The B.Tech Applicants of ASTU must be a citizen of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam with a valid PRF provided by a competent Authority.

Actually I like the overall college. But specially the campus life as well as the academic line is very good.
The sports and extracurricular activities
The hostel Life and the method of conducting exams

Placement Experience:

The students are generally eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. Very companies like ONGC, nrl, Balco, etc. visit our college and they recruit a large number of students. The average package is almost 10lpa, and the highest is almost 24lpa. Every year almost 80% of students get placed.

AEC-Through my eyes

Likes

AEC culture jis ver rich and there is a very high enthusiasm for sports.
Library provides a very good environment.
Hostel culture is very rich and the seniors help out their juniors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I took is civil engineering. I took this course because I have a keen interest in buildings and construction. The faculty ratio is about 14:400. The faculties are highly qualified for this job.

The sports culture in AEC is really enthusiastic

Placement Experience:

Our college placements are really good. Last year 292 students got placed in our college in the form of campus placements. Last year 12 students got placed in OIL and some others got placed in other PSUs like NRL IOCL etc.

Assam Engineering college

Likes

It’s really greenery, clean by which a student could focus in there studies
The hostel’s are really nice and affordable
Placement facilities are really excellent

Dislikes

It is a open campus, which I think is not nice
There’s no projectors in each and every class

Well placement facilities in our college are excellent, the package till now is 25-30 lakhs per year for starters, it has many placement facilities. 60-70% of students get placed in Assam Engineering College

The placements are very good in our college. Especially the core branches are more preferred for the jobs of PSUs. The package is also good here, as the PSUs provide at least 12 to 18 lakhs let annum. The PSUs include OIL, IOCL, NRL, etc.

Decent College

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good. Eminent companies like NRL, Oil India, and Vedanta visit each year providing an annual package of about 12-16 lakhs. About 60-70 percent of students are placed each year. A student is eligible to sit in placement from the third year.

Good academics and decent Placements

The faculty members are very friendly and dedicated.
Students get to host and be a part of various events which helps in character development.
The bus service is pretty good. It connects most part of the city.

Dislikes

The campus is bit outdated and worn out in a sense.
Since it is an open campus, the sense of security is not there

Placement Experience:

Placements are an important part of any Engineering College. In our college, placements are quite decent. Some PSUs like NRL, Oil India, Indian Oil etc visit on a regular basis. Mass recruiters like Cognizant and Capgemini visit almost every year. The training and placement cell of AEC does a good job of providing opportunities for the students.
