The decision of me chosing this course was very random but with time I actually liked and understand the basic needs and principle of it. Since geology is the earth study it got me interest in many new stuffs with is also is fun and exciting. The teaching level is really upto the mark. Even tho it's a bit difficult for me in the beginning but with time my skills improved and I started to keep with the teachings and my studies

I did my Bachelor in Science in biotechnology so I decided to take my master's degree in the same subject. There were eight teachers in our department. All the professors are very cooperative with students. The exams are on time. There are 4 semesters in the whole course.

Course syllabus contains all the major topics of Chemistry which makes it easier to prepare for further entrance exams. Practicals were held timely and conservatively. exams were conducted in a timely fashion but the question paper set was always a level more advanced than the level of teaching.

The geography department at the university is good. The department is small, with a maximum of 30-40 students in each class. This helps in good interaction with the teachers and avoids congestion. The teachers are good and very cooperative. They help the students in every way, be it academic or extra-curricular activities. The department takes part in university activities actively. The teachers also help and are actively involved. All the teachers in the department have PhDs. Teachers use theory as well as practical knowledge to teach the subject. Computers, smart phones, and journals are also used by them. They clear every doubt of the students and also, if necessary, they teach topics beyond the syllabus for future help. The exams are conducted on time. And the question pattern is challenging for the students.

Cotton college provides an educational opportunity and a marketability that is almost unparalleled. This factor made me take an admission in this college.Graduates are highly sought after and often become leaders in their field.

Its one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in Assam,the syllabus is very upto date,there are proper labs and equipments for gis.The teachers are friendly and the university have some of the finest teachers.

Government must have to look a way out for the bright future of cotton. They should have fill the vacancy and provide fund for infrastructure development. It is one of the best college for higher secondary and graduation level but it still have work on infrastructure for the PG students. They have a very good track record of NAAC, got A+ ranking. Cotton have very good exposure for the students who want to work in the sports, literature and cultural fields.
