College with nice pleasant atmosphere and academics but no placements

Likes

The facility is very friendly and supporting
The college campus is huge and very pleasant
The college management is not very strict

Dislikes

The facility will only guide you for your studies
There are only a few extra curricular activities
There is very few sports and games conducted

Placement Experience:

The companies that give campus placement are all marketing or call centre jobs. There are very few relevant companies that come to our college for placements. Most of the students apply for off campus placements. That is the most relevant way to get good placements.

It's a decent college

Likes

Natural environment and greenery of the campus
Friendly and helpful faculties and staffs
Peaceful and calm environment inside the campus

Dislikes

Facilities could be better and infrastructure is poor
Lack of technical and non technical fests and programs
Location of the collage makes it harder to access

Placement Experience:

On campus placements are okay. Most final year students with decent cgpa will be placed with an average package of 2 lpa . No big companies hold placement in our campus. There is option to get off campus placements and they do provide coaching for placement

Engineering at ASET

Likes

The campus is filled with greenery so I like the fresh air and atmosphere.
I like how most of the faculty are young and get along with students.
The infrastructure is good and necessary equipment are present.

Dislikes

In engineering there are more boys than girls
No phones allowed to use during classroom
The journey to college is bit time consuming as the college is inside a big campus

Placement Experience:

There are placements in our college. All the placements are not directly from our college. The placement officer will provide us details of walk in interviews and other details necessary to get the students maximum placement opportunities. If you have good marks there is a good chance of you getting placed. Not sure of the packages , but I think it's around 3-5 lpa. It can go upto 6 lpa i think.

Engineering life at ahalia

Likes

They focus both academics and promote extra curricular activities
Teachers are quite good in teaching with their good interaction with students

Dislikes

Lack of public transport we should on always use college bus
Students parking area is poor so that can improved maybe it will be improve in coming days

Placement Experience:

Placements in this college is average as compared to other colleges company they come for campus selection like tcs , infosys , sperdian etc.In my point of view staffs help to get placement with their 100% assistance we can get good guidance for off campus selection also if you have a good skills and logical thinking so can get placement in the college

In all subjects we need improvement on studies and need to prepare from outside courses .For improving in the current industry and to get job you need to prepare by ourselves , the teachers can only help if you ask for the help

About ASET

Likes

The teachers are very interactive with students.
The campus life was better and great for better social interaction
The ahalia campus is beautifull and big.

Dislikes

College provides only less placement drives
The food on the canteen is over priced and taste is average
The campus is located about 5km far from town/Highway

Placement Experience:

The college provides placement from 7th semester onwards. But they provide less placement compared to other colleges. And only few good companies comming for placement. UST global, Speridian, iwave, mitsogo are the few companies where students get placed. The highest package is 4.8LPA and average package is 3-4LPA. Only 10% students are getting placed in in-campus placement.

College life

Likes

Good atmosphere of the college and friendly teachers.

Dislikes

Less programs like culture fest, art fest etc.

Placement Experience:

Since 7th semester, students are eligible for placement. The companies visited were UST Global, Mitsogo, 6D technologies, Speridian, Qspiders, Datapy, Kodnest in computer science department. On campus placements were these mentioned.

Life at ahalia for a btech student

Likes

Campus life is great, the ambience there makes us wanna come to college.
Ahalia is very vast..we can go to canteens of different colleges inside ahalia.. variety of food are there.Sonif u are a foodie. It's a good option
Teachers are friendly, especially cse department they make us feel comfortable to share all our problem without feeling bad .But now I think those staffs no longer continue there,I don't know now.

Dislikes

Transport service inside ahalia is bit less, as ahalia being vast, there are no auto , but yeah there are electric vehicles of ahalia which is on the run during a certain times
One of the major drawback is,there is no placement training . I have heard from other colleges that they hav grooming session and from 2nd year itself they train for placements.Here there was nothing like that , directly interview.and no one gets in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching method is good there are a few teachers that properly teach, other than them mostly they just read and go through the syllabus. Most of the work is done by students only. But they have always supported us if we need any notes or anything they will always support us and give us whatever we need. The only drawback is that they don't put the effort in teaching or else maybe it's just my grasping power is low I don't know.

4 Years at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology Palakkad - My Experience

Likes

The staffs are friendly with the students.
The mentorship and guidance of the staff is very much encouraging.
The campus infrastructure is very much eco friendly and there is a lot to explore in the campus.

Dislikes

Lack of support for extra curricular activities.
The number of non technical events held are very less.
Interaction with a wider range of students is not possible as most of the students are from the same district.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum and syllabus of the university with respect to Compiter Science Engineering is good. Along with the core subjects, the university also lays emphasis on training students in preparing for the professional environment.

The better option among private colleges inside palakkad

Likes

The fee structure was quite affordable. The scholarships provided to the students was also commendable.
The college is situated in a beautiful green campus. There are lots of spots to explore within it.

Dislikes

The entire campus is remotely located. It is quite inaccessible and transportation facility is limited.
No cultural life. IEDC and IEEE do exist but most of the time they dont conduct any events. NSS is pretty active.
The placements are very poor. No training or support is given to empower the students to meet the industry standards. Most of the students understand the basics of placements in their final year only. The students get placed mostly from off campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum provided by the university. The college completely follows the sylabus of the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Since the curriculum depends on the university, no remarks can be made on the college. The 2019 scheme was pretty outdated syllabus. It does not empower students to meet the industry standards. There are some subjects which was not at all useful.
