- The most important thing about NEU is its coop program and the only reason you should come but it is not guaranteed and only 60% of people get it so you need to be hardworking and smart to get it other than that good infrastructure.
- Dislikes:
- Too many Indians it is very crowded with Indians no On-campus jobs nothing, very costly city in bad market the meaning of this college is nothing, this college is good only in the good market because of coop program.
Placement
We generally have company fairs but because of so many Indians here it is not a good event you are generally given a portal known as NUWORKS for intern search which is great and that's the only support from college you get then in full-time you are on your way in this bad market mostly only 15% people got the job and mostly they got from their intern company only.
Internship
Yes, I interned at BOSCH Home Comfort as a Software Developer Intern and the stipend was 32usd/hr it was 2 interview rounds one was online and the next final round was in the office.

- Everything, the campus, the events, the professors, the teaching quality is amazing.,
- It was the best decision of my life to apply and select this as my stepping stone in the US.
- Dislikes:
- Some of the buildings could have been renovated now and made them upto the mark, apart from this, no other issues.,
- The university is great. The students feel exactly like home with the culture shared.
Placement
Amazing because Northeastern is famous and they help students with the co-op program that helps a lot of students with get their placements later.
Internship
Yes, at EXL Health. I applied through various sources and got this through LinkedIn.
Placement
The career coaching team is always available to provide suggestions on your resume/ profile. No post-study placements from the university as such. You'll have to go for job hunting yourself via LinkedIn etc.
Internship
I interned at Liberty Mutual Insurance as an SDE intern. Worked on the web development team and applied for it via LinkedIn. Gave 2 rounds of interview and got it. Before this I had applied to over 300 companies with a handful of interviews (3-4). Generally the stipend amount of interns at any company from Northeastern is $30/hr for 40 hours per week.

- The quality of assignment are great they push you to the limits and helps you explore beyond your subject knowledge.,
- Most of the professors are part time professors so they work at a corporate and teach the students as well so they share a lot of industrial insights,
- They have a amazing program for coop where you can study and work full time for 6 to 8 months.
- Dislikes:
- Too many Indians international exposure is almost negligible.,
- Little to no campus opportunities for most of the students.,
- No flexibility in the coop program you need to follow there timelines.
Placement
The placement here in USA is not what it is in India. Here in USA we have career fairs where student go and interact with the HRs and HRs let people know what roles they are looking for and take the resumes from students other then that people apply through LinkedIn and other job boards. Some of the major companies where northeastern students get into are fidelity, State street, Charles river, Amazon, Akamai they offer around 80k-140k for the entry level role with an average between 90-100k. The tips for finding jobs would be cold apply, cold mail, in mail through LinkedIn and networking knowing your peers as well as your seniors will help a lot while searching for jobs.
Internship
My internship experience was great it was my first time working for corporate America. I have an experience of 3.5 yrs as a software developer so I'm well versed with the office culture but I was trying something new which I had not done before therefore, I had taken internship as a data analyst. It felt challenging at first but later on my experience came into picture and it was all relaxing. I got this internship from network as well as from LinkedIn. The company I worked for was uni first it had uniform or clothing for blue collar jobs, there I used to handle there visualisation dashboard, database and website. We had a team of 6 people I was an intern in there team. I was earning $40/hr.
Placement
Very great! Co op really helps students out as they already have two year of work experience coming out of college compared to their peers who are graduation who have none. I have visited Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Fidelity, black stone, and so many more companies.
Internship
Yes, I am interning at a local tech consulting company this summer in the finance department in Princeton.

Placement
North eastern has better placements and value it provides to your career is amazing as it helps you to land better opportunities as well as a good salary but in the end your skills matters a lot in placement drives
I didn't like the curriculum and the master's was only for 1 year. I was looking for a 2-year master's as I have completed my graduation in 3 years I want to pursue a 2-year master's to get a better understanding of my major.
Placement
Tech job market is worst right now. The placement ratio is <5%. So, no companies visited. Median salary is $100k if you get a job
Internship

- This was one of the private university in US. I checked the education values of university, I did coffee chat with the alumni people, they had good study experience and they suggested me, this university has co-op options and time length is 8 months, you can work outside and gain some experience, and university has good placement options for work in other companies,.,
- University has inspired and motivated staff and faculty and best placement options. and the sports events to prepare students physically. They provide good and long time CO-Op options, according to my survey the placement options are much better than other universities with good salaries specially for Computer Science, i see many students working with High-techs after graduated.
- Dislikes:
- The main thing that I really didn't like about university is the weather, that's cold in boston and in winters there all around the snow, that occurs the problems in travelling in early morning to go campus.
Placement

Internship
I applied for summer interns last year, that came downfall for interns, so I failed to get, then I moved to apply full times as per my professor suggestions.
- Likes:
- I chose this university because the location appealed to me, and the college had stellar reviews. The positive feedback and the promising aspects of the program were key factors that led me to accept the admission offer.,
- I genuinely enjoy my college experience. The campus is fantastic, and the professors go beyond teaching—they focus on real-world applications, making us job-ready. Being in Boston offers abundant job prospects, and the college provides valuable guidance on securing internships. What's more, professors have industry connections, helping us build a network that extends our opportunities.
- Dislikes:
- I wish there were more diverse course options, and some classes focus on outdated technology. The recent increase in admissions has led to a larger, more competitive crowd, impacting the overall experience.
Placement
Two years ago, the average post-study placement for my program was high. However, the current job market downturn and increased university enrollment have heightened competition. Northeastern University facilitates placements through NUWorks, an exclusive portal for job postings. Unfortunately, as a first-semester student, I am not yet eligible to access NUWorks. Nonetheless, I have heard positive feedback from seniors about the platform.
Internship
I haven't done an internship yet since I'm in my first semester. I'm eagerly waiting to become eligible after completing two semesters.

- The major factor was the CO-OP given by the university for 6 months and secondly it is located in Boston which is hub for biotechnology
Placement
It is approx 99% in my university due to internship program. There are a lot of alumni working in major companies like moderna, Takeda and gsk. And the starting package is around 100 k. The placement process is via NU works or LinkedIn mostly and then the interview takes place. We have a separate class which helps us in building the resume and prepares us for the interview process which is a great plus.
Internship
No not yet but mostly next semester.
