Faculty to student ratio is about 1:5 to 1:8 depending on the department.
I don't have any particular interest among the faculty but every one is easily approachable
The exams are very frequent which is somewhat stressful but they are easy to write
Students are not allowed to bring electronic devices into classroom but teaching is dependent on smart devices.
Faculty:
Teaching is smart learning based with lectures being taught using powerpoint presentations and occasionally smart board. Traching is according to CBME guidelines with small group discussions and self dire ted learning being implemented. Examinations are of three types, formative conducted weekly, internals conducted every 3 months and university final examinations conducted at the end of academic year. Remedial classes and exams are conducted for students who fail the above mentioned exams. Clinical postings are carried out from the second academic year between 10 am to 1pm. College timings are 8am to 4pm.
Faculty in this college is excellent and In 1st mbbs there is 3 subjects.and we have pass three to reach 2nd mbbs and if in case in 2nd mbbs any subject may not able to write or not allowed by college to write then may get backlog and will promote further years and there is 3 internals in all years atleast we have pass 2 of them
faculty and their teaching methods are always my favourite every professor has a unique way of teaching
Faculty:
the faculty and student ratio is nearly 1:20
the faculty cannot take care of everyone in the class. so they mainly focus on the topper students
my favourite faculty are DR.BAPUJI sir professor of anatomy
he teaches each and every detail of yhe human anatomy and always encourages students to acheive more in their life
mainly everyweek one examination is conducted on any of the subject .
a total of 3 internal examinations along with final university examination is conducted
1}The faculty to the student ratio is very high i.e 1:25 and regarding the relationship between student and faculty is good enough for the student to get an insight of the subject that they are struggling to deal with
The approachability of the faculty is great as there's a programme called as mentor-mentee meetings where theres a direct ineraction between students and their allocated faculty members, here student can share their problems regarding subjects and any personal problems to their mentors
2}The faculty that i liked the most is DR.BAPUJI SIR from the department of anatomy and the reason of my interest in his teachings is beacuse of his active sessions and the way he interacts with each student personally and the level of experience he's having and inspite of his teaching excellence he's actually down to earth person and teaches students from the core basics and the level of patience and the experience he holds makes any student to fall in love with his teaching and anatomy
The best facilities in my college is department of ANATOMY,PHYSIOLOGY,PATHOLOGY
3}The faculities i personally dont like are from the department of microbiology and pharmacology, its because of the strict actions they take for some mistakes that dont compensate for the actions any student make either bymistake or wantedly
They are not student friendly when it comes to interactions and the syllabus they allocate for the weekly exams are burdensome
4}The level of difficulty of the exams depends on the amount of syllabus they allocate for us and mostly on the scale of 1 to 5 I personally give it a rating of 3.5 due to the level of stress that i deal with and the extent of syllabus that one has to cover
So the faculty to student ratio is quite good in all departments besides a few minor departments.
Patient load is average but if focused properly will have good clinical exposure
First two years have three internal exams with practicals
Whereas the next two years there are two internal exams with majors in between
Faculty to student ratio. Is good enough but now in the recent batches the number of students have increased and thus more faculty needed to be recruited.
Basically exams in MBBS are not easy , they are tough and they test our ability to work hard and make sure we are doing well.
They will consider the marks and knowledge and plan the session accordingly.
Dislikes
More attention to people who study well. They show partiality.
Faculty:
Obviously the faculty - to - student ratio will be too low in every college. Like wise in our college also, the ratio is 1 faculty for 30 students and all the clinical faculty will be busy with their works in hospital having no time to interact with us and even sometimes to teach the class. I like my FM sir naresh sir as he will be fun in class, teaches the subject and he will be good with us when we go to badminton in evenings.
The faculty to student ratio is a bit low at present and there is good academi activities done by faculty with students.
Our hod of all years are really good and understand but quite strict.
There will be formative, internals, prefinal and finals
All the departments have sufficient faculty but would need more faculty especially the paraclinical subjects and few clinical subjects.
All the faculty are very approachable and are available round the clock for clarifying any concepts and all are proficient in English.
We have mentor-mentee programme where in each faculty is assigned few students with whom they regularly check in with about their academics, mental health, etc.
All departments follow the CBME curriculum provided by the NMC.
