Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I was interested in engineering. Our faculty members are so experienced. Some of them did Ph.D. IITs. The student-faculty ratio is an important feature that determines how well the academics are conveyed by the college or how well students are This is an important feature that determines how well the academics are conveyed by the college or how well students are trained

Internships Opportunities

4

There are 3 mandatory internships students are bound to undergo -Academic internship, social internship and industrial internship. Students get ample opportunities in various industries including PSUs, core companies etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements give students an important direction to move forward in life. The placement phase in college allows them to choose whether they want to get into the working industry right away or focus on a further degree. In our college, the average package is 6 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

A scholarship's impact can make a big difference in how much time and resources you will have during college to spend on enhancing your experience and knowledge through service learning, volunteer opportunities and internships. I got an Ishanuday scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Joining an on-campus club can provide personal, social, and professional benefits. Clubs can help you find community, make friends, network, and have fun. In most cases, you should join 1-2 on-campus clubs and make real commitments.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are provided with all basic facilities including water coolers with water purifiers, washing machines, a common TV room, a common reading room, a common gym, etc. Adequate dining facilities are available for all hostellers.

Admission

First, we have to give Combined Entrance Exam(CEE) for selection in state engineering colleges. Total marks in CEE are 360. 120 each for physics, maths, and chemistry. Out of all state engineering colleges, Assam Engineering College(Jalukbari) is a well-known engineering college. We have to get at least 160 marks to get a seat in this college. The eligibility for the B.tech course is you must be a science student. After securing good marks in CEE, we get notifications on the DTE website about admission and application forms, etc. If you are a reserved student, then you get some benefits during the admission process. Your admission process will be reduced. Our college makes an effort in preparing students to face interviews and how they can present themselves in the best possible manner.

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.
