Christ University, Yeshwanthpur in a Nutshell

Likes

The Infrastrurce of the campus is really good as it is a new campus. Neat and clean campus
This university provides a high quality education to each students and makes the students ready for the corporate.
The faculties are highly qualified professionals and are specialized in their fields

Dislikes

They give us a lot of CIA assignments which is a stress for us
Dress code is a must in this university which is Kurthi with Duppata for girls where duppata is mandatory and for boys formals where they should have a clean shaved face and cut hair
The students in some departments get suspended even for unshaved beards.

Placement Experience:

Christ Univeristy proivides a wide rage of companies for placements. The students get placements by the 6th semester. The big4 companies i.e. JP MORGAN,EY, DELOITTE, PwC along with other prominent companies like Goldmansachs, KPMG,Deutsche Bank,Accenture etc. Most of the students get placed with 6,00,000 per annum. About 60% of the students get placed in the top notch companies. I personally would like to be place in one of the Big4 companies and after 2 years of work experience I would take MBA from a prominent university.

My experience till now at Christ University Yeshwanthpur Campus

Likes

The professors are very professional. They are all well prepared and knowledgeable. The classes are interesting if you are interested for learning.
The discipline all the students have inside the college is amazing. Each and everyone follows the proper dress code with proper grooming. Everyone have to wear the I card at all times. And even the security guards are respected very much by everyone.
The infrastructure of this campus is very convenient. We have a football turf, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, etc in our campus. The hostel is inside the campus so it is easy for the hostel students to go to the class early.

Dislikes

A very strict uniform code is required which can be an issue for some people.
Attendance is a very crucial part as we have to have aggregate of 85% in all subjects.
The hostel has too many restrictions. No food allowed inside not even dry snacks, no lights allowed after 10:30pm, taking permission for night out or out station is a task.

As I am in first year only I am not so sure about the placements but I have heard from my seniors that mostly all the students are getting placed. And getting placed in good companies such as delloit, EY, Goldman Sachs, etc

The campus is beautiful and soothing. There are enough places to sit and relax or even have a study session.
The Economics Faculty is amazing and interactive. they are very approachable and friendly.
The opportunities provided by the university. There is always some workshop/guest talk to upskill yourself. There are also inter-college competitions for you to compete.

Dislikes

The Psychology Faculty- It can be managed in a much more efficient manner.
The inflexibility. The rules are too rigid. While some of them make sense, others are outright questionable.
Changing of examination dates. Due to this a lot of people have to keep changing their tickets to go back home. They do not always follow the calendar.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is definitely relevant. Though the course is new in the country, the course will teach you about the economic aspect of the world and the psychology behind it. This course will help you if you are interested in economics but also in human behavior. At the end of the day, economics is based on people, so it is vital to understand the human psyche to understand various economic phenomena. This course provides you exactly that. The course curriculum is well-developed and changes as and when required. The examinations are standardized and application-based, ensuring learning outside of theories.

Likes

The student environment around the campus basically the clubs the way they offered students grow to time a long with industry.
The faculties. Basically they are all friendlies approachable. Will guide you like your parents and the kind behaviour to all the students
Here people from all across the India comes to learn to we can know the diversity of all over India from here also the canteen in too good even the lab and classrooms are too good and also the brand of Christ is also there

Dislikes

The attendance criteria of 85% the only thing I don't like about this university

Placement Experience:

From sem 5 placement program starting. The past batch got 100 placements out of 120 student. The highest package was 12lpa and lowest was 8 lpa.. It depends on how many internship u have done while doing ur pg. My plans to go to madrid to pursued an degree in sports management

Few faculty are really experienced and the teaching method they use is really good
We get access to multiple sources to refer for studying, making it easy to study and the library has a great collection of books to refer from.
The campus life is really lively, the students are talented in everything. There's a huge number of people into music, and every other day you see someone playing music and that's really good

Dislikes

The timings are not really that good considering people who come really far from
The dress code is really strict, making it really suffocative as a student to study in an environment

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are really good, students become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester i believe, and the companies that visited go from Accenture, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, and more. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue further education abroad.

loved the course and the diversity it provides to students!
a lot of co curricular and clubs to get involved in
Umn maybe an Amazing faculty to look for

Dislikes

Maybe how the medical leave is applied is not very student friendly
That's Attendance policies are very strict
Carrying a dupatta all the time is a bit hectic

Placement Experience:

I have not received it yet cuz I didn't appear mainly, next year maybe However, we have good placements here so that's not an issue and people have recieved good placements from our university, mostly all.

Lecturers help you a lot when you need guidance
The washroom are kept very clean and corridors too
The placement are good and they provide internships

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement after 3rd year. There will be 100+ companies coming to the college. We will get the gig 4 company in finance, McKinsey,l&t,bain and co and many more. I am in my 2nd year so I don't know much about offers Almost 90% of students gets placed. My plan after getting degree is to join my family business

There are lot of clubs to showcase our talents organised by skilled students only under experienced and well trained faculties
They focus more on practical approaches rather than theoritcal one and they start preparing their students for specific fields from the very first day . Teachers from the very first day treat us as managers which increases our competitiveness
Since it's a new campus infrastructure is really nice with clean premises and lot of food options to choose from in canteen . Veg and non veg section is also separated

Dislikes

I don't know why they focus so much on id card . Even we can't enter by showing our kp ( online identification ). Have to wear id card 24/7 otherwise no entry
Campus area should be a bit more big as now third year students have also joined so theres somewhere a lack of space

Placement Experience:

Students become capable for college placements after 3rd year itself and they can apply for the same. Lot of companies visit our college including Deloitte , JP Morga, dshaw and overall of top 30 to 40 mnc and companies . At least 80 percent students gets placed every year. Highest package offered from my course is 1200000 and averages is 6 to 7 laks

The campus is vibrant and the seniors and teachers are very supportive.
It is a happening campus. There is always one or the other event going on
I have never seen ragging or bullying on campus

Dislikes

Campus is not very big compared to the central campus of christ

Placement Experience:

After 6th students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture, Byju IBM And more. average placement offer is 7.7 lakhs as off last year.My plan after getting the degree is to get placed through campus placement itself.

loads of exposure in various working fields and easy to make connections with alumni and other successful persons that come to the college for lectures or seminars
very focused on practical applications of degree

Dislikes

85% attendance overall and 75 per subject otherwise hefty fine and not allowed to write exam have to give supplementary
Yeshwanthpur Campus is still under construction will only be completed around the time i graduate which is next year

Placement Experience:

You're eligible for placements from 5th sem if your part of a 6 sem course. I'm in the first batch of students at YPR Campus so we will be the first batch to get placed hence no companies have visited yet. However companies like ABB, goldmensachs, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. come to Christ's for placements. Highest package I've heard of is 32 lakhs pa, and lowest was 5l pa. College claims 100% placement (if the students is qualified) I'll sit for placements during 6th sem (next year).
