LPU Campus 

Lovely Professional University, located in Jalandhar, Punjab, is extended over a huge area of 600 acres. It is a fully residential campus housing more than 30,000 students in around 50 blocks. With all these, LPU is considered one of the largest campuses in India. It is a micro version of a diverse India with students from every part of the country. LPU Campus Events

LPU has one of the most happening campus life in India. There are several events and competitions happening throughout the year for students. Given below are some of the core event categories at LPU: 

Cultural Events and Fests: LPU organizes many cultural festivals on music, dance, arts, Alumni performances, etc. It also invites celebrities for motivational and informative talks. • Youthvibe: This Open Fest, is a carnival of fun, games, technology, and cultural shows where students interact with each other. 
• One-world: This is another fest of LPU where all national and international student participates and show their country's culture.
• One-India: As the name states, it is a fest at LPU where students from different Indian states show the culture of their states.

Social work: NSS groups at LPU conduct awareness rallies on Cancer, AIIDS, organ donation, food wastage, nature conservation, etc., and organize plantation drives and blood donation camps. LPU is dedicated to giving back to society through its various community service programs.

LPU Campus Infrastructure

Lovely Professional University is spread over a sprawling campus of 600 acres. Given below are the highlights of facilities and infrastructure that are a part of the campus: 

• The campus library is a massive reservoir of learning resources. LPU has a vast library system with 11 branches. The central library which is the biggest one is 9 stories and spread over an area of 1.5 Lakh sq. ft. It hosts more than 24+ lakh books and journals which the students can access anytime they need them. 
• Specialized laboratories equipped with the latest tools and equipment are present. They are for departments like aviation, research, automation and robotics, psychology, computer science, microbiology, engineering branches, etc. 
• There are six open-air auditoriums for organizing cultural events and fests smoothly. Three large auditoriums, namely Baldev Raj Mittal UniPolis, Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium, and Baldev Raj Mittal Auditorium, can accommodate 10000, 2500, and 350 people, respectively.
• There is also a dedicated University hospital that provides basic medical facilities and assistance in emergencies.
• There are separate hostels for boys and girls with various affordable and comfortable accommodation options, like AC and non-AC 2-seater, 4-seater, and apartments. 
• Shanti Devi Mittal indoor stadium comprises sports areas for badminton, basketball, table tennis, etc. 
• Thirteen well-developed and open gyms with AC, sauna, cardio, etc., are present to promote healthy living for students. Students can partake in various activities to improve their physical well-being while studying. 
• Five playgrounds for cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, skating, etc., are also present. LPU promotes the spirit of sportsmanship through its various inter and intra-university tournaments. 
• LPU Student Centre is a separate and massive area on campus with shops and food courts operated by students. Students also have the opportunity to work in these if they wish to earn extra income. 

LPU Campus Hostel Facilities

LPU has hostels on its lush green and open campus for accommodating students. LPU’s campus and hostel are made safe by security officials and CCTVs installed on the campus. The campus also has its fire station department, Turnstile gates, and boom barriers. The hostel rooms are divided into 3 categories: Standard Rooms, Apartments, and Dormitories. • Internet services: LPU is a 5G-enabled campus that provides high-speed internet browsing experience to students at no cost.
• Mess and Laundry: The hostels comprise dining halls that provide four healthy and hygienic meals. Students can also avail of house laundry services by paying a small fee. 
• Medical facility: The campus provides 24*7 medical assistance to students. The thirty bedded campus hospital comprises resident medical practitioners and dieticians.
• Transport facility: LPU campus has fast and well-timed bus services for travel in Punjab and nearby areas. 
• Indoor sports stadiums and gyms: By joining paid and yearly memberships, students can access gyms and sports areas for swimming, shooting range, squash, badminton, volleyball, etc.
• Convenience stores are present for groceries and the basic needs of hostelers. 
• Guidance: The residential faculty and staff are always available to guide students regarding academics and careers on campus.
