Course Curriculum Overview

Here faculty members are highly qualified and they teach us very well. They are professionals in their respective fields. The course structure is very good and it is relevant to practical work. In short, everything is really good.

Internships Opportunities

The internships are provided here. The internships are actually 3 types; Social internships, Academic internships, and Industrial internships. Out of these, the industrial internship is the last and we are provided with opportunities to work as an intern at NRL, IOCL, APDCL, etc.

Placement Experience

Our college placements are really good. Last year 292 students got placed in our college in the form of campus placements. Last year 12 students got placed in OIL and some others got placed in other PSUs like NRL IOCL etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this is a government college, the fee structure is very economical. The annual fee structure for this college is about 20thousand to 25 thousand. They also provide us with scholarships like ISHAN UDAY where the fresher students are awarded with 78 thousand per year.

Campus Life

Life at AEC is really good. There is a culture of sports and studies together. There are lots of clubs in our college like the Coding club, Jam club, the Bordoisila the Bihu club and so on. The Bihu club and jam club are one of the most active clubs in our college.

Admission

Cee exam must be qualified for take admission to Assam Engineering College. For the unreserved category, your cee rank must be between 1 to 200 to get the core branch in this Assam Engineering College otherwise you will apply for other branches.

Placement Experience:

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

Placement Experience:

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for internship placement in the 5th semester and for the full time, you're eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. 223 offers were made for 22 pass out students. Some of the companies that visited our campus are Amazon Deloitte ZS Associates Tekion Mindtickle Gamescraft. The highest package was 61.5 lakhs and the average package was 15.34 lakhs. 95.12 per cent of students got placed. My plan after college is to work as a software developer.

My college experience

Admission is based on the scores obtained. admission using their JEE scores, entering through the CSAP round and JoSAA counseling. The college provides category-based benefits for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates. The cutoff marks for the college typically range from 120 to 130 out of 480. Only the top-performing students in the entrance exam are admitted to the college.
