National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources is an ISO certified research institute located in Bangalore, Karnataka. It was established in 1993 and was earlier known by the name of National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Insects. It is responsible for collection, characterisation, conservation, exchange and utilisation of insects which are important for farming. The Bureau acts as a nodal agency for collection, characterization, documentation, conservation, exchange, research and utilization of agriculturally important insect resources (including mites, spiders and related arthropods) and insect derived resources for sustainable agriculture.

The course curriculum was a two years course. The curriculum was good and very convenient for studying. At the end of the course, students have to present a paper based on their thesis work and have to clear a viva voce examination. The whole curriculum was based on course work, field work, viva, dissertation.
The course curriculum was lengthy but very important. The minimum duration of the course was 3 years. It was a full time course. The curriculum includes the completion of research paper. The whole curriculum was based on thesis work, open seminars, comprehensive examination.
The course curriculum of the student is student friendly. The syllabus is manageable. Even the students never could complain about the exam structure. Everything went on smoothly. Practical experiments were a must thing along with theoretical studies.
The course is not very hectic. We were taught about various insects and their habitats. We learnt about their characteristic traits. We were assessed on the basis of exams which were both practical and theoretical. Beside, we were also asked to do projects.
As a PhD student the course is very Elaborated. The students are taught in a very innovative way and repetition is done For each and every topic. The students are not forced to study many topics in a day and teachers make sure that every single subject is deeply explained.
The course curriculum in this college was elaborated. Every minute was used to its maximum potential and teachers were very precise in what they were teaching. Test were taken regularly to ensure that we are understanding the subject. We were evaluated on the basis of the test and class performance.
I am extremely happy and satisfied with my college. The college has given me great opportunities and experiences as well as memories which is definitely going to help me in the future and has made my vision more broad towards the competitive approach of the society.

Course Curriculum of my subject includes knowledge of handling arthropod and gastropods especially molluscs, their collection and processing along with a molecular characterization of arthropod and gastropods.
PhD is a full time on campus program which is doctorate level and has a duration of 2 years and follows semester system. The course focuses primarily on research and practicals. The students are provided with well equipped library and laboratories. The days are tiring and exams are also hectic.
