Biotechnology at MNNIT Allahabad is really good in comparison to other NITs. You can get placed here if you have potential, and core companies have started coming for campus placements. However, I suggest you choose Biotechnology only if you have an interest in research, as it is a field focused on that. Additionally, at MNNIT, you have the option to slide your branch in the first year if your CPI is above 7.5, allowing you to opt for your desired branch, but you will need to work hard in the first year. Honestly, I suggest MNNIT is the better option.

MNNIT Allahabad offers a solid B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with a strong placement record and a high ROI, as many companies like Microsoft and Amazon recruit from there, and the tuition is manageable with scholarship options for lower-income families. In contrast, IIT BHU's B.Tech in Bioengineering followed by an M.Tech in Biomedical Technology might cost more, but it could lead to specialized roles in a growing field. However, considering the overall fees and the high placement rate at MNNIT, I believe MNNIT is a smarter financial choice if you're looking for good job prospects and value for money. If you’re passionate about bioengineering and willing to invest more, then IIT BHU could be worth it.

MNNIT Allahabad offers a strong Electronics & Communication Engineering program with great placements, especially in tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon, which is appealing if you're looking to dive into the corporate world quickly. The faculty is highly qualified, and the campus life seems vibrant with cultural and tech fests. In contrast, IIT BHU’s B.Tech Bioengineering and M.Tech Biomedical Technology program leans more towards interdisciplinary research and innovation, which might be better if you're interested in the healthcare sector. While MNNIT has a good student-to-faculty ratio and robust industry connections, IIT BHU could provide a unique edge in biomedical fields. Personally, I’d lean towards MNNIT Allahabad for its immediate placement opportunities and lively campus life, but if you’re passionate about bioengineering and want a longer, research-oriented journey, IIT BHU may be the right fit.

The course has been converted to a Dual degree course in ECE (B.Tech) and BioMed (M.Tech) from the earlier 5-year integrated M.Tech. BME is generally considered less preferred compared to other branches like IT and ECE, which offer much more career flexibility. If you can look past this, it's a good course if you are genuinely interested and not joining simply because you weren't getting a good branch at any other college. However, I should warn you that the mistreatment of students by the administration, coupled with a flawed grading system, tends to leave BioMed students feeling demotivated. If you can navigate through that, then you are likely to have a good career ahead.

MNNIT Allahabad’s B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering offers solid placement opportunities with over 95% of students getting placed in big companies like Microsoft and Google, plus the chance to intern with major firms and a good student-to-faculty ratio. On the other hand, IIT BHU’s B.Tech in Bioengineering followed by M.Tech in Biomedical Technology taps into a rapidly growing field, but specific placement data isn't provided. While both colleges have their strengths, MNNIT seems more established in terms of placements and internships, making it a better choice for someone looking for immediate corporate opportunities, whereas IIT BHU may suit those interested in specialized biomedical careers down the line. So, if you want a stable corporate job soon, MNNIT is the way to go; if you're passionate about biomedical tech and willing to wait for opportunities, then IIT BHU could be worth it.
