  • My university has 2 campuses. QUT Gardens Point campus and QUT Kelvin Grove Campus.
  • Both Campuses have library facilities. There are sports facilities such as a gym and swimming pool in the Garden view campus and a big stadium area in the Kelvin Grove Campus. Big cafeteria area; meeting rooms are available on both campuses. There is also a retail store available for students on the campus. There is a shuttle bus available between the two campuses.
  • The various festivals, like the International Ethnic festival where students from different countries showcase their culture through colourful outfits and food and delicacies.
  • There are different clubs, such as Science clubs and fashion clubs, which encourage students to present their innovative ideas and work by rewarding their work.

Fees

  • The entire course was 144 credits. With each study unit accounting for 12 units each. Each Study unit costs around $4200. The fee was to be paid per semester. International students can only do the course on a full-time basis. So you need to choose 4 units each semester. Therefore, it would cost roughly $168,000 per semester. There is also around $300 to be paid yearly for using college amenities like the library, internet and other miscellaneous services.
  • For accommodation, a room for rent would cost around $400-500 per week, including all bills, which includes Internet as well. Eating if on a budget would cost $100-150 per week.

Campus Life

10

  • There are 2 campuses: Gardens Point (near Brisbane City) and Kelvins Grove.
  • Facilities include a 24*7 library, basket ball court, gym, swimming, parking, medical, food outlets, seating areas, and botanical gardens.
  • Major Events & Clubs: QUT Guild O-Week (Orientation Week), QUT International Festival, QUT Classic, QUT Business & Consulting Club, QUT Dragon Boat Regatta, QUT Cup.

Fees

  • The course fee for me was A$ 18,400, which can be reduced if you get a scholarship.
  • The fee is charged semester-wise. In some cases, you might get an alternative payment method if you are struggling with your finances and your college approves of it. In that case, you might get a chance to pay the fee in installments or pay the entire fee a little later, but within the deadline provided by the college. This is not applicable to the first semester fee.
  • The monthly costs would be about $180-300 on rent, about $50 on amenities like water, electricity, gas, and internet, and $100 on your groceries (depending on how you spend it). But the public transport is cheap, with 50 cents for a ride in a bus, train, or ferry.

Overview

Networking and travel opportunities in which QUT was able to offer me in addition to my studies itself. QUT offers many short and long term exchange programs as well as study tours which allows small groups of students to travel overseas and gain credible experiences

Fees

I was able to participate in my degree through HEX and this also included my SAS fees too. If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have been able to attend university at all. QUT has also been accommodating to students through many scholarship programs on offer.

Overview

Because this is the only university in Brisbane which focus on more practical application than theory in technology field there are a lot of opportunities in this university to work on IT projects with supervisors and learn how this field operates in real life which motivated me even more to join this university

Fees

Scholarships are available to students with high grades and fees are quite high for international students. You need to pay for every unit you study and paid at the beginning of every semester. I am doing 3 semesters for my first year so I need to pay money at the beginning of every semester. I am looking forward to a scholarship

Overview

I heard many good things from past students, my siblings also went to this university and had positive experiences. It was closer than Griffith and I also liked the campuses a lot better than any other university I looked at.

Fees

I deferred my fees to HEX, this process was made very easy and straightforward. There is another fee for each semester of study that you can also defer.

Overview

I had the course I wanted and was easily accessible. I enjoyed the general atmosphere of the campus and the facilities were good. There was also a broad range of clubs and societies that interested me.

Fees

The fees are government paid when you apply for HECS help loans which I believe is beneficial as it allowed people from all walks of life to gain a degree to improve their employability

Overview

It had lots of freebies and it's just a great school from word of mouth it's also easy to access and who doesn't like free stuff. I'll go anywhere if they do lots of giveaways and market days and fun activities.

Fees

Reasonable and tells how the government helps out when you're applying they strongly suggest to fill out a financial aid document.

Overview

I elected to go to QUT due to its reputation. I had heard and researched that QUT had one of the best technology courses and curriculum in comparison to other universities teaching the same course. Its location is in the middle of the city also made it easy for me to reach it from work.

Fees

The fee structure was, you were charged a flat amount per unit per semester. There is extreme transparency with the cost, and students have the ability to drop out of the particular unit before the unit cost is incurred. I never had to pay for any resources in order to take the course, but textbooks were recommended (and the ones I did acquire were certainly helpful).

I heard QUT has the best learning faculties. I have a lot of friends who go there. QUT is in the top 10 universities in Australia. I have amazing support from tutors and lecturers. The campus is based close to home.

Fees

3,055 for the course alone. $2,436 for textiles and resources. Quite expensive for a short study period.

Overview

QUT has a good ranking which will give me a recognized degree, and also with their learning resources outside the classroom, it will allow me to gain practical knowledge. Brisbane being a very hospital city made me consider it as well.

Fees

The fee structure was very fair in comparison to other universities in Australia, and also with a medium priced living cost in Brisbane it's an ideal location to start on education.

You can study for a Master of Science in Nursing (MSc Nursing) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) while working as a nurse! However, you can explore the QUT courses to learn more about the curriculum, fees, and other details.

Students might be exempt from providing English language test scores if they have completed previous education in English-medium institutions or if they are from countries where English is the primary language.
