JUT Ranchi Scholarship 2026: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

JTU University, under the Jharkhand Government, offers low tuition fees, further reduced by government-funded scholarships for SC, ST, and OBC students via the e-Kalyan portal. Undergraduate courses such as B.Sc in Animation and Multimedia and BTech have varying fee structures, with BTech fees being Rs. 50,000 per semester for post-2021 batch and Rs. 44,700 for earlier batches without scholarships. General fee structures include around Rs. 15,000 per year for bachelor's degrees at BIT Sindri.

Polytechnic fee structures are Rs. 110,000 over three years, with e-Kalyan offering Rs. 20,000 annually, covering approximately 50% of the total fees. Additional scholarships include the Manki Munda Chakravarthy Yozana and schemes for female diploma students. Government Polytechnic fees are minimal, with yearly admission costs around Rs. 2,605 and additional scholarships for reserved categories.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I am paying 38k semester fee in college.Which includes tuition fee . and the remaining fee.Since I am from a payment seat, I have to pay this much fee, but since I am an OBC student, the government gives me a stipend which covers the entire fee.Not only me, but all OBC, ST, SC students studying in college get this scholarship.Many students are from free seats whose fees are low, the annual fee is around 25 thousand.The name of the scholarship is Ekalyan which is run by the state government.

Fee is eligible for management quota otherwise gave polytechnic exam and free admission reservation. The management quota fee in year 4500 INR. AND cracked exam jeeceeb for free admission through counseling,fee is then admission only 1500 INR only for cracked exam student. The diploma cource duration for 3 year And if 12th passout with pcm the cource duration 2 year.

college in the jungle -dec

I am a student of Dumka Engineering College and I belong from SC category. Our semester fee is around 38k and sometimes it feels like it increase every year a little bit. For different categories the fee also changes, but for SC/ST students the load become little less because we get some support. In my case, E-Kalyan scholarship comes every year, so it reduce a big part of my financial pressure. When the scholarship come on time, it really help a lot because we also have to manage hostel and daily expenses. Overall the fee becomes manageable only because of the scholarship. The best thing is that I get all my fees back from the scholarship.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

The yearly fee of my Mechanical Engineering course in Dumka Engineering College is around ?78,000, which include tuition fee, development charges, lab fee and other compulsory charges. The hostel fee is separate, almost ?20,000 per year, and mess charges we have to pay on our own. Till now the fee is not increasing too much, only small 2–3k hike they say every year. Since I am from OBC category, I get E-Kalyan scholarship which cover almost full tuition fee, so I only pay hostel and some small amounts. My general category classmates don’t get scholarship so their yearly cost become higher. There is no extra financial aid like merit-cum-need in the college, only state scholarship is the main support for students and aicte also provide scholarship but there is lot of conditions.

BIT Sindri in a nutshell

We only have to pay two times in a year- 1st- At the start of the year session(April) which includes exams fees, tuition fees etc (? 13500) + Hostel and electricity fees(?7000) 2nd- After six months(September) which includes exams fees, tuition fees etc (? 13500)

Life in BIT Sindri

During admission student fund fee was taken worth 7500 which is per semester and annual fee of 8000 was also taken . Hostel fee is yearly worth 7500 , mess fee is 60000 yearly and electricity fee is 2500 yearly. Examination fee will be taken prior to semester exams . The fee structure is nearly same for general and obc category , but there is some relaxation for categories of ST,SC and EWSorTFW(tutiuon fee waiver). There is a scholarship provided by the college named "E-Kalayan Yojana" which helps to lower the tution fees of the college.

At the time of admission I have paid 15 000 but after second counselling I get my reservation seat from bc2 category tfwel fish behaviour so my fees is only 32 rupees early 15000 feet include people fund and tuition fees 7500 each girls get seat in tmw girls do not have to pay the fees hostel fees is 7500 per annum and it also include electricity bill of 2500 + mess fees 3900 per month college course also include program for internships college also provide internship programs inside our college and also a lot student to do internship from other company college placement is also very good in my branch metallurgy it's 8 lpa all over college is very good best facility is also very good teacher sir also very good and students have high chances of campus placement in my branch last year final year was totally 100% placed

I will be dividing this answerr in 2parts the 1st part shall talk about the fee structure for students the 2nd one shall talk about the scolarships offered. Beginning with the 1st year fees for the following categories are as follows GENERAL/OBC/EWS Annual Fee-7732 Student Fund Fee-7600 University registration fees-500 examination Fees-2000(every semester) Hostel fees-7000(annual) Electricity fees-2500(annual) Mess fees-3900(per month) SC/ST Annual Fee-1957 Student fund fee-7600 University registration fee-500 Examination fee-2000(every semester) Hostel fees-7000(annual) Electricity fee-2500(annual) Mess fees-3900(monthly) For girls as well as TFW(Tution fee wavier) students the annual fee is just 32 rupees annually.Students who have annual household income less tha 8lakhs can apply for TFW. Up onwards from 2nd year the student fund fee reduces to 4525 rupees and the university registration fee reduces to nil. About the scolarship opportunities the mjor scolarship opportunities thatb i am aware of are from Siemens FFE Reliance Yashashvi

Amazing

The fee sturucture at my college is categorized based on year of study and the student's category. For the 1st year students, the total fee for BC_1/BC-II students is Rs. 19832, while SC/ST students pay Rs. 14,057. Girls And TFW(Tutuion Fee Waivier) students from BC-1 and BC-2, SC, ST have a significantly reduced fee of Rs. 12132. During the 2nd and 3rd year, the fees are slightly lower.
