and tech fest happens every year.

Admission

For the admission we have to give two entrance exam first is WBJEE and second is JEE MAINE . First of all councelling will be done on the basis of WBJEE and then on the basis of JEE MAINS . Direct admission are also available . Application forms are available in Google and form the college website we can get other information as well. WBJEE consists of two papers maths and. Phy chem as combined one duration of the exams is 2 hours and the difficulty level is moderate to tough

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.

Honest Review of a UEM New Town Student

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.

I have not yet reached the placement time because i am a fresher. But more than 1000 offers are made to students and placements are pretty good as i got to know from my seniors. The highest package from chemical branch was 75 lacs last year.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year.
