Entrance Exam Dates
There is no specific national-level entrance exam mandated for M.Phil. (Education) admission at YBN University. Admission is primarily merit-based (qualifying exam marks) and/or through the university's own Research Entrance Test (RET). Candidates with UGC-NET qualification (Phase 1: December 31, 2025 to January 7, 2026; Phase 2: June 2026 Tentative) may be given preference or exemption from the university entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed a Master's degree (M.Ed., M.A. Education, or equivalent) from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per UGC norms).
- Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master's programme may also apply provisionally, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
- Candidates with UGC-NET/JRF or equivalent national-level research qualifications are preferred.
Admission Process
- Visit the official YBN University website (ybnu.ac.in) and navigate to the Admissions section.
- Fill out the online application form and upload required documents (10th, 12th, graduation, and post-graduation marksheets and certificates, UGC-NET scorecard if applicable).
- Pay the application/registration fee online.
- Appear for the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the university, if applicable.
- Attend the personal interview/viva, if shortlisted.
- Check the merit list/selection list on the university portal.
- Complete the admission formalities and pay the first-semester fee to confirm the seat.
