Top Colleges in Arunachal Pradesh 2026: Fees, Admission, Ranking, Cutoff, Placement.

Ans. RGU Itanagar fills its MBA seats through CUET PG 2026 alone, according to its 2026-27 admission bulletin, and asks for a bachelor's degree with 50%. NERIST holds its own test, NEPGET 2026, followed by a group discussion and interview weighted 75:25, and a valid CAT or MAT score exempts a candidate from the written test.

AUS Lohit takes CUET PG scores, while NEFTU West Siang holds its own entrance test and interview and also considers national and state entrance scores.

Ans. NEFTU West Siang charges 48.00 K in total for its MBA, the lowest MBA fee on Collegedunia's list, followed by HU Itanagar at 60.00 K, VOU Naharlagun at 88.00 K, and RGU Itanagar at 96.10 K.

Arunodaya University's 12.00 K and APU Pasighat's 19.00 K programmes cost less, but both are postgraduate diplomas; their MBA Finance programmes cost 2.40 Lakh and 1.40 Lakh.

Ans. NERIST is the only college on this list that publishes an MBA median: its placement cell puts the 2025-26 median at 6.00 LPA and the highest offer at 13.00 LPA. Its official placement list records 26 offers for MBA students, with InternsElite, Insplore Consultants, BMS Masaood, Shyam Steel, and PIE Infotech among the recruiters.

Ans. NERIST is ranked 65th by IIRF in management, the only agency rank among the MBA colleges on this list. No institution in Arunachal Pradesh appears in NIRF Management 2025.

Ans. In JoSAA 2026 Round 5, NIT Arunachal Pradesh's CSE closed at 102529 under the Home State quota and 31966 under the Other State quota, and its ECE at 159477 and 45717.

NERIST's CSE closed at 69130 in the same round. NERIST also fills B.Tech seats through its own entrance test, NEE 2026, held on 25 April 2026.

Ans. In its NIRF 2026 filing, NIT Arunachal Pradesh reports a B.Tech median of 9.00 LPA for 2024-25, with 253 of 319 graduates placed. NERIST reports 7.50 LPA, with 221 of 330 placed.

NERIST's placement cell puts the highest 2025-26 B.Tech offer at 32.48 LPA, in Mechanical Engineering, and NIT Arunachal Pradesh's placement page lists 17.00 LPA as its 2025-26 highest. The other six universities on this list publish no B.Tech median.

Ans. NIT Arunachal Pradesh's placement page names Microsoft, UKG, Nexturn, Vedanta, and Hewlett Packard among the employers of its B.Tech students.

NERIST's 2025-26 placement list is led by MRF, with Shree Cement, PIE Infotech, Mindseekers Technologies, and Indus Towers also hiring from its B.Tech branches.

Ans. NEFTU West Siang holds its own entrance test and interview and also considers national and state entrance scores. Arunodaya University selects on qualifying-exam marks, an entrance test, or an interview, and its B.Tech Civil Engineering asks for Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

IGTAMSU Ziro asks for 45% in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for its B.Tech CSE.

Ans. RGU Itanagar's 2026-27 admission bulletin routes its LLM, and the three-year LLB at its affiliated law colleges, through CUET PG 2026, though JGGLC Jote (Jarbom Gamlin Government Law College) filled its vacant LLB seats through its own test. AUS Lohit also takes CUET PG scores.

NEFTU West Siang holds its own entrance test and interview, and Arunodaya University selects on qualifying marks, an entrance test, or an interview.

Ans. A Bar Council of India letter dated 31 July 2026 extends provisional approval of Arunodaya University's three-year LLB, in two sections of 60, to 2026-27. NEFTU West Siang's latest posted letter, dated 10 September 2024, covers its three-year LLB and five-year BA LLB for 2024-25.

The council's approved-college list dated 7 July 2022 records LLB approvals for AUS Lohit, APU Pasighat, and HU Itanagar valid up to 2021-22, and for JGGLC Jote up to 2019-20.

Ans. Yes. JGGLC Jote, affiliated to RGU Itanagar, offers a three-year LLB with 120 seats to graduates of any discipline. For 2026-27 it filled seats first from the CUET PG 2026 merit list and then through its own test, JGGLCET 2026, held on 9 August 2026.

RGU Itanagar's own Department of Law teaches only the LLM and PhD.

Ans. Collegedunia lists four colleges with a BA LLB or BBA LLB in Arunachal Pradesh. HU Itanagar's law page lists a five-year BA LLB open after Class 12, alongside its three-year LLB and two-year LLM.

NEFTU West Siang's 2024 Bar Council of India letter also covers a five-year BA LLB.

Ans. TRIHMS Naharlagun is the state's only MBBS college, with 100 seats in 2026-27 according to the National Medical Commission's seat matrix. It is a government institute under the state's Directorate of Medical Education, Training and Research, affiliated to RGU Itanagar.

Fifteen seats go to the All India Quota through the Medical Counselling Committee, and the other 85 to Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe candidates, including a 5% share for candidates with benchmark disabilities.

Ans. Under the All India Quota, NEET UG 2026 closed at 28339 for TRIHMS Naharlagun, taking the highest closing rank across the rounds held so far.

The state-quota seats are allotted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Training and Research on NEET UG 2026 scores, and applicants need domicile and Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe certificates.

Ans. The 2026-27 prospectus sets tuition at INR 20,000, and the total due at admission comes to INR 77,100, including deposits, hostel, and other charges. MBBS students also sign a surety bond of INR 10,00,000 and commit to one year of service in the state after the internship.

TRIHMS Naharlagun reported an undergraduate intern stipend of INR 25,000 to the National Medical Commission in 2024.

Ans. Collegedunia lists five BPT colleges in Arunachal Pradesh, with total fees from 60.00 K at HU Itanagar to 4.20 Lakh at AUS Lohit. IGTAMSU Ziro charges 2.85 Lakh and is ranked 54th by IIRF in medical.

AUS Lohit's BPT lasts four and a half years and asks for 50% in Class 12 Science.

Ans. Not in 2026-27. NEHMCH Itanagar, the only BHMS college on Collegedunia's list, has a sanctioned intake of 50, but the National Commission for Homoeopathy's permission status as on 16 October 2026 shows no intake permitted there for 2026-27.

The state directorate's vacant-seat notice of 15 October 2026 lists Arunachal Pradesh's state-quota BHMS seats at a homoeopathy college in Guwahati, Assam.

Ans. It depends on the stream. NIT Arunachal Pradesh holds the highest CD Score on this page at 790 out of 1000 and sits in the 101-150 band of NIRF Engineering 2025, ahead of NERIST on 703. RGU Itanagar heads the MBA and law lists and is in the 151-200 band of the NIRF University ranking, and TRIHMS Naharlagun is the state's only MBBS college.

Ans. The CD Score is Collegedunia's rating of a college out of 1000, made up of an academic score and a placement score. The academic score draws on state or all-India entrance exam cutoffs, student reviews, NAAC grades, and agency rankings. The placement score draws on the average package, the median package, and the number of students placed.

Ans. NIT Arunachal Pradesh has the higher median, 9.00 LPA against 7.50 LPA for the 2024-25 batch, a higher CD Score of 790 against 703, and a stronger NIRF Engineering 2025 band. NERIST costs far less, 2.24 Lakh against 6.11 Lakh, so its median returns 334.82% of the fee against 147.30%.

In JoSAA 2026 Round 5, NIT Arunachal Pradesh's CSE closed at 31966 for Other State candidates and 102529 for home-state candidates, while NERIST's CSE, filled on an all-India basis, closed at 69130.

Verdict: NIT Arunachal Pradesh, for its higher median, CD Score, and NIRF band; NERIST is the value pick for candidates who weigh fees first.

Ans. RGU Itanagar charges 96.10 K against NERIST's 1.99 Lakh and admits on CUET PG 2026 alone. NERIST holds its own NEPGET with a group discussion and interview, accepts CAT and MAT scores, and is ranked 65th by IIRF in management.

NERIST's placement cell reports a 2025-26 MBA median of 6.00 LPA, and its placement list records 26 MBA offers, while RGU Itanagar's placement page lists only a 2020 MBA placement.

Verdict: NERIST, for its published median, documented MBA placements, and agency rank; RGU Itanagar suits candidates who want the lower fee and a CUET PG route.

Ans. Each stream has its own route. MBA admission is based on CUET PG at RGU Itanagar and AUS Lohit and on NEPGET, CAT, or MAT at NERIST. Engineering admission is through JEE Main and JoSAA at NIT Arunachal Pradesh and NERIST, which also holds its own NEE.

LLM seats at RGU Itanagar are filled through CUET PG, NEFTU West Siang and Arunodaya University hold their own tests or interviews, and MBBS seats at TRIHMS Naharlagun are filled through NEET UG alone.

Ans. MBA fees range from 48.00 K at NEFTU West Siang to 2.40 Lakh for Arunodaya University's MBA Finance, and engineering fees from 1.60 Lakh at HU Itanagar to 6.11 Lakh at NIT Arunachal Pradesh.

LLB fees range from 15.00 K at HU Itanagar to 2.10 Lakh at AUS Lohit, and medical programme fees on Collegedunia's list from 15.63 K at RGU Itanagar to 4.27 Lakh at NEHMCH Itanagar.

Ans. The two B.Tech medians come from the NIRF 2026 Data Capturing System filings of NIT Arunachal Pradesh and NERIST, which cover the batch that graduated in 2024-25.

NERIST files no NIRF Management report, so its MBA median of 6.00 LPA comes from its placement cell's 2025-26 figures. No other MBA, law, or medical college on this list publishes a programme-specific median.

Ans. Not for MBBS or the two centrally funded engineering institutes. TRIHMS Naharlagun admits on NEET UG alone, and NIT Arunachal Pradesh and NERIST admit on JEE Main or, at NERIST, its own NEE.

Some private universities do not rest on a single entrance test: Arunodaya University can select on qualifying-exam marks or an interview, and APU Pasighat describes a holistic assessment that takes national test scores into account.
