The college offers a detailed and structured course with a favorable faculty-student ratio of 2:30 to 2:40, ensuring personalized attention. The academic program includes 4 final exams and 3 internal exams each year, known for their rigorous nature. The teaching staff is a mix of experienced and younger professionals, supported by qualified clinical staff for practical training. Recent leadership changes have positively impacted the educational environment. A mandatory six-month internship at an affiliated multi-specialty and super-specialty hospital provides vital practical experience, although it is unpaid and offers limited sick leave.

Students must complete and submit a project in the final year. As of October 2018, the annual tuition fee was approximately 50,000 INR, with non-Karnataka students paying an extra hostel fee of 70,000 INR. An initial donation of 100,000 INR and registration fees of around 10,000 INR were also required. Scholarship opportunities were available, leading to different fee structures for students.
