The Best Medical College of Odisha

Likes

Academic is excellent. We have 4 lecture theatre. Each have 300 capacity . Very Big library with seating capacity for 1000 students. Different room for PG ,UG , faculties.
Highly qualified professors are there. Attendance are very strict. You need 75% attendance in theory class and 90% attendance in practical class.
College have huge auditorium of 2000 capacity. annual fest done there. Very good and beautiful campus and 2 annual fest occur every year

Dislikes

Due to big campus hostel is 1km from college academic block. So you need Scotty/bike.
Only two 24 *7 canteen are there. I think the number should be more
Out side of campus is very crowded area.

Placement Experience:

Every one get compulsory internship for 1yr with 43000? / month stipend. Followed by every Graduate have to serve 2yr bond for State government. (Pay is around 60000-80000 / month depending on location) Almost 100% students get placement.

Environment of the campus is neat and clean
Proper water and electric supply to each and every hostel
Good clinical exposure can be get as it is a major medical College of South odisha

Internships Opportunities:

Internship will be provided to every medical students who have passed final yr exam Different departments are allotted to respective groups in the batch It lasts for 1 yr Interns getting 40k per month Well organised system for the interns Accomodation for the house surgeon in each department is well placed

Likes

The nearby of hospital near to hostel and college
Playground being a big one opportunity for playing.
Indoor stadium and nearby of all hostels girls and boys

Dislikes

Security of college premises not that good.
Certain facilities being not in position.
Open campus of college becomes harmful for students.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is for one year in different departments. Medicine pediatrics for 3months surgery for 3months including radiology ent ophthalmology. Stipend given is being 41000/-. Obstetrics and gynecology is of 3 months.

Medico Life at MKCG Medical College, Odisha

Likes

Class room, practical laboratories and auditorium facilites.
Regular organisation of events by the students union.
Hostel facilities, mess facilities and food quality

Dislikes

Cleanliness could be better maintained in the campus
No night Library or night canteen is present.
Distance between hostels and academic building of the college is more.

Internships Opportunities:

Well since this is a medical College there is no concept of placements here. After 1 year of internship, you are graduated and then you can attempt the PG entrance examination if you want to pursue higher studies or you can give the OPSC examinations to apply for state government job as a junior resident doctor. You can also apply at private hospitals for job.

MBBS pros and cons

Likes

I liked the location of our college and it’s environment
I liked the events and fests that takes place in our college
I also liked the environment in the hostel

Dislikes

The course is very hectic . We have to dedicate many hours for studying
During exams everyone is depressed about passing
There is not much life outside the college

Internships Opportunities:

As an MBBS student after graduation, we have to do 1 year of paid internship in our own college. Then there are opportunities for higher studies by giving entrance exams. Also, we can join any hospital after an internship to earn money.

My Med College, My Pride !!

The experienced faculty and the way of teaching.
The amazing college life, full of extra-curricular activities and fests.
The location of the college. Everything is available nearby

Dislikes

Hostel accommodation could have been improved
The mess food can be improved and more food items could have been included

Internships Opportunities:

After completing the 4.5 years of study, one has to serve compulsory rotatory internship in the college. You'll be awarded with a monthly stipend of around ?35000. After getting the degree , you can opt for PG by giving another entrance exam or can apply for the post of Medical Office under State Government.

Medico's Journey!

Likes

Academics plays a strong role here. You have to give various tests to keep up with it.
Seniors are pretty helpful. They would provide notes and important questions just berfore exams
The facilities provided like hostel academic complex library are all pretty helpful.

Dislikes

The environment can be cleaned more. Quite polluted.
Its an open campus so people who are not of college roam around here late nights.
The menu remains same for the entire year. Every week the same thing repeats.

Internships Opportunities:

It is compulsory for every student who passes final year to serve in the hospital for a year in various departments as per alloted. Here they can earn from 20k to 40k depending on state. After this they can also continue the same with government setup and earn around 50 to 60k per month.

Internships Opportunities:

The internship is provided only after 4 years of mbbs curriculum in the final year after the final mbbs exams, the internship is for a year for the learning of various clinical procedures, and the stipend is provided.

Internship opportunities are well good in my college campus

I liked the teaching process of all teaches
There is good interaction between seniors and juniors

Dislikes

Medical Campus are not well cleaned all the time
Except these I have not anything dislike related to my college
There are teachers in our college who teach us only by reading the slides of that topics

After the 3rd internal assessment or medical board examination Students eligible for campus placement Offers like marrow subscription, e gurukul subscription, and prep ladder subscription are offered on campus My plan will be to save people acquired with any type of disease

There is no scholarship in MBBS but the government provides a stipend to the house surgeon officers with a good enough salary to maintain their life style. Senior doctors help us to treat the patients by which we get a salary
