This year our college has taken an increased pg load which has made the hospital overcrowded with less opportunity to the pgs. Same goes with the ug's as the load has increased to 250 students per batch which makes each patient crowded with around 10-15 students examining them and making them uncomfortable.
There are many good teachers such Dr samapangi Raju from surgery, who always makes time and effort to teach us. Dr Ashwini Nayak U mam from Obgyn who encourages students to do research projects and guides them. Dr Shruthi Shetty from Community Medicine who guides all students in any aspect of medicine. And our Assistant registrar madam Dr sneha from dermatology, who encourages us to participate in extra curriculars .
We have 3-5 internals in every subject. Minimum of 5 Formative assessments. Clinical postings exams every 20 days and many assignments along with skit projects and other project works.
Usually around 30-50 students fail every year in a batch of 250.
The teaching and the learning environment is very good and the faculty are quite approachable for doubts and for extracurricular activities and they will support you in all aspects possible
The exams are quite doable compared to the medical school syllabus and they are equally easy and hard at the same time
