GMC offers a variety of courses under its on-campus facilities with various specialities including UG, PG and Diploma programmes, each having their own selection criteria. GMC Admissions to any of the programmes requires either an entrance test to qualify or clear the merit-based selection process.

How to Apply for GMC Admissions?

To apply via the Online method, first, visit the official website of Guntur Medical College
Need to fillup the form from the homepage via a tab for Admissions
Selecting the application form link and filling out the details including personal information and academic details
Adding the photograph in the space provided and enclosing all the required documents
Along with that verify all of the details filled and pay the application fees
Finally, submit the duly filled application form before the due date

According to the programme selected, required scores of entrance exams need to be filled like, NEET UG for UG programmes, NEET-PG for PG programmes like MD, MS. While for courses like M Ch, NEET SS scores are required.

GMC has scholarships funds to help the needy students to get their education completed at utmost, such as

GMCANA Scholarships: This scholarship is provided to the students who are academically excellent and sound, meanwhile economically challenged. These students are selected completely on the basis of their merit scores. The fund amount served is about $250.
Sri Vasireddy Seetapati & Gowri Devi Scholarship Fund: A scholarship distributed totally on the basis of merit scores as awarded to the
- Highest ranked in EAMCET who obtained admission in GMC, fund amount is about $200.
- The first ranker in MBBS in GMC, fund amount is about $200.
Dr Kancherla Aruna Prasad Memorial Endowment Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is provided to the students who are academically bright and economically disadvantaged. And are distributed according to the rank obtained in Eamcet. Fund amount is about $250.
Sri Tummala Ramakrishna Sastrulu Memorial Fund: This scholarship is provided to the students who are academically bright and economically disadvantaged identified by a committee of GMCANA coordinators, Principal and staff. Fund amount is about $200.
Dr.Tummala Ramabrahman, M.D, memorial GMCANA Research Endowment Fund: Established by Drs. Venkata Subba Rao Uppuluri, Srihar Gazula, Nageswara Rao Latchamsetty and Ramprasad Chilakapati in fond memory of their friend and classmate. This scholarship is provided to promote research areas among candidates, awarded to selected research papers in national or international peer-reviewed journals or presented at national or international peer-reviewed meetings. Fund amount is about $400.

Study environment was very good,College is full of greenary which gives student pleasant mind for study
Teaching faculty, Teachers in Guntur medical college were very expertised and visual.They wil keep their full heart to explain the topic,As they too know Guntur medical college is full of talented students
Architecture of the college which was built earlier was excellent,And tells the founders of different fields of medicine

Dislikes

Bathrooms need to be cleaned regularly,And the broken doors,commades of washrooms need to be repaired soon
Canteen also need to be improved,food availability is very poor in the canteen
Hostel food need to be improved,Because for good study good food is also important

Students view on course curriculum

My choice for this profession is that,it gives highest level of respect It is the Profession to save the lives of people The life which was taken away by the evil can be dragged back by the doctors The first year's dissection of cadavers,2nd 3rd 4th year's gives the experience to treat any case and to overcome the fear of blood No improvements needed in our college,as everything seems perfect Timing is planned by expertise, frequency of exams is very accurate and gives boost to remember every topic

Paid internship opportunity provided by the college

After the 4 years of MBBS study,we have to work in our Government hospital as internship for 1 year Where we can get good experience across different medical fields We will gain good confidence on ourselves in internship to treat patients and different cases We can get a stay fund of nearly 25 thousand monthly for our work Not about money but it was a nice time to know the value of Treatment

Fees of the course per year and various scholarship available in the college

As it was Government medical college we are paying 15000 rupees yearly College fees is equal for all,there is no variation depending on the caste/religion Which was a good decision There was no extra money collected from the students except small amount for records,events...etc The students who belongs to Minor castes(SC,ST),Below poverty line,Poor background status ,Merit studenta can avail scholarship from different managements like UGRS(Under Graduate Research Scholarship),JVD(Jagananna Vidya Deevena)...etc According to me the best college for study & Also for the students who can't afford money belonging to poor family According to me getting admission in this college is Good Stage for Talented students

Various events and facilities available in the college

My experience with campus life is very joyful & memorable So many memories with the college life,dissection hall,bunking overall taste of life experienced Every year there will be fests,freshers party,farewell party and many more programs Many social events like awareness of HIV,AMR...etc Library has many books and nice environment to study and the students who can't buy books can get from library and study College monitors has 24hour internet connection Where the faculty shows visual videos for out understanding Every year Many sports competition across different medical colleges there like cricket,football,chess...etc There were also social debates,quiz programs,Small group discussion among different topics to become aware

Hostel accommodation in the campus

Hostel rooms are very clean Room is very spacious for study Each room has 4 beds with required space,24 hours electricity,ventilation Food is quality is somewhat okay but need to be improved Registration process is simple just pay the fees in college and the rooms will be provided by hostel warden sir I am staying in college hostel

Students view on faculties and examination in the college

For 250 students Faculty to complete the subject is sufficient,There is no problem found with the faculty The faculty in the Guntur medical college were student friendly and also very explanatory for every topic which essential for medical students The PPT,writing board way of approach of teaching is very helpful to visualise and understand Ramya madam from pharmacology is my favourite,Madams way of teaching and explaining is very nice There is no faculty to be disliked in Guntur medical college as all were very talented & friendly In college there were internal exams which were conducted for every 3 months Along side there will also be Part completion test weekly Prefinal examination for overall assessment The examination won't be that much difficult,As the marks will be equivalent to the study Out of 250 students only 5-6 students fails which shows the accuracy of good teaching in Guntur medical college

I choose this college because of the fame this college have And also Extent of exposure to the patients,cases As the outpatient number of guntur government hospital is far enough to get well trained for students I didn't choose other colleges I directly choose Guntur medical college because of the study,medical exposure Admission of process of college is Firstly you need to complete the intermediate study of BiPC then pass with good marks Then we should qualify in NEET(National Entrance Eligibility Test) which is the main entrance exam to get admission in any college The one with Top ranks gets admission in Top college like Guntur medical college I got very happy after getting in admission in this precious college

Night Life

College has Many garden areas to chill out after the day full of classes Garden area is very peaceful with beautiful greenary,waterfalls College has the library facility till night 9 along with AC facility College hostel has Gym facility where we can workout freely Hostel is 24hours open for boys But for girls it will be open only till 8'O clock With full security There were many places in or around guntur like reserve forest,kondaveedu fort,phoenix mall....etc

Actually it is old college but eventhough it is old it looks very nice and probably i like practical labs and dissection hall and the way we are learning the cadaver.

Admission:

Firstly In counselling process i kept Guntur medical college first because the fees here is very less and i opted for KIMS Hubli also but unfortunately i didn't get that college and the college fees in Karnataka also high.

It's about 100 boys and 150 girls and it's 2 is to 3 ratio

The main reason I've chosen this college was this was the best college of our state and this is situated in the capital of our state and also this was nearer to my house so due to above reasons I decided to join here

The great guntur medical college

College premises also has canteen and union Bank is also available principle had been changed recently but he so good made our freshers day awesome we are expecting more events infront still college premises also has canteen and good washrooms facili
College has a very good environment and good nature vibes classrooms are provided with air conditioners all the faculty are good labs are also provided with good facilities good hygiene recently all the walls are also painted for good appearance also

Dislikes

Hostels are not provided with air conditioners we are facing so much suffocation it would be nice if there are air conditioners and also ground to play and refresh it is so hard to digest that ground is not available in this big and great college too

Firstly I got rangaraya medical college in the next round I preferred guntur medical college as it is near to my homeplace and moreover when I got to know about this college it is known that it is a very good college in studies perception

No, Guntur Medical College does not offer a B.Sc. in Anaesthesia. It has a Diploma in Anaesthesia Technician instead, along with many other para-medical diploma/degree programs.
