What Students Say

Likes

The fee structure was quite affordable. The scholarships provided to the students was also commendable.
The college is situated in a beautiful green campus. There are lots of spots to explore within it.

Dislikes

The entire campus is remotely located. It is quite inaccessible and transportation facility is limited.
No cultural life. IEDC and IEEE do exist but most of the time they dont conduct any events. NSS is pretty active.
The placements are very poor. No training or support is given to empower the students to meet the industry standards. Most of the students understand the basics of placements in their final year only. The students get placed mostly from off campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum provided by the university. The college completely follows the sylabus of the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Since the curriculum depends on the university, no remarks can be made on the college. The 2019 scheme was pretty outdated syllabus. It does not empower students to meet the industry standards. There are some subjects which was not at all useful.

Class Size: 54Course Fees: INR 65000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The Yearly Fee structure for the 2020-24 Batch was 50,000 rupees. Caution Deposit was 10,000. Apart from Computer Science Engineering, all the other courses will provide scholarship to students on the basis of the 12th std percentage. If a student has above 90% in 12th standard he/she can avail 100% scholarship on the complete course. The scholarship will get cancelled if the student fails in any subject for the university exam.

Campus Life

Being a 2020-2024 student, I had to spend my 1st year college indoors at home due to the pandemic. From the second year onwards classes were offline. There was only one arts day and one tech fest for 4 years. There are no clubs inside ASET. Even if there was one it wouldn't have much interactions.

Admission

Due to personal circumstances, I joined this college. The admission process is as same as that of any private college that comes under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. There is also a seat booking facility.

Faculty

3.5

Every department have 5-9 faculty members including the Head of Departments. Most of the faculty don't care about innovation and latest technology. They are only focussed on academics. However on a personal level most of the faculty members are very friendly and quite chill. They do complete the curriculum on time and does provide adequate internal marks too as long as they don't have any personal vengeance with the student.

the course , the first year its easy syllabus , its just basics based on what you learned in high school , but in a more advanced way. the only flaw in the curriculm is the lack of application level questions all the exams are just theory based questions

Students typically become eligible for campus placements after the 6th semester .however the placement team encourages students to start preparing from the second year onwards by improving skills and participating in internships ,hackathons and coding competitions to improve their profiles Companies that visited for placements. 1. Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull
