This reputation can be very helpful when applying for jobs or higher studies abroad. Affordable Fees : As a government institution, IIT BHU has much lower fees compared to BITS Pilani, which is a private institution. This makes IIT BHU more affordable for students. High Return on Investment (ROI): Due to its lower fees and excellent placements,  IIT BHU has a higher ROI. Students of IIT BHU invest comparatively less money in their education, but they receive high-paying jobs after graduation. Ans. According to me, opting for IIT BHU for CSE is a better choice as compared to BITS Pilani. IIT BHU is well-recognized nationwide for offering excellent academic standards and research opportunities that help students grow careers. IIT BHU offers four four-year BTech programs for CSE, and the average fee for the first year is around INR 2.27 LPA . IIT BHU offers one of the best placements to the students amongst the IITs. In 2023 474 offers and 305 PPOs were made. The domestic highest package is INR 1.68 CPA and the international highest package is INR 77 LPA .Read more

Ans. CSE in IIT BHU is good. The institute has one of the largest alumni bases for the CSE branch in the country. The placement averages around 100% for CSE students. The domestic average salary package for the branch is 25 LPA. The placement statistics of CSE in IIT BHU are comparable to the top 7 IITs in the country.  The coding culture on campus is quite active. The programming club holds workshops and competitions around the academic year. Since academics aren’t that demanding at IIT BHU, you will get enough time to pursue other technical and co-curricular activities.  For CSE, ragging is completely non-existent. A good grasp of these will fetch you a high-paying job no matter which branch you belong to in IIT Delhi. To make it further understandable, I have listed some common pros and cons of IIT Delhi Pros You are in proximity to the capital city  It’s easy to prepare for some other exams also apart from Engineering like IAS Hauz Khas village in itself is an absolute treat to the eyes Being in Delhi makes it possible to go for road trips to Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lansdown, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Agra, etc. The Delhi Metro makes commuting quiet easy There are many places to explore and hang out with your friends in the vicinity of the campus. Cons CS department of IIT Bombay is way better than IIT Delhi offering a plethora of diverse courses. The campus of IIT Bombay has more natural landscape and greenery in comparison to IIT Delhi. This enhances the climate and overall ambiance inside the campus  Unlike IIT Delhi, the hostel facilities are much better at IIT Bombay while Delhi hostels are overly crowded. Delhi faces extreme climatic conditions whereas the weather of IIT Bombay somehow remains the same throughout the year. Ans. Do you think getting admission to the most coveted branch will also give access to the most coveted housing facilities? Well, you are wrong, inside IIT your rank has no value. You will be treated like any other student with equal amenities at your disposal. At IIT Delhi, every student is allotted a room randomly without any discrimination. First-year students usually get 2-seater or 3-seater rooms depending on the hostel they are assigned to.  The single rooms you were asking for are usually allotted in the last year but some lucky students get a single room from the 3rd year in a new hostel like Girnar or Udaigiri. But regardless, your hostel will become your new home. Irrespective of the kind of rooms you are allotted, you get adapted to them and make splendid memories and new friends.Read more

It’s important to consider what you expect from the program and what you plan to achieve after graduation to make the right choice. My sister was in a similar dilemma as yours and eventually, she opted for MCA from IIT Delhi.This program has many courses similar to CS but the only problem is, the pedagogy adopted has a more theoretical approach than practical. Moreover, at some point, you will start questioning the parity of the faculty and will have to resort to self-study. But here is the bright side, most companies coming for CS placements consider MCA students too, and offer decent roles. Although I am not well aware of the situation in Roorkee, I can guarantee a true coding lover will prefer CS to MCA any day.Read more
