Campus Life

My overall experience with my campus life at Guru Nanak college has been in reaching and focus balance in academics with associble extra curricular activities while the college main not boost cutting age ultra modern infrastructure it provides are supportive environment essential for student who pretorize affordable and quality education The social life is driven mor by department activities and self initiated groups rather than large centralise clubs. Festival and technical events:- 1. Annual sport Day typically held in January of February this is a major event program promoting fitness and healthy competition among all department 2. College foundation Day cultural fest us celebrated around December January it is the primary platform for culture performance student laid skate and talent showcase. 3. Departmental seminar workshop these serves as the technical festival for many departments specially science and commerce they are generally held between February and March and involves guest lecture papers presentations and quiz competitions. Library resources and accessibility:- 1. Range of books it maintenance a good collection of core textbook essential for various syllabus courses BA BSc BCom the availability of multiple copies of prescribed book which is generally adequate which is crucial for student who can't afford to buy 2. Sscbility the library staff is supportive and book landing process is efficient however the sitting capacity can sometimes feel constant during pick exam preparation periods

Faculty

In guru nanak College dhanbad, the faculty to student ratio is quite good. Most of the teacher are very supportive and friendly in nature .they are always ready to guide students in study as well as in personal matters .some teacher explain topics very clearly and give real life examples which make the subject more easy to understand. The course structure is well organised and updates as per the university syallabus.teachers take regular classes and internal exams to keep student in touch with syallabus .the marking system is fair and based on performance in both theory and practical . exam system is moderate, not too tough and not too easy .if a student studies regularly they can easily clear all papers .sometimes there are minor issues like late schedule or result delay ,but overall it is manageable

Campus Life

"Nava Varan", "GMSM Social" etc. are the annual and technical festivals along with the Year or any specific time the college authority held. It is very easy to access the Books and Journals from College Library, but You have to be Accountable for the Things you get from Library. You just have to registered your name on Library. The facilities and technological provisions within the Classrooms are enjoyable and great memorable, to study with the Teachers, to talking about the Syllabus and most favourite to chatting with friends. The overview of sports and extracurricular activities offered on Campus is good to play with friends and sometimes with Alumni and teachers and they are supporting students to play for District, State and India in any types of Sports. Yes, some of my friends run social groups for academic notices of College for students.

Faculty

From my knowledge it is very low because number of students are high but it not create any problem to teach them because not all students never come to college combined in a particular day . Head of department of Commerce is the sweetest person or teacher i ever met in college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees of my course is around 1760 rupees, which is taken by the college's authority through the chancellor portal, but it can be lower for girls and other categories students. E kalyan scholarship is given by the state government to students.

Our Annual Fest "SANGHATI UTSAV " is really popular in the city in fact, Students from other colleges also drop by to Enjoy the breathtaking moments Created in the Sanghati Utsav and you would not want to miss out on that either.. and Basanto Utsav is also there... Library is overflowing with wisdom and knowledge, the central library has a collection of not less than a couple of thousand books and it could be more than that if students requested to... Sports programs are also organised at regular intervals but it can be more frequent if we want better Athletes from our college.. There are a lot of Unorganised Social Groups running in our college but I personally like the variety of clubs our college has to offer, One I truly like is SWABALAMBAN (run by Commerce Hindi-Shift) and I like to join in program's hosted by them.. Social Gatherings Truly Impact Humans life, So does Clubs...

Faculty

I like our faculties but i strongly believe not all fingers can be equal. Faculties are Open, Approachable and more than happy to help us tackle all our doubts to make sure, No doubts ho unheard.. I won't name a faculty I like or not, because that's subjective but I will strongly suggest you all to interact freely with your faculties, You will definitely enjoy taking this suggestion... There are two seperate Examinations in a particular semester, Mid-Semester Exams and End-Semester Exams, nothing to worry though it's all good... Not much students fail but those who aren't able to clear may attempt again in the next year without having to leave the next semester classes and Examination...

Basically I have do regular basis classes that is the reason I don't have knowledge about the fest and programs organised in the college but I get some information about the this because we have a group which created by the college and in which all students are connected and get information related to college given by Teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of my course which I paid and also paid paid by friends was 7000 and I think it different for every cast in the college because it is a government college and this rules are made by the Jharkhand Government. The students who belongs from different castes like SC , St etc have to pay lower fees .

• The faculty to student relationship is very easy going and the faculty members are quite approachable. • The name of the faculty I liked is Mr. A.K. Mukherjee, I liked him because he is very understanding and helpful. All the faculty members are very good. • There are 3 years and 6 semesters so we have to give 2 exams every year and the exams are not difficult. Near about 20% students fail to clear the exams. The course curriculum is totally relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview

• The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to take this course was that I wanted to pursue a professional course after graduation. • The curriculum prepares us pretty well for the real-world applications and further academic pursuits. • Few subjects, vocational courses and interships should be added to the course. • There are 3 years and 6 semesters so we have to give 2 exams every year and the exams are not difficult.

Every year in May-June our annual college fest was full of grandeur. Many guest artists would come to perform. But one thing I can't appriciate is that the collection of books in our college library was not good. In those time facilities and technological provisions was not available. On the other hand our college was famous for indoor and outdoor games all time.

Fees and Financial Aid

It was year-wise fees, in our time and the fees was 1200 in the first year including examination charge and all. In the second yera it was around Rs.1000/- and in the third year i.e. in the last year it was around Rs.1000/-. The fees structure for the OBC and General catagorised student was same and SC/ST students were paying 25% less than the normal fees.

Campus Life

A college life is not just about studying, it's also about growing as a person through different activities and experiences. The college has all the necessary infrastructure and maintains them properly. The quality of teaching is very good and entire college staff is very understanding and supportive. i love the family-like atmosphere that surrounds me. It's a lot better than attack by a pack of badgers. The college really cares about it's members. The freedom to choose your career and explore your interest is liberating, you'll face challenge, like tough assignments and exams, but they help you grow.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is good and hostel rooms are average and education here is very good and professors here are very friendly and helpful for the students and they teach not only theotically but also give more practical knowledge and library is large and contains many types of books related to studies and classrooms are good. The collage experience was a memorable mix of academic, frendship, band personal growth. The campus was spacious with good infrastructure, including multiple canteen, libraries, and sports facilities. The faculty is very intelligent, supportive and encouraging.

• The faculty-to-student ratio is 125:1 . The faculty to students relationship is not good and also they are not approachable if you any queries. • There is mam who teach us accounts whom I liked the most because she is very helpful . She takes classes for those students who are not able to attend classes and also takes zoom classes when the examination are close and also solve our queries related to studies, exam etc. • There is a mam who teach us law , I don't like her because she is very rude and not helpful to students. • Only one internal exam taken by the college in every semester and after that vbu university provide dates for external exams as well as exam centres on different college. Exam moderate. There are few who fails in the examination.

Campus Life

• There are number of festivals done in the college but only on the day like republic day , independence day etc in the vivekanand auditorium. Frequency for this types of fastivals are very low . • Library is available in the college but range of books is lower and books are easily accessible. • In the whole commerce department only one smart board is available which not used on the regular basis so I can say that technological facilities within the classroom is not good enough. • Sports and extracurricular activities only done in the NCC department. • i don't aware of any social groups, clubs, students portals which is present in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Year wise the fees are 6000 ,like in the end of this course we will have to pay total 25000. 2. Tution fees be like rs 570 per sem but there's no tution guidance, registration fees is rs 450 , admission fees is 3500 , there's no gymnasium or development in college but they are taking charges, even though the canteen is shut down for a long time , there's no freshers or farewell in my department, even there's no wifi in my department but the college is taking extra charges for that, everything is messed up. I regret for choosing this sh'it college. 3. Every batches fees are way too much expensive than other colleges. 4. Here you can get all goverment related scholarships but thing is it isn't that easy , you have to suffer a lot for the principal and hod's signature.

Faculty

1. There are enough faculties to teach out but in my department bcom(H) , the faculty of major sub is kind of a psycho person, he takes 90 mins to teach us a chapter by theoretically which we can't even understand but the same thing i taught by my tution teacher under 15 mins . No you can have a rough idea . If i have to rate my faculties then i would choose 5/10. 2. There's only one faculty i like because of his teaching is my math teacher.MP and also the Economics teacher is also very good faculty. 3. First of all IM , he is very bad at teaching. At first you'll think he is the best teacher (even i thought) but after taking a tution you can guess the difference between their teaching. 4. In my course there's only two internal exam and 6 exams for sem 1.

Ques. What is the cut off percentage for B.Com F&A in Christ University?

● Top Answer By Savita Iyer on 22 Apr 26

Ans. CGPA to percentage conversion varies by university—always use your institution's official formula. Conversion methods: Common Formula: Percentage = CGPA × 9.5 (widely used but not universal). University-Specific: Some use CGPA × 10, CGPA × 9, or custom multipliers—verify officially. Marksheet Reference: Recent marksheets often display both CGPA and percentage equivalents. Official Certificate: For job applications or admissions, request university-issued conversion certificate. Grade Point Scale: 10-point, 4-point, and 5-point scales use different conversion factors. Check your university's examination section website for authorized conversion formulas. Avoid third-party converters—they may not match your university's method.Read more

Ques. Is it worth doing bcom accounting and finance in SRM institute of science and technology Chennai. What's the scope and could you please give me full details like exams we should persuade, college etc.

● Top Answer By Kashish Yaduvanshi on 31 Mar 23

Ans. Some basic details of the BCom program from SRM Institute of Science and Technology are  Particulars  Data Duration 3 years Course Level UG Degree Total Tuition Fees INR 3.90 Lakh Total Seats 130 Qualification  12th CBSE Entry Criteria 50%  Candidates must have passed in 10+2 (Accountancy & Commerce Mandatory) with mentioned marks from any recognised board. Median CTC  INR 2.5 Lakh Highest CTC  INR 41.6 Lakh Top Recruiters  ACCENTURE | Biocon | canon | DATA PATTERNS | GODREJ | HONEYWELL | just dial | Samsung | Tech Mahindra Some more details about the University are Infrastructure : The college has decent infrastructural facilities with great importance to sports and extracurricular activities Academics : Honestly, this is where the Institute lacks. The staff delivers robotic knowledge without any lively classroom discussions making the learning experience monotonous. Placements : The placement cell of the college works pretty hard to maintain a decent placement scenario and students with good academic performance usually get good packages.  ROI: Another aspect I feel one should consider is the ROI which is low in case of SRM. The fees are extremely high in comparison to the academic standards but the surety of placements makes people choose it anyway. Campus Life : You get to experience amazing college life with lots of creative activities and new things to learn. Ultimately it’s you who decides whether a certain college is right for you or not, so do your part of the research and make a wise decision.Read more

Ques. How should I prepare for B.Com A&F (IGNOU)?

● Top Answer By Tanvi Bhati on 26 Dec 22

Ans. First and foremost, you will be eligible to sit for the BCOM(A&F) term-end examination only if you submit assignments relevant to your course. To do so, you must first download the assignment question papers from the IGNOU portal online or visit the regional centre, where they will provide you with the question papers offline, and then write the answers for those assignments and submit them at the applicable study centre you selected during your course registration. Obtain an acknowledgement copy of the submission status and check the submission status online on a regular basis. If you have passed your CA- CPT (foundation) and CA- IPCC (intermediate), you will be exempt from writing a few subjects. The application process for examinations can be done online or offline. Your examination application will only be processed if your assignment submission status is updated online. If you are applying offline, you must obtain a copy of the application printout or purchase it from the IGNOU office, complete it, and have it signed by study centre personnel before mailing it to the regional centre corresponding to your exam centre of choice, along with a DD for the desired examination fee as prescribed. In terms of preparation, you should focus on your upcoming CA final exams first, and then immediately begin working on your BCOM exam preparation. IGNOU's study material is more than adequate, and it attempts to cover all of the volumes contained within it. Furthermore, you can download previous years' question papers from the IGNOU portal (minimum up to three attempts suggested and maximum depending on time available) and try to answer those questions accordingly.Read more
