What Students Say
Likes
- There are lot of clubs to showcase our talents organised by skilled students only under experienced and well trained faculties
- They focus more on practical approaches rather than theoritcal one and they start preparing their students for specific fields from the very first day . Teachers from the very first day treat us as managers which increases our competitiveness
- Since it's a new campus infrastructure is really nice with clean premises and lot of food options to choose from in canteen . Veg and non veg section is also separated
Dislikes
- I don't know why they focus so much on id card . Even we can't enter by showing our kp ( online identification ). Have to wear id card 24/7 otherwise no entry
- Campus area should be a bit more big as now third year students have also joined so theres somewhere a lack of space
Course Curriculum Overview
So Studying economics and finance is an excellent idea for a number of reasons, starting from the careers you qualify for to the salaries associated with those positions. Through such a degree, you will equip yourself with finance skills you can use in economy-related jobs and others not related to it. Teaching methods are good as they focus on LCA ( learner centric approach ) which is basically solving practical problems more including debates , shows etc. Exams are now being replaced by LCA and cias which is continuous internal assessments which happens every month.
Placement Experience
Students become capable for college placements after 3rd year itself and they can apply for the same. Lot of companies visit our college including Deloitte , JP Morga, dshaw and overall of top 30 to 40 mnc and companies . At least 80 percent students gets placed every year. Highest package offered from my course is 1200000 and averages is 6 to 7 laks
Fees and Financial Aid
it is different for different courses. Like for my course, which is BBA finance and economics, it's 220000. It varies for various other management courses. Scholarships are available for students after their first year depending on their total cgpa in the 1st semester. If it's above 3.5 , you can apply for a scholarship once an official notice for it is published in kp or through the examination department.
Campus Life
Various events ges held in our college literally every month as there are lot of clubs for various courses and programmes. Annual festivals includes ethnic day and darpan which is like a 1 month event for dance singing and for different talents showcases. Teachers teach using white board with innovative videos to make us understand better . Basketball football cricket badminton are the sports which one can play and apply in teams in our college. Library include a lot books to prepare for CAT , SAT , GMAT etc and also preparing for academic courses. Cusbma , e - cell , caps are some of the famous clubs which provide experience in my program and course and also credits without which you can't graduate from christ
Hostel Facilities
Hostel warden for both boys and girls are friendly but sometimes strict as well in concerned for students. Rooms are big with only three sharing options. You will get the common room which is comparatively big with 7 to 8 common washrooms in each floor. Rooms get cleaned each day. There are total of 10 floors and 10 rooms in each floor with lift service. Meal is really nice with different sections of veg and non veg. One can apply for hostel from again Christ University website once you are selected for the college. Teachers or staffs will guide you to do the same
Admission
Eligibility is simple that you should be 12 pass with pass marks in boards. Application form can be find in Christ University official website and it get released from March onwards. Ok so as per selection process I had to clear three rounds first was the written test of 2 hours which included gk maths current affairs logical reasoning etc and after clearing that you have to clear personal interview along with micro presentation in which you will be given a topic and you have to speak in that for 2 to 3 mins and you will be selected according to it. I think that they should ask more professional questions rather than simple ones as there will be no competition otherwise .
Faculty
Interaction with teachers is prioritised in Christ University. Like for every doubt you can go to them and ask again and again untill your doubts get clear. Teachers are very professional and treat us like professionals only. They know how to manage students and treat them with respect. There is mutual understanding between teachers and students in Christ University and they take there jobs very seriously . They don't believe in wasting time and try to give us knowledge in any field every single second
Interview Experience
No GD was faced by me. My micro presentation topic was on digital marketing in which I had to speak for 2 mins straight. Micro presentation is done after you clear your written exam and personal interview is taken simultaneously with MP. I prepared for these rounds by seeing youtubes as there are lot of contents that you can get from there
