Admission to the college is based on the NEET merit list and state counseling, with a single quota available for each northeastern state under the UR category. After an unsuccessful attempt to secure an MBBS seat, the student chose to pursue a BASLP degree. The college has a limited number of faculty members and a need for more diverse faculty from outside the local region. Practical sessions also need improvement, and there is a shortage of instruments.
The total annual fee is 6,500, covering hostel, magazine, sports, and tuition fees, while the admission fee is 11,500. Exam fees are separate, costing 3,500 each time an exam is taken. The college provides job opportunities in government hospitals and offers internships to students. During their studies, students receive a monthly stipend of Rs 800, which increases to Rs 3000 during the internship. However, this stipend is considered low compared to other courses offered by the college, and there is a suggestion to increase the internship salary.
Although the college provides numerous scholarship schemes for various categories of students, there are no scholarships available for general category students without an income bar on their family's financial situation.
