Is a domicile rule valid in ASTU?

The B.Tech Applicants of ASTU must be a citizen of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam with a valid PRF provided by a competent Authority.

Is there an Age limit for B.Tech admission to ASTU?

The University follows the guidelines of the state examination authority that is Assam CEE and complies with it. These are the requirements:The applicants must not be below 17 years of age as on August 01 of the admission year.The upper age limit of the candidates for B.Tech admission in Assam is 21 years.For SC/ ST categories, the upper age limit is 25 years.B.Sc graduates who wish to pursue B.Tech must note that the upper age limit for them is 22 years.

AEC from my side

Likes

The campus is really good here and well established.
The placement opportunity is good many high company came to this college
The classroom are big and seats are comfortable.

Dislikes

The roads that lead to the college is degraded

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester students are allowed to sit at interviews for college placements. Many companies visited this time like OIL, NRL, balco Ltd Etc. The highest package was about 17 LPA. The students getting placement in oil have the highest percentage.

AEC and its Beauty

Likes

Campus life is very good as well as academic life.
The Sports and extra curricular activities.
The hostel life and the method of conducting exams.

Dislikes

The Infrastructures and its developments.
Actually all things are good in the college
The campus is open campus. THERE IS AMPLE SCOPE FOR DEVELOPMENT.

Placement Experience:

The students are generally available for campus placements from the 7th semester. Companies like ONGC, BALCO, etc recruit a large number of students. The average package is around 10LPA and the highest package is around 20LPA. Every year, almost 80% of students get placed.

I mostly like the mode of education quality
secondly the eco friendly environment of the campus
last but not least giving opportunities on sports

Dislikes

I do not found any kind of dislikable things through out my journy.

Placement Experience:

After completing or while in 8th sem students are eligible for campus placement. There are so many companies like Maruti, OIL, IOCL, etc. are visited, and no. of offers. The average package is around 40k.

AEC- 'The land of opportunities'

Likes

Faculty members are great here and really supportive
Students also get opportunities to participate in outdoor activities
Overall it is a great experience here as we can see greenery everywhere

Dislikes

The infrastructure is a bit not upto the mark just like nits or iits
The campus is a little bit open one so i think it can be made a close campus

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement after 6th semester. The highest packaged salary offered was 24 lpa provided recently by NRL. The lowest was 4 lpa provided by cognizant. Every year 50-60 % of students get placed here which is also a great thing. I plan to just study a little bit higher likewise doing MTech or other stuff.

Review of AEC from A to Z

Likes

The campus life is awesome. There is lake beneath the campus which is literally a natural therapy for all the stress that we get.
The hostel life. Endless amount of memories are made during those4 yrs.
The teaching staff. Most of them are perfect in their field of work and are ready to help you in your studies.

Dislikes

The college lacks a proper boundary. So u get to see houses, shops and various vehicles that passes through the main road of AEC everyday which gets annoying at times
The equipments of the lab are very old and sometimes don't work properly.
The food of the canteen of AEC is very expensive. So as students we find it difficult to purchase them.

Placement Experience:

Since I am a freshman, I don't have much knowledge about placements but as far as I know, students become eligible for placement during the 6th semester. Both core and tech companies visit the college each year ranging from companies like Cognizant, and Dalmiya to various renowned PSUs like Oil, and NRL. The average package ranges from 5-6 lakhs each year.

AEC-College in the Heart of Assam

Likes

Teaching staff Transporation Fun way to syudy in classes

I like the campus of our college.There are plenty of activities in our college.
I like our faculty members.The professors are so experieced.
I like our hostel facilities.We get free wifi in our hostels.

Dislikes

Our college was established in 1955. So its infrastructure is little bit outdated.
There is only one girls hostel in our college.
Compared with NITs, the facilities here are less.

Placement Experience:

Placements give students an important direction to move forward in life. The placement phase in college allows them to choose whether they want to get into the working industry right away or focus on a further degree. In our college, the average package is 6 LPA.

AEC- The most underrated college in entire North East India

Likes

The campus the beauty of which cannot be described in a mere few words
The hostel accommodation providing the students some of the best rooms to spend their 4 years in
The daily teaching routine which is neither too lenient nor too hectic

Dislikes

The mess food which never stands out to anyone's tastes
The abundant invasion of wild animals in the campus including monkeys, snakes, pythons, tigers etc
The university paper grading system which takes a lot of time to satisfy any student's queries

Placement Experience:

The Training and Placement Cell of AEC has done a splendid job over the past years making it very easy for students even in the core branches to get jobs in PSUs like OIL India, IOCL, NRL, BALCO, BHEL, etc. There is a lot to add to the list. Any student getting placed in the above companies can expect a package not less than 9 LPA with recently the package getting as high as up to 24 LPA.
