BIT Sindri in a nutshell

Likes

Best workshops and practical learning options available for students of each and every trade.
Every basic needs of students is available in campus itself in a very affordable price.
The college campus is full of natural beauty and is having grounds for every sports with well maintained sports club, where you can enroll free of cost.

Dislikes

Hostels are in campus itself but still you have to walk around 2 kms to reach to your classrooms everyday.

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements and PPOs. Tata motors, Tata Powers, Jindal Steel Limited, etc with an average number of 5-6 students. In my batch highest package was 11 LPA in Tata Steels and overall average package was 6 LPA. Around 40% students were get placed in my batch. Preparations for government examninations to get into PSUs.

Life in BIT Sindri

Likes

Mess availability and facilities provided here
The behaviour of the teaching and non teaching staff specially
the swiftness in paper work as well as official terms being carried out in administratiuon

Dislikes

power cut is one of the major problems here which is common in places inside jharkhand
no availability to wifi in the students hotel , it is only provided in the central library
somewhat less package than average in the soft branches

Placement Experience:

placements are good in core branches like electrical and mechanical if a student gets no placement then he/she appears for off campus placements or prepare for government exams here mostly form 7th semester students start getting placement offers vedanta , tata , infosys , etc have visited here for more than 200 offers in different branches highest poackage last year was 16 lakhs and average package is 7 lakhs almost 96% srtudents get placed here after btech i will ive gate and carry for psu

All over college is very good I like most of the thing in the college nearly everything faculty also very good teaching process is also very good faculties are also very well educated and they have done PHD
Girls boys ratio is average interaction is well so very average and environmental is very good for girls also in the college and boys also both seniors and also supportive and helping Nature teachers are also helping Nature and they also help student
Place placement cell is very good they all the train students how to sit in placement interviews they also take test and also help student to maintain their personality in front of placement cell placement is very good company is are coming and colle

Dislikes

I only dislike some seniors are there taking ragging
Hostels are good new still also are being made but old hostels are pretty old but they are also good

Placement Experience:

College placement is very good I considered is very good in Jharkhand as college his providing very high placement to the cox's like electrical mechanical metallurgy mining their very much companies who take more students from this college because as this college has very good reputation in Jharkhand and not very bad package lowest package goes to 4 lakh but average packages and student from 3rd year from the companies my plans 18 to 20 LPa

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Likes

Among the few things that i like are the lush green campus and the clubs and societies in the campus.Whatever is happening in BIT in terms of fests, cultural events or competitions are most of the times organised by clubs of BIT.
I like the central library.Although it is not too big.It has a decent number of books and if you want to spend time reading its a good spot.
The third thing is the canteen which is the best place in the campus.

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure of the lecture halls. The lecture halls and auditorium have not been renovated from a long time.
Lack of sport facilities. BIT has no sports facilities other than a cricket and a volleyball ground.
not big tech fests or cultural fests. There are fests but on a very small scale.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Likes

This college has a supportive environment by seniors, professors.
The Alumini Network of this college is very strong.
The Campus is very green and clean and surrounded with many trees.

Dislikes

It has some lack of facilities like not having a gym for boys.
The Library of this college ipens at 9 am and closes at 5 pm which is very worst thing that i dislike.
This college does not organises fests like other colleges.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario of my college Birsa Institute of Technology(BIT), Sindri is not that much high but its average. But its very good compared to east side nit (lower nit). Its average package is 10 lakh per annum. Many apply for off campus andd has got many good offers like 45 lpa, 36 lpa..

The aspect of my College that I appreciate is Campus placements and I felt that nedded improvement is to maintain the buildings
My engagement with campus life and the quality of social interaction is very nice
The faculty is very expertise and teaching methods is very friendly

Dislikes

First things I dislike is campus Crowd there are a little bit crowd in campus in recess
Some buildings are too old and need maintainance to this
The water is not available 24/7 this cause inconvenience for us

The campus is quite big and well organised.
The faculty knowledge is quite good and they are very supportive.
You can also get a good environment in the college.

Dislikes

The faculty here is very less and you may think that there is vacancy of faculty.
I think the drinking water problem is there.
It is very obvious that you have atleast 50% attendance then only you can be able to give Internal exam.

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies like TCS, Infosys and other tech giants comes here and take only 2-3 students. So you have to be well prepared and compete with other 60 students to get placed by college. And If you are not so lucky then you have to try off campus interviews.

Likes

Here have very peaceful and good environment.
Placement is very good in my college and my senior placed at very good companies

Dislikes

Campus is not too big and college is not in the city.

Placement Experience:

Here the 7th semester are eligible for campus placement here comes the most companies and offer good package most of the students take to do abroad study for other courses and go for studies. Our faculties are helping us to sit in the campus placement.

according to fees, the building structures are very nicely maintained.
I got to learn to live life with cheapest cost possible.
the faculities of my branch are supportive except some.

Dislikes

The restriction applied by the senior like white formal dress is necessary for first year.
The language used by seniors are so offensive but yeah, with sometime you get to know to handle them.
There is no neaby shops to eat something , even cafe are not allowed for first year. So, need to go MG to eat something but MG are also not allowed to first year.

Placement Experience:

The oncampus placement are not much good, but you can get offcampus by approaching companies on the basis of your skills you can crack a good package.You can sit in oncampus plcament but if you crack a deal with a company u can't sit for other companies.

It's a state government engineering college of jharkhand
Fees structure is very less so easy affordable
Very good infrastructure and facilities , faculties are supporting

Dislikes

There is no placement till because no one batch is passout
Girls and boys ratio is less so things to be matters
This is new state government engineering college so some problems there
