Here’s why IIT BHU is a better option out of the two: Brand Value: The "IIT" name is prestigious and globally recognized. This reputation can be very helpful when applying for jobs or higher studies abroad. Affordable Fees : As a government institution, IIT BHU has much lower fees compared to BITS Pilani, which is a private institution. This makes IIT BHU more affordable for students. High Return on Investment (ROI): Due to its lower fees and excellent placements,  IIT BHU has a higher ROI. Students of IIT BHU invest comparatively less money in their education, but they receive high-paying jobs after graduation. Ans. According to me, opting for IIT BHU for CSE is a better choice as compared to BITS Pilani. IIT BHU is well-recognized nationwide for offering excellent academic standards and research opportunities that help students grow careers. IIT BHU offers four four-year BTech programs for CSE, and the average fee for the first year is around INR 2.27 LPA . IIT BHU offers one of the best placements to the students amongst the IITs. In 2023 474 offers and 305 PPOs were made. The domestic highest package is INR 1.68 CPA and the international highest package is INR 77 LPA .Read more

Ans. CSE in IIT BHU is good. The institute has one of the largest alumni bases for the CSE branch in the country. The placement averages around 100% for CSE students. The domestic average salary package for the branch is 25 LPA. The placement statistics of CSE in IIT BHU are comparable to the top 7 IITs in the country.  The coding culture on campus is quite active. The programming club holds workshops and competitions around the academic year. Since academics aren’t that demanding at IIT BHU, you will get enough time to pursue other technical and co-curricular activities.  For CSE, ragging is completely non-existent. Ans.  Instead of recommending any specific institute, there are some myths that need to be debunked first: Placements at one institute are better than the other. BHU has a wider network. IITG has a cooler administration. You must compare the two courses based on the following features: Academic research Placement statistics Competitive coding Open-source development Other club activities Climate and geography Connectivity (and distance from hometown) If you're specifically interested in CSE, then the first four points are almost equal for both BHU and Guwahati. When it comes to the other points, IITG has a better climate, while Varanasi may be better connected and nearer to your hometown. So, it's up to you to weigh the pros and cons and decide which institute suits you better. Remember to make an informed decision and choose wisely.Read more

Ans. Since you haven’t mentioned the branch you are interested in, I will assume you have no particular preference. Now, the primary factor to consider is if you value the brand of the college or the branch of your choice. Consider the following points  You can go for a less preferred branch at the top 5 IITs and then work hard for branch change. But this would be risky as branch change is very difficult. If your target is to get placed with excellent packages, then choose the CSE branch, it has the best job opportunities. You can also choose to work for noncore placements at the top 5 IITs. However, this will be very time-consuming as you have to manage both your noncore branch and CSE.  The best option would be to choose IIT Dhanbad CSE. It’s true that it won’t offer the opportunities and exposure that the top 5 IITs would but for me branch is more important than the brand name of the college. Ans.  I don’t need to even think twice before saying that IIT Dhanbad CSE is a far better option than Thapar CSE. The former is funded by the central government thereby offering an excellent academic background and opportunities. IIT Dhanbad has a beautiful campus and a vibrant campus life.  Here is the placement scenario of its CSE branch: Placement Percentage 93.13% Average Package INR 27.29 LPA Salary Range INR 5 LPA to INR 56 LPA Number of Recruiters 167 Thapar University, on the other hand, is a semi-government tier 2 that cannot be compared to IIT Dhanbad at all. Ans. As a B.Tech ECE student at IIT Dhanbad, I can give you some insight on this course. The ECE faculty consists of a handful of professors who are genuinely interested in this branch. You’ll get to study from them in the last 3-4 semesters. The rest won’t teach or guide you much.  Only the top performers get placed in core companies. Most of the recruitments are made by IT and software firms. For those jobs, you must learn good enough coding to be able to compete with fellow CSE students. Ans. IIT Dhanbad is better in CSE as compared to IIT Bhubaneswar. IIT Dhanbad, established in 1926, is one of the oldest institutes in the country. On the contrary, IIT Bhubaneswar, established in 2008, comes under the list of new IITs. The overall placement package for CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar might be more alluring than IIT Dhanbad, according to 2019 placement statistics there was 100% placement from the CSE branch and the average placement package offered was around 11.4 LPA while the highest went up to 39 LPA. However, in IIT Dhanbad, the placement rate of the CSE students were 90.23% and the highest CTC offered was 39.5 LPA. Besides the number of students at IIT Dhanbad is more than IIT Bhubaneswar. IIT Dhanbad has an excellent coding culture and organizes a vast number of technical and cultural fests. The number of opportunities in CSE offered by both institutions is almost the same. However, IIT Dhanbad definitely has a slight edge over IIT Bhubaneswar. Being one of the oldest institutes, IIT Dhanbad has better infrastructure as compared to IIT Bhubaneswar. Ans. The answer to this question depends on various factors but to keep it short let’s talk about the NIRF-2019 ranking (engineering category) and placement statistics (CSE Branch) of the institutes. IIT Dhanbad has been ranked at 15th among NIRF Ranking 2019. According to the placement statistics of 2019-20, the percentage of b-tech computer science students placed during campus placements was 90.23%. The percentage of B. Tech & M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (dual degree) placed during campus placements was 66.67% with the highest CTC of INR 23.80 LPA. The highest salary package offered in the computer science branch (B. Tech) was 39.50 LPA. The overall average package offered in all the b-tech branches was 15.50 LPA. Major recruiters include Accenture, Goldman Sach, Synopsys, Microsoft, Flipkart, Siemens, Amazon, Adobe, etc. Indian Institute Of Technology, Bhubaneswar has a NIRF Ranking-17. The placement statistics 2019-20 reveal the overall percentage of b-tech students placed during campus placement drives was around 89.55%. The percentage of computer science students placed was 100% this year but the average CTC offered to the students was less than that of IIT Dhanbad. The highest package offered to the computer science branch was INR 39 LPA. The major recruiters included Amazon, Adobe, Accenture, Akash Institute, BYJU, Atkins, Angel Broking, DELL, Honeywell, INTEL technology, etc. The average package offered was 11.90 LPA. Finally, other facilities such as labs, faculty, and other infrastructure at ISM Dhanbad is better than that of IIT Bhubaneswar as the former is one of the oldest elite institutes of the country.
