Course Curriculum Overview

4

• The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to take this course was that I wanted to pursue a professional course after graduation. • The curriculum prepares us pretty well for the real-world applications and further academic pursuits. • Few subjects, vocational courses and interships should be added to the course. • There are 3 years and 6 semesters so we have to give 2 exams every year and the exams are not difficult.

Fees and Financial Aid

• Tution fees- ? 12,000 Exam Enrolment- ? 600 Registration- ? 900 • The fees of my batchmates for other categories were also same that is ? 12,000 • There is also a scholarship named Swami Vivekananda Scholarship available for students for financial aid and the amount is ? 1,000 per month.

Campus Life

4

• Every year in the month of January social fest is organised by the college. • The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library is also quite huge. • The facilities in the classrooms are average. • Every year Inter-college volleyball tournament is held in the college campus. • Student union group is run by the students themselves and it doesn't impact their student life at all.

Admission

• I applied to:- i)Michael Madhusudan Memorial College ii)Durgapur Government College iii)Bidhan Chandra College iv)BB College v) Trivenidevi Bhalotia College I got a confirmed admission from BB College and BC college. I choose this college because of the distance from my house. • No I didn't get a rejection from other colleges. • The admission process is very simple first we have to fill the form online in the official website of the college then selection will be done on the basis of the merit lists and then physical verification of documents will be done.

Faculty

5

• The faculty to student relationship is very easy going and the faculty members are quite approachable. • The name of the faculty I liked is Mr. A.K. Mukherjee, I liked him because he is very understanding and helpful. All the faculty members are very good. • There are 3 years and 6 semesters so we have to give 2 exams every year and the exams are not difficult. Near about 20% students fail to clear the exams. The course curriculum is totally relevant.

Night Life

3

• Yes there is a gym present in the college which is open to all the students, library is also there and a huge cafeteria is also there where variety of food items are served. • The campus timings are from 7:30 am to 7:30pm • The canteen is the best place to hangout and yes the locality is safe to roam around at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average
