- Firstly, USYD has a very beautiful campus that gives Hogwarts vibes
- Next, I would say the learning environment, the university provides like access to library and learning hubs 24/7
- Some aspects of my course curriculum that gave the practical exposure in the fields I'm specializing in
Dislikes
- Old fashioned assessment methods: I didn't expect pen-paper exams when I joined the university. I genuinely believe that this is completely waste of time and efforts - some better assessments methods that are more practical in nature should have been included
- Limited support from Careers office: They just wanted to follow the predefined methods instead guiding on a personal basis as per the profile of the student. I was quite disappointed whenever I went there
- Boring Lectures - some lecturers just deliver the lectures by reading the slide content majority of the time
Campus Life
- It has so many campuses - I can't list each and every one, as I only used to go to the business school majorly
- Every facility mentioned is available - sports, library, cafes, and yes, medical services too
- USU FESTs at the beginning of the semester and multiple other events at so many locations conducted during the semester
- I used the badminton court and gym mostly
Fees
-
Semester Vise Fees - It increases each semester, and I remember there are some student amenities fees as well each semester. For me, it was overall around 21-23K AUD per semester - so around 90,000 AUD approximately in total
- Monthly expenses - around 2,500-3,000 AUD
- Rent - 1200-1800 AUD
- Transportation - 150-200 AUD
- Grocery - 400-600 AUD
- Phone Bill - 30-40 AUD
- Other Expenses - 100-200 AUD

- I chose Masters in Economics which has always been my subject of interest. The decision of choosing University of Sydney was the second after deciding the country. Australia looked like an untapped market in comparison to saturated UK job market. USA was the first choice only if offered an admission into the ivy league university. And once, Australia is a country was decided, University of Sydney is the first choice in terms of rankings, and Sydney being the financial capital of Australia.
- The facilities, campus, resources to do anything we want to do and large amount of encouragement the university gives to the students to pursue whatever they want.
Dislikes
- I have expected the university to have a placement cell where they call companies for campus placements, but nothing of this sort exists. We ourselves need to apply to companies and go through the recruitment process, university just trains us. This is the only thing until now which disappointed me.
Overview
I would say University of Sydney gives an excellent experience overall if we see holistically. The residents of the country play a very important role in our perception formation of how we like the place, and Australians are one of the warmest people I met.
Campus Life
I would like to answer this question in one single word:- IMMENSE. The amount of facilities and campus life this university gives, we cannot even enjoy a quarter of it, because there is literally so much going on all the time.
Likes
- Good QS ranking and working rights post completion of Masters.
Overview
The university is good and the academics is pretty updated. The courses are relevant to the industry and the labs and assignments help with the academics. Infrastructure is quite good, with all the facilities and labs.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is excellent with very modern facilities and a lot of options for extracurricular activities.
Likes
- Job Market in Australia, Affordability, proximity to home town.
Overview
Overall great experience. Technical courses don't have a lot of diversity in terms of students. Due to Covid classes were online so difficult to network and make new friends.
Campus Life
Really good sports facility. Issue is every single sports facility has to be paid separately from tuition fees and sports and amenities fees. Nothing is included.
Overview
I choose this university because first its the best University in Australia for my course and I wanted to study in Australia.
Overview
The University of Sydney is among the top ranked universities of the world who delivers some great post graduate courses. The policy to encourage critical and systems thinking in their teaching and research is really timely and most appropriate given the era that we live in. Most importantly, the graduate courses in project management they offer are unique owing to the general subject content that covers a wide range and the industry focus.
Fees
AUD 45,000 per year for international students.
Overview
It is known for its research and research facilities and is ranked in the top 100. For my course it is ranked 19th in the WORLD.
Overview
I was enrolled in New York University as a Business Technology Management student for 2 years. I was 17 at the time and felt pressured by my parents to go to a well-known university to study the same major they did. In New York, I quickly realized that I did not feel fulfilled doing my major, and struggled a lot with my mental health. Mental health is a taboo topic in my home country, Indonesia, and that fact alone fueled my life goal of helping people, and so I took a special interest in the way our brain functions in hopes of advancing science and medicine that would be useful for people in the future as well as removing the negative stigma on mental illnesses. I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and moved half way across the world to USYD as I heard very amazing things about their science and research faculty. So, here I am studying Neuroscience and Psychology in a university that I love.
Overview
The University of Sydney has a renowned globally accredited medical programme which is accepted in multiple countries. Also it is close to home, which for me is Singapore.
