Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose the course of Applied Finance and Analytics, which I felt was needed. All the subjects I'm studying right now are relevant and i feel like are the foundation for the course I'm studying. The curriculum and faculty prepares is for real world applications by giving us CIAs in a much more realistic way to have the experience. There's ample gap between the timing of exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

We have a portal called Christ consulting that shapes us and helps us into getting internships at various companies. They help you in becoming eligible to apply for top companies as their interns and also help you get placed there as intern

Placement Experience

4

The placements in my college are really good, students become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester i believe, and the companies that visited go from Accenture, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, and more. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue further education abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had to pay 1,45,000/- as my fees, and will have to pay the same for the next 2 years as well. I got a scholarship for 20,000/- for being a Karnataka student. My batchmates from other states had to pay 1,65,000/- as their fees

Campus Life

4.5

There are many fests in our college, there are multiple clubs that host events throughout the year. There are many journals and books available in library. Our classrooms are well equipped with a projector, speakers, proper lighting, etc. Sports are a big thing in christ, there is a football turf, basketball turf, valleyball turf and more... There are many student-run social groups and clubs that provide us a platform to showcase our skills and discuss our queries

Admission

The admission process of this college was really smooth, I had to go through a level of entrance examination, skill assesment, personal interview and micro presentation. I chose this college as Christ focuses on nurturing holistic growth and not only academics while other college didn't really reach that mark. This college also has a huge number of people from outside states giving us the opportunity to build a network

Faculty

4

The faculty in our campus are good, they're really approachable and are open to student suggestions. There are 2 CIAs, one Mid sem exam for 50 marks, and one end sem exam for 100 marks. All these along with attendance gets clubbed together to make up your GPA. The exams aren't that difficult if you study well. The course curriculum is really relevant and I feel like is needed

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
