Admissions at Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University are offered through merit basis and first-come-first-served basis. However, one has to apply online through the official website of the University.

Presently the University is functioning from its own campus at the SSB Gate beside it has few leased buildings for housing its offices, classrooms, laboratories, library, staff accommodation, hostel, etc.

• Hostel: The Hostel for Girls is a residence for full-time students. The main objective of the Hostel is to provide a comfortable, homely stay, and freedom with responsibility to the residents. The warden is responsible for internal management and day-to-day discipline.
• Library: The Central Library is situated on SSB Gate Campus. It has a collection of over 15,000 books in a different domain
• Industry-University Interaction Cell: The Centre will focus on building through various employability skills through various training programs and interactions with industries. These skills not only improve the chances of placements for students but also help in developing professional attributes essential for growth in the job.
• Living in Zero: Zero is a census town located in the Arunachal Pradesh. It is the favorite spot of UNESCO Heritage. The place experiences severe winters from the month of December to February, Monsoon from the month of March to May and Thunderstorms for the rest of the year. Its naturistic view makes it an ideal place to study.
